Factum: Jurnal Sejarah dan Pendidikan Sejarah promotes research in the broad field of history and Education with particular respect to Indonesia, but not limited to authorship or topical coverage within the region. Contributions are expected from historian, educator, teacher, senior researchers, project managers, research administrators and PhD students at advanced stages of their research, representing both public organizations and private industry. Equally, the journal if intended for scholars and students, reseachers working at research organizations and government agencies, and also for enterprises undertaking applied R&D to lead innovations. The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include: Theoretical articles Empirical studies Practice-oriented papers Case studies Review of papers, books, and resources. As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style. The below mentioned areas are just indicative. The editorial board also welcomes innovative articles that redefine any history and history education field. Abstract

The paper is entitled “The Development of Pondok Pesantren Al-Musyarrofah in Cianjur (1975-2014). The researcher’s interest about Al-Musyarrofah based on cohesiveness between traditional pesantren with formal education that develops so rapidly from increasing of santri every year, in addition the application the curriculum or method of Kulliyatul Mu’allimin wal Mu’allimat Al-Islamiyah and as well as santri of Al-Musyarrofah who come from all regions of Indonesia. As the main problem discussed in this paper is how the development of Pondok Pesantren Al-Musyarrofah in Cianjur (1975-2014)?. And then the main problem is divided into four research questions, namely: how the background establishment of Al-Musyarrofah?; how is the condition of Al-Musyarrofah under KH. Wildan Affandi’s leadership; how the development of educational institutions contained in Al-Musyarrofah?; what are the driving and inhibiting factors in development of Al-Musyarrofah?. The method used in this paper is the historical method, use the following steps: heuristic, external and internal critics, sources interpretation and historiography which includes a general description, the background of the establishment of pondok pesantren, the condition of Al-Musyarrofah under KH. Wildan Affandi’s leadership, the development of educational institutions contained in Al-Musyarrofah, the driving and inhibiting factors in development of Al-Musyarrofah. Referring to the results of the paper obtained several conclusions. Al-Musyarrofah was founded in 1833 by Syeikh Tb. Abdullah Umar Syarifuddin. The leadership of pesantren has been replaced by six generations, modernization of Al-Musyarrofah occurred in 2008 by establishing integrated Islamic Junior High School. Al-Musyarrofah doesn’t accept santri kalong, but only accept santri mukim.

Abstract

Argumentation skills are included in the 4C competencies (Creative, Critical Thinking, Communicative, and Collaborative). This research is the application of learning techniques by conducting the student debate club method, which can make students more active by developing speaking skills in the following lessons, especially in terms of expressing their opinions or arguments. In this study, there were three cycles in which each cycle carried out one action using the Class Action Research (CAR) model designed by Kemmis and McTaggart consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The choice of CAR is to be able to change and improve the quality of learning according to the planned goals. Sub indicators regarding the argumentation skills used are confident in arguing, not questioning whether or not an argument is true, voice clarity, fluent when speaking, appreciating other people’s arguments, criticizing other people’s arguments wisely, presenting arguments logically and analytically, and presenting arguments based on argumentation.

Abstract

This study is entitled “Improving Student Creativity Through the Storyboardthat.com Application in Learning History (Classroom Action Research in Class XI C IIK MA EXACTLY 99 Rancabango). This research is motivated by the findings of researchers in Class XI C IIK MA EXACTLY 99 Rancabango which shows the low creativity of students in learning history. The creativity is very important to be developed and enhanced in learning one of them in learning history. Findings in class XI C IIK MA EXACTLY 99 Rancabago related to low creativity include low student curiosity, low student creativity in working on assignments and low student creativity in delivering information during presentations. This class action research was carried out in three cycles which in the first and second cycles were carried out three actions while in the third cycle two actions were carried out using the Dave Ebbut model. The purpose of this study is to increase student creativity in learning history. The creative aspects that are used as indicators in this study are based on Rachmawati and Kurniati’s opinions, including great or enthusiastic curiosity, having ideas and proposals, having different opinions from others, having high imagination and asking good questions and weighing. Obtaining a score from each indicator has increased in each cycle so that the acquisition of the score can be seen a result that shows an increase in creativity. Cycle I with a percentage of 62% increased by 12% in cycle II to 74% and increased again by 17% in cycle III to 91%. This shows the success of storyboarding through the application storyboardthat.com which is effectively applied in learning history to increase student creativity.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low information literacy skills of students. This can be seen from the low skills of students in finding, processing, and presenting information. These skills can be seen through learning outcomes, because learning outcomes are a measure of the success of the learning process. Therefore, this study entitled "The Effect of Using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) Method on Information Literacy Skills in terms of Student Learning Outcomes in History Learning (Quasi Experimental Research at Class X SMA Negeri 9 Bandung). The CIRC method is used in the experimental class by dividing students into small groups, which then each finding, processing, and presenting information, as well as making answers to problems. This study was conducted to examine the effect of using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method on information literacy skills in terms of student learning outcomes in history learning. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method with one group time series design. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Bandung. The instrument used to obtain data in the study was a written test in the form of multiple choice questions and a questionnaire. Based on the data obtained from the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test, the Sig. 0.004 0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted so that there is an effect of using the CIRC method on information literacy skills both for groups of students who have information literacy skills "Good", "Good Enough" and “Not Good”. Meanwhile, the results of the pretest and postest statistical tests show that there were differences in learning outcomes for groups of students who had information literacy skill “Good”, “Good Enough, or “Not Good before and after using the CIRC method. This can be seen from the increase in the average pretest-postest score and the gain index of each experimental class.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the development of wayang kulit in Bekasi in 1970-2015. Broadly speaking, the main problem studied in this article is about "How is the existence of wayang kulit in Bekasi in the midst of the rapid pace of globalization in 1970-2015?". The author uses historical methods consisting of four steps: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the results of research in its development, wayang kulit in Bekasi experienced dynamics in the span of 1970-2015. In the 1970s this art is in great demand by the public, it can be seen from the intensity of the performance is very dense. But entering 2015 the intensity of wayang kulit performances in Bekasi is decreasing. This indicates that the Betawi puppet was demoted by Betawi ethnic community it self and the society in general. Globalization is one of the factors that cause a decrease in public interest in traditional arts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang urgensi literasi digital dan tantangannya dalam konteks pembelajaran sejarah, sejalan dengan penggunaan teknologi dan informasi yang telah berkembang pesat, kemampuan dalam mencari sumber informasi yang dapat dipertanggung jawabkan menjadi sebuah kewajiban yang harus dikuasai oleh seseorang sebagai pengguna sumber informasi. Dalam konteks literasi digital, setiap orang memerlukan kemampuan untuk melakukan pencarian di internet, pandu arah hypertext, evaluasi konten informasi dan penyusunan pengetahuan. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif, karena penelitian yang dilakukan memiliki subjek penelitian yang merupakan bagian dari gejala sosial, situasi lapangan disajikan tanpa dimanipulasi. Adapun dampak positif dari diterapkannya literasi digital dalam pembelajaran sejarah yaitu: (1) membantu proses pembelajaran;(2) memaksimalkan kemampuannya dalam berpikir kritis dan kreatif serta memiliki pola pemikiran yang berbeda karena tidak adanya keterbatasan dalam mendapatkan sumber pengetahuan;(3) membuka peluang bagi guru untuk lebih produktif dalam menggunakan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran.Literasi Digital : Urgensi dan Tantangan dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya keterampilan kerjasama siswa, sehingga berpengaruh pada proses pembelajaran, khususnya ketika dilaksanakannya diskusi kelompok. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XI Unggulan SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Indikator keterampilan kerjasama yang diukur pada penelitian ini, yaitu menggunakan kesepatan, mengatur dan mengorganisir, berada dalam diskusi kelompok, serta mengambil giliran dan berbagi tugas. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan (act), observasi (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, perkembangan siswa dalam mencapai kriteria indikator keterampilan kerjasama yang telah ditentukan mengalami peningkatan dari setiap siklusnya. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari perolehan skor setiap indikator pada setiap siklusnya yang mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini menunjukkan keberhasilan dari penerapan metode Quick On the Draw dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kerjasama siswa.This research is concerned with the lack of cooperation skills of students, so the effect on the learning process, especially when the implementation group discussion.This research is being conducted in Class XI Unggulan SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung. The main purpose of this research is to improve the cooperation skills of students in learning history. The indicator to measure cooperation skills in this research is to using the agreement, organizing, being in groups, and taking turns and sharing assignments. This reseach uses the classroom action research designed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consists of four stages: planning, acts, observation and reflection. This research was conducted in three cycles. According to the data that has been analysed, there’s an increase on every cycle in th students developments to reach the criteria of cooperation skills indicator, this can be seen by looking at the scores on every indicator in each cycle. This shows success at the applying in the method Quick On The Draw in improving the cooperation skill of students.

Abstract

The dynamics that occurred in Ronggeng Kedempling dance art in Majalengka Regency during the period 2011-2018, there was an effort to revitalize this art that was initially vacuum and unknown to the public became one of the icons of traditional art originating from Majalengka Regency. The artists made changes to the traditional arts due to negative views and aimed to make Ronggeng Kedempling dance acceptable to the community. The method used in this study is a historical method consisting of heuristics, source criticism, and historiography and assisted by interdisciplinary science, namely sociology and anthropology. While data collection techniques are carried out through literature studies, documentation studies and interviews. Based on the findings, Ronggeng Kedempling dance art is a traditional art undergoing changes and adjustments due to social changes in the supporting community. The change in the supporting component of the arts is the result of creativity and innovation from artists. Various preservation efforts have been made so that this art can withstand the changing conditions of the times. As for the preservation efforts of the artists by doing devolution, ronggeng kedempling dance learning in workshops and in schools and activities in the making of muri records.

Abstract

The research examine about Mobile Brigade Corps’ contribution in overcoming the West Java’s DI/TII affairs. The background of this research is because as a police troops, Mobile Brigade Corps contribute in overcoming one of the domestic security intruption problems that happened in Indonesia in the 1950’s decade, namely West Java’s DI/TII. However, that contribution from Mobile Brigade Corps is unpopular. Then, the main question in this research is how is the contribution of the Mobile Brigade Corps in overcoming the West Java’s DI/TII affairs. The method used in this research was a historical research method, with four research steps, namely heuristics, criticsm, interpretation, and historiography. The research technique used for collected the data was literature and documentation study. Based on this research’s result, West Java was in emergency state (SOB)/danger situation in the 1950’s deacade, it was because at that time, the security condition in West Java was worsed due to the domestic security intruption problem, caused by West Java’s DI/TII. Mobile Brigade Corps involved in overcoming the West Java’s DI/TII affairs because at that time, Djawatan Kepolisian Negara was involved in the task of overcoming that West Java’s DI/TII for seconded to Tentara Teritorium III/Siliwangi, Mobile Brigade Corps used because it’s the paramilitary troops from Djawatan Kepolisian Negara. The efforts from Mobile Brigade Corps were formed the Ranger Troops and mobilized Mobile Brigade Coprs’ troops, including the Ranger Troops in domestic security operation to overcoming the West Java’s DI/TII affairs.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The spread of the Covid-19 virus which causes a pandemic has affected various aspects of life, including the educational world. Through Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020, the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding the implementation of education policies in the emergency period of the spread of the corona virus disease (Covid-19). Requires all learning activities to be carried out online or better known as Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). No exception for SMA Negeri 7 Bandung which carries out the online learning. The implementation of Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) is a new thing for most schools so there are challenges that need to be overcome. One of the media commonly used in this school is Zoom Meeting. This study discusses the activeness of students in online history learning through Zoom Meetings. The research method used is a descriptive study. The results of this study indicate that the activeness of students is influenced by various factors and each individual has a distinct factor, both from within and outside influences. The role of the teacher is also crucial in developing activeness and optimizing learning in the midst of a pandemic. The activeness of students depicted through this research included giving opinion, responding, and asking questions. However, the activeness of students in learning history using Zoom Meeting is still not optimal, so there needs to be good cooperation and coordination between teachers and students.Keywords: distance learning, history learning, the student’s activeness, zoom meetingABSTRAKPenyebaran virus Covid-19 yang menyebabkan pandemi telah mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan termasuk dunia pendidikan. Melalui Surat Edaran Nomor 4 Tahun 2020, Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan tentang pelaksanaan kebijakan pendidikan dalam masa darurat penyebaran corona virus disease (Covid-19). Mengharuskan seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring atau lebih dikenal sebagai Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ). Tidak terkecuali bagi SMA Negeri 7 Bandung yang melaksanakan pembelajaran daring tersebut. Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) ini merupakan hal yang baru bagi sebagian besar sekolah sehingga terdapat tantangan yang perlu untuk diatasi. Adapun salah satu media yang biasa digunakan di sekolah ini adalah Zoom Meeting. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sejarah daring melalui Zoom Meeting. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keaktifan peserta didik dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor dan setiap individu memiliki faktor yang berbeda, baik dari dalam diri pribadi maupun pengaruh dari luar. Peran guru juga menjadi hal yang krusial dalam mengembangkan keaktifan dan mengoptimalkan pembelajaran di tengah pandemi. Keaktifan peserta didik yang tergambar melalui penelitian ini di antaranya adalah berpendapat, menanggapi, dan bertanya. Namun, keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sejarah melalui Zoom Meeting ini masih belum optimal sehingga perlu ada kerja sama dan koordinasi yang baik antara guru dengan peserta didik.Kata Kunci: pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ), pembelajaran sejarah, keaktifan peserta didik, dan zoom meeting.
