Factum: Jurnal Sejarah dan Pendidikan Sejarah promotes research in the broad field of history and Education with particular respect to Indonesia, but not limited to authorship or topical coverage within the region. Contributions are expected from historian, educator, teacher, senior researchers, project managers, research administrators and PhD students at advanced stages of their research, representing both public organizations and private industry. Equally, the journal if intended for scholars and students, reseachers working at research organizations and government agencies, and also for enterprises undertaking applied R&D to lead innovations. The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include: Theoretical articles Empirical studies Practice-oriented papers Case studies Review of papers, books, and resources. As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style. The below mentioned areas are just indicative. The editorial board also welcomes innovative articles that redefine any history and history education field. Abstract

This research is motivated by the complexity found by researchers in class XI IPS 2 of SMAN 7 Bandung, namely the ability of historical imagination that is low in students' ability to learn history. While this ability is important to help students imagine in reconstructing and explaining historical stories. The main objective of this research is to improve the ability of students' historical imagination in learning history. Indicators developed in this study are the results of research researchers who discuss about experts, namely the discussion of the idea of a chain script, the product of a serial story script, the discussion of the packaging of a serial script, and the making of storytelling. This class action research was carried out for two cycles where one cycle contained three actions using the Ebbut model which consisted of discussions about focus and initial planning (plan), action implementation (observation), observation (observation), implementation of the research process (reconnaissance), and reflection (reflection). The results showed an increase in the imagination of history in each cycle after applying the method of storytelling in learning history. This can be seen from the increase in the achievement of values in each indicator. Based on these data it can be concluded that the application of storytelling method can be an alternative to improve the ability of students' historical imagination in learning history at SMAN 7 Bandung.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the pattern of teacher education during the Dutch Colonial period, which was adapted to the colonial education system. This research uses historical methods with heuristic steps (source search), source verification (internal and external criticism), interpretation, and historiography. The sources used are archives from ANRI (National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia), the KTLV Library, and the National Library. Apart from that, the primary source used is Algemeen Verslag van het Inlandsch Onderwijs in Nederlandsch-Indiё Loopende over de Jaren 1893 t/m 4. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Dutch East Indies government established many schools that needed skilled teaching staff. Kweekschool was founded to meet the needs of native teachers for existing schools at that time. Apart from teacher education called kweekschool, there are also other teacher schools such as Hogere Kweekschool (HKS), Hollands Inlandsche Kweekschool (HIK), Hollands Chinese Kweekschool (HCK), and Hoofdakte Course. In 1907, the teacher education program was extended from four to six years, and the Dutch began establishing advanced teacher schools, Hoogere Kweekschool (HKS) in 1914 in Bandung and Purworejo.

Abstract

Digital literacy skills significantly assist students in searching for and utilizing historical information on the internet. The research objective is to identify the differences in the influence of implementing an e-magazine based on the Book Creator application on students' digital literacy abilities in history learning between the experimental and control groups. This study employs a quasi-experimental method in the form of Nonequivalent Group Pretest Posttest Design. The testing results indicate a difference in the influence on students' digital literacy abilities in history learning between the experimental and control groups. The results also demonstrate that the majority of students' digital literacy abilities in history learning fall into the high category. This article is expected to provide benefits to relevant parties including teachers, schools, and future researchers.

Abstract

The agrarian conflicts on government-owned land on the outskirts of Irigasi St., Sungai Paring, Martapura, involve many parties. At least three parties were involved in this conflict: small traders, landowners, and the Banjar Regency government. This research describes the background, resolution, and impact of conflicts between landowners and small traders. This research uses qualitative methods, which are described descriptively. The research results show that the conflict started with landowners who felt disturbed by the establishment of small traders’ stalls that covered fish ponds and sports fields. Apart from that, this land is used as a residence, producing household waste, which causes an unpleasant odor. The conflict resolution is carried out outside the court (non-litigation) by negotiating between land owners and small traders who do not find an agreement so that it continues through conciliation. The small trader asked for help from a lawyer for the defense, saying that the warning letter given by the Banjar Regency’s civil service police unit was not following the applicable laws and regulations. Given the case, there are positive and negative impacts. The positive impact is to build public awareness that government-owned land should not be misused for personal interests. Meanwhile, the negative impact of social relations between landlords, small traders, and stall owners becomes less good.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has an impact on education, such as in the implementation of learning in schools. This is evidenced by the existence of E-learning SMANPAR as one of the outcomes of utilizing technology in education. E-learning SMANPAR offers features that support history learning. The conclusion of this research is that the presence of E-learning SMANPAR makes history learning more effective, provides diverse material presentation for students, and offers practical learning management for teachers. This is part of the innovation in history education through the utilization of technology to create engaging, relevant, and effective history learning for students, as well as presenting history materials in a more interactive format. For teachers, it makes learning management from planning, execution, to assessment more organized, efficient, and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the Islamic education in the era of Sultan Muhammad Mulia Ibrahim Tsafiuddin in 1931-1943, the influences of the Netherlands on the education in Sambas while the government of Sultan Muhammad Mulia Ibrahim Tsafiuddin in 1931-1943, and the system of education Madrasah Al-Sultaniyah. The method of this research is historical research. The descriptive-analytic research methods include four stages: heuristic, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results of this research show that Islamic education in the era of Sultan Muhammad Mulia Ibrahim Tsafiuddin is the continuation of the education of Madrasah Al-Sultaniyah with the orientation in the education of religion and development to be Tarbiyatul Islam. Islamic education in Sambas gained influences from the Netherlands, and we can see from Tarbiyatul that Islam included all of the studied from Holland Inlandsche School (HIS) in their curriculum. Modern science, especially the Dutch language in Tarbiyatul Islam, is seen as a tool for gaining significant progress. The formal education system in Sambas through Madrasah Al-Sultaniyah or Tarbiyatul Islam combines Islamic education and Dutch education.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi pada saat ini membawa pengaruh positif terhadap dunia pendidikan. Dunia pendidikan membutuhkan inovasi dalam pembelajaran, inovasi tersebut disesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman serta tuntutan kebutuhan peserta didik. Media pembelajaran digital berbasis android merupakan inovasi dalam media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengembangan media pembelajaran digital nilai-nilai sejarah candi Bumi Ayu berbasis android. Manfaat penelitian bagi siswa dapat membrikan alternatif pembelajaran sejarah, sehingga dapat mengakses pembelajaran kapanpun dan dimanapun dan bagi guru dapat memberikan pemahaman dan menambah wawasan teknologi alternatif media pembelajaran yang menarik dan bermnfaat bagi kegiatan pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (RD). Metode RD adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji keefektifan produk tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian pengujian media pembelajaran dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dikategorikan layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah dalam proses belajar mengajar, berdasarkan hasil uji coba mendapatkan nilai rata-rata keseluruhan skor dari ketiga validator, yaitu ahli media mendapatkan penilaian 87%, ahli materi 88%, validasi oleh guru sejarah sebagai ahli media yaitu 80% dan ahli materi 80%, serta uji coba siswa mendapatkan perolehan 85%, dari hasil tersebut menunjukan media yang dikembangkan mendapat respon yang sangat baik serta layak untuk gunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

Penggunaan model pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah selama ini masih banyak menggunakan model pembelajaran yang konvensional. Hal ini menyebabkan minimnya motivasi belajar sejarah siswa dan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa yang masih kurang, sehingga memerlukan perbaikan dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran yang lebih bervariatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil belajar sejarah siswa  dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) di kelas XI IPS 3 SMAN 1 Subang. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) dengan media video animasi dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar sejarah pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Subang. Dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil rata-rata dan presentase hasil belajar klasikal pada siswa yang diperoleh dari data angket, dimana hasil uji paired samples T test (uji-T) dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS menunjukan bahwa nilai sig. 0,001 0,05

Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “Problematika Guru Dalam Pengelolaan Pembelajaran Sejarah Daring (Studi Deskriptif di SMA Negeri 3 Cirebon)”. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh temuan peneliti di lokasi penelitian, yaitu SMA Negeri 3 Cirebon yang menunjukan bahwa dalam proses pengelolaan pembelajaran sejarah secara daring, guru menemukan banyak problematika baru yang sebelumnya tidak ditemukan selama proses pengelolaan pembelajaran daring.. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini peneliti mengkaji tentang problematika guru dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran sejarah daring dengan rumusan masalah utama “problematika apa saja yang dihadapi oleh guru sejarah dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran sejarah daring?” Penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi terkait pengelolaan pembelajaran sejarah daring dan problematika yang ditemukan dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran sejarah daring. Termasuk di dalamnya dijelaskan pula upaya dalam mengatasi problematika-problematika yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan jika terdapat berbagai macam problematika yang harus dihadapi oleh guru pada semua proses dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran. Semua problematika yang muncul dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran sejarah daring ini cukup menghambat proses pembelajaran sehingga pembelajaran sejarah daring tidak dapat berjalan dengan optimal.
