Abstract

This article discusses a sequence of events showing the resistance of the people of Papua since 1945 until 1965. This resistance was conducted by the movement figures of Papua who were aggressively struggling for the independence of Indonesia or claiming the independence for the land of Papua. This Movement was conducted in various areas with different resistance targets and forms.

Abstract

This study was aimed at gaining a comprehensive overview of the influence of hypertext-based history teaching method towards the increase of historical concept understanding. The method used in the study was experimental method, i.e. through non – equivalent control group design (pre-test and post-test). Some points were concluded from the data collected within the study. First, the implemented hypertext-based history teaching model had affected learning activities to focus more on mental activities (thinking process). The whole teaching learning activities benefitted the students a wide chance to study, observe, compose, deliver the questions, answer them, consider others’ view, discuss questions by relating them with textual concepts, and make conclusion together. Second, the hypertext-based history teaching model test showed was proved to that the influence the increase of historical concept mastery was increased by n gain of 0.5 at the experimental class, 0.4 at the control class, with significance value of 0.00 and α = 0.05

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah 1) untuk mendeskripsikan dinamika perumusan Pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar alenia ketiga pada tanggal 18 Agustus 1945, dan 2) untuk mendeskripsikan dinamika rumusan Pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar alenia ketiga dari Republik Indonesia Serikat sampai Dekrit Presiden 5 Juli 1959. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah metode penulisan sejarah. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pada tanggal 18 Agustus 1945, atas usulan Mr. I Gusti Ketut Pudja Pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 alenia ketiga yang berbunyi “Atas berkat Rahmat Allah…” telah diganti dengan “Atas berkat Rahmat Tuhan…”. Usulan tersebut juga tidak mendapatkan penolakan dari peserta sidang PPKI lainnya, sehingga Sukarno akhirnya mengesahkan Pembukaan tersebut di atas dengan persetujuan seluruh anggota sidang PPKI. Akan tetapi justru dalam Berita Republik Indonesia Tahun II No. 7 tanggal 15 Februari 1946 perubahan itu belum dilakukan. Oleh sebab itu, agar generasi selanjutnya tidak terkontaminasi oleh penyakit amnesia yang diderita pendahulunya, maka sudah seyogyanya Pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar alenia ketiga harus segara dirubah menjadi “Atas berkat Rahmat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa”.

Abstract

The distinctive mark of maritime nation is the greatness in sailing and building the maritime civilization. The creativity and innovative through the perseverance, are the attached characters in the behavior of maritime nation. From the track record, the people who live in this archipelago have shown their ability as maritime nation in opening the new rooms for life that have global nature and developing the maritime culture. The globalization in history of civilization occurred in the regions which connected by the peoples of Austronesia/Malay/Indonesia through the ocean. The exploration ability lies on this archipelago. A lot of people count on their life on the sea. The character components of nation maritime in this Archipelago are indicated with the openness, tolerant, and adaptive in accepting and responding the global challenge. The numerous metaphors of archipelago people relates with the sea. The strong maritime nation should also be able to build the great maritime state.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya pengajaran sejarah lokal di sekolah-sekolah yang dikembangkan. Belajar sejarah atau kejadian lokal masih dirasakan sebagai beban oleh para guru. Penyebabnya adalah kurangnya guru kreatif dalam mengembangkan materi sejarah, mereka berfokus pada materi yang tercantum dalam silabus sejarah pengajaran dan minimal atau tidak ada sumber sejarah lokal yang dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai bahan ajar di sekolah. Makalah ini berfokus pada urgensi belajar sejarah lokal, yang terintegrasi dengan pengajaran sejarah di Indonesia. Lebih banyak penelitian dilakukan secara khusus terhadap karakter dan peristiwa yang terjadi di wilayah Tasikmalaya. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menunjukkan bahwa di Tasikmalaya harus ada banyak karakter dan acara lokal yang harus mendapat perhatian serius dari semua pihak untuk dikembangkan dalam pengajaran sejarah di sekolah. Hal ini sangat penting mengingat pengembangan karakter harus dimulai dari kesadaran akan identitas mereka sebagai bagian dari sejarah Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, perkembangan sejarah lokal merupakan bagian dari pengembangan identitas sebagai bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis wacana keasadaran berorganisasi dalam buku teks pelajaran sejarah Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Buku teks pelajaran sejarah merupakan salah satu media terpenting dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah dikelas yang dijadikan buku wajib sebagai bagian dari tujuan pendidikan. Materi yang diuraikan dalam buku teks berkaitan dengan kurikulum yang disusun adalah mengenai memberi motivasi terhadap generasi muda untuk memiliki kesadaran berorganisasi, ditengah kondisi kehidupan generasi muda yang sudah individualis dan apatis terhadap nilai-nilai semangat keorganisasian. Nilai semangat keorganisasian yang hendak disampaikan dalam perjuangan di masa pergerakan. Generasi muda harus aktif berorganisasi untuk menempa diri dan menemukan Identitas nasional mereka sebagai generasi bangsa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis wacana kritis yang dikembangkan oleh Van Dijk untuk mengetahui wacana tentang semangat kesadaran berorganisasi pada buku teks pelajaran sejarah. Adapun hasil penetian yang dikembangkan ditinjau melalui beberapa elemen dalam wacana kritis Van Dijk antara lain melalui tematik, skematik, smantik, sintaksis, stilistik, dan retoris.

Abstract

We are still reminding that the long-term multidimensional crisis, the peak moment was in 1997-2000, was the worst experience in term of politic, economy, and law crisis after the Indonesia independence.The crisis may refer to a state-nation in turbulence (chaos) which many observers called as “A Country in Despair”, a country that is not only experiencing a disaster but also drowned in a deep despair. Indonesia’s multidimensional crisis had opened all the “masks”, to its most hidden parts.This multidimensional crisis- in despair, emotionally, and sinically- had showed Indonesia as "a heap of delusions", no more nationalism, heroism, justice, unity, honesty, or proud. Abstract

In this article, subject-matter of history at the junior and senior high schools as well (SMP and SMA) on Islamic Sultanates in the Nusantara region “is deconstructed” from the “history of wars” to become Islamic history which is now relevant to the contemporary social issues faced by the Muslim ummah in Indonesia. Common issues such as poverty, ummah enforcement, working ethos, entrepreneurship, social networking (silaturahim) and the commemoration of the glorious grandeur of the past maritime world of the Sultanates, are all historic issues which are still problems faced by the Muslim ummah and, are more interesting as foci of inquiry in the learning process of history class. Deconstruction of war history in history pedagogy is necessary and in accordance with contextual approach and, at the same time as a response to the accusation that Islam is identical with violence and terrorism. Deconstruction in history pedagogy is to build a new image on Islamic history which. It is very important for the Islamic ummah to response all kinds of challenges which they confront at this time. In this article the notion of deconstruction is carried out on conventional history which stresses too much on progress account experienced by the Sultanates in the Nusantara, including wars which becomes problematic topic and contextual with the real life of the students. The results of deconstruction will be constructed by using interrelated construction of topics, concepts, emancipator questions, and associate to contemporary social problems which are faced by the Muslims.

Abstract

European and Asian developed countries consider History as the main subject in elementary and high schools curriculum, which is professionally reinforced in higher education. This consideration is intended to ensure that people respect leader and community contribution to maintain and develop excellences of civilization in this country. One way or another, the position of some social science subjects, including history, in today’s education system are more challenged by foremost priority over sophisticated physical technology. Although it is considered as a central subject to take by high school students, its position will become vulnerable with loads of critics directed by those involved in the learning and teaching process, i.e. the students. Therefore, this paper focuses on discussion about the implementation of learning and teaching process of history from the aspects of philosophy, objectivity, the excellence of ’little historian’, principles, values and citizenship. Moreover, this paper presents the results of brief analysis towards Form Four and Form Five students in Gombak and Rawang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is expected that the presentation of this paper will produce an outcome in the objectivity of integrated, quality and professional curriculum of history, especially to develop a country in this globalization era on the basis of creativity and innovation of historical education.
