Abstract

This research and development has two objectives, namely to produce teaching materials and test the effectiveness of teaching materials. The development model used is 4-D. The stages of 4-D development consist of (1) define (determination), (2) design (design), (3) development (development), (4) disseminate (dissemination). The results of validation tests conducted by instructional materials experts, learning experts, and practitioners stated that the teaching materials for writing procedure texts using the RAFT strategy are feasible to implement. The effective test results state that the data obtained from field tests are normally distributed, namely> 0.05. The significance obtained is <0.05. This means that teaching materials are effectively used in learning.

Abstract

The research objectives are (1) describing the mistakes made by students in simplifying fractions of algebraic forms and (2) describing the scaffolding given to overcome student errors. The subjects in this study were UM Lab High School students in the XI IPS class who made mistakes in completing the test. The research subjects studied were 2 students categorized in the low ability category. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data obtained through tests and interviews. The results showed that (1) the mistakes made by students in simplifying the algebraic fractions consisted of errors in denominator equations, errors in algebraic operations, errors in algebraic factoring and errors in simplified algebraic fractions and (2) scaffolding given based on errors in point one is explaining, reviewing and restructuring and developing conceptual thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) significant influence of students learning motivation with Basic Programming learning outcomes, (2) significant effect of students computer self-efficacy with Basic Programming learning outcomes, (3) Significant differences in Basic Programming learning outcomes between groups of students who are taught with a web centric course are equipped with modules with groups of students who are taught with conventional models with modules. This study employed Nonequievalent Control Group Design with the consideration that the choosing of experimental and control group could not be determined by individual random sampling but it was done through assignment random sampling to the ten graders of software engineering department. Test instrument was used to measure computer self-efficacy and students’ motivation. The data analysis techniques used oneway covariance analysis with two covariates. The results of the study revealed: (1) there is no significant effect of students' learning motivation with Basic Programming learning result, this means less learning motivation in determining the role of treatment and improvement of learning outcomes, (2) there is a significant influence of Self Efficacy Computer students with Basic Programming learning outcomes, and (3) there is a significant difference in Basic Programming learning outcomes between groups of students taught with web centric courses equipped with modules with groups of students taught with conventional learning models equipped with modules.

Abstract

This study aim is to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on geography learning outcomes. This study design was survey design. This study was divided into four stages those were the preparation stage, the implementation phase, the data processing stage, and the reporting stage. The subjects in this study was students from XII IPS I, XII IPS II, XII IPS III, XII IPS IV and XII IPS V. The data was collected in form of quantitative. There was two kinds of data that presented in this study, data obtained from teachers (personal documents), and data obtained from questionnaires. The results of the t test analysis are smaller than the 0.05 significance level. Therefore it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between emotional intelligence and the learning outcomes of geography. Emotional intelligence has an effect on learning outcomes of 35.7% and the remaining 64.3% is not examined by researchers since those come from another variable. The researcher expects that further research can combine or find other variables that can influence the learning outcomes of geography.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: The Effectiveness of the Blended Learning Learning Model to improve geography learning outcomes in lithosphere class X SMA material. This research is an experimental research. The research design used was the Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The results showed that the Blended Learning Learning Model approach was more effective than conventional methods. This is evidenced by testing the hypothesis obtained p value of 0,000, which means the results of significance at α <0.05. Geography learning results using the Blended Learning Learning Model are higher than using the lecture method. The average pre-test and post-test values of the experimental class increased by 12.70, while the mean increase in the control class pre-test and post-test values was 1.50. The increase in the mean of the higher experimental class proves that the results of geography learning on lithospheric material using the Blended Learning Learning Model are better than the lecture method.
