Abstract

Decaying process of organic garbages causes  environment quality decreasing. The technology is needed for organic garbage management in order to avoid environment pollution.  The teachers have a strategic role in dissemination of knowledge and technology to the students and the society. The problems were how to increase knowledge of the teachers about organic garbage management, especially organic school garbage management, and how to develop the competency of the biology teachers in composing of biology lessoning media based on computer about natural method of organic school garbage treatment. Some activities held to solve the problems were:  interactive speech about garbage and environment problems caused by garbages, practice of organic  garbage  composting,  and  practice  of  composing  of  biology lessoning media based on computer about natural method of organic school garbage treatment. The activities were success to increase knowledge and skill of the biology teachers   in organic garbage management, which of the post-test scores were higher then the pre-test scores. According to the result of the evaluation, the CDs of lessoning media made by the teachers were suitable to the basic competency " making recycled products from garbages", but the CDs of lessoning media were not interactive yet

Abstract

Yoghurt making class is expected to increase the income of the people and the dairy farmers in the village of Gading, Glagaharjo, Cangkringan Sleman,YogyakartaaftertheMerapivolcanoeruption.Theactivitiesconsistof(1)surveytherealconditionofdairyfarms and the farmers in the Village Gading,Glagaharjo, Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta which was conducted on June 5,2014; (2) the TOT (Training of Trainers) for students who will assist in theyoghurt making class held on 26-28 June 2014, at Microbiology Laboratory,Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University; and(3) training on yoghurt making to the target community that was PKK Arimbiheld on 20-21 July 2014. The participants were 25 members of the PKK. Theconclusion is that the training went well as it was planned, the participants succeededin making yoghurt with various flavors, and also designing a businessplan. The members of this community are very interested in developing a yoghurtbusinesssinceitisprospective.Inaddition,thepeopleneedassistanceforthepackagingand marketing of their products. For further program if it is possible,participants suggested that there is a training on the diversification ofmilk and yoghurt products which can be marketed as food gift from Merapitourist areas

Abstract

The aim of providing training to be able to implement Javanese script asbatik motif on mori material that can be read and written in the right way. Inaddition, to provide training to be able to use Javanese script as the batik motifon mori material in better designs to attract buyers.This activity was applied in the form of training and mentoring. The firstmaterial given in the training is the introduction of batik. The second material isaround the Javanese script and grammar. Mentoring was performed to determinethe success level of the training of Javanese script writing, designing, andcoloring. Mentoring activities is important and needs to be done to anticipatewriting errors and colouring mismatches.This resulted four different forms of written batik. Those areas follow:(1) hem pattern materials, Javanese script writing, is legible and was writtencorrectly according to the rules of Javanese script writing; (2) extended was writtencorrectly according to the rules of Javanese script writing; (3) extended tablecloths,the words on it was written correctly according to the rules of Javanesescript writing; and (4) extended scarf with Javanese script. In terms of coloring,it was already good, meaning that the results of the four pieces of batik arewell-done.

Abstract

The objectives  of  this  program  :  (l)To     provide  the  knowledge,  skill  and experience in the tourism business, theoritically and practically; (2) To provide knC}'."fl~ggesk, ill  and  practice  to  the  studens  about  the  Indonesian  Culture  Historry Tourism; (3) To push ahead and to motive the students to be a new businessmen m the field of tourism; (4) To create the partnership between University with the middle and small business, especially business in the field of.the tourism, (5) To push the acceleation of the Indonesian Economic Recovery through developing the new businessmen, and (6) This program is expected to  be embryo for the' birth of study pro~ram of tourisn  in Yogyakarta State University. As for target of the aoutput of the activity of apprentice to business in filed of tourism as the following: (1) Minimally %0 % from the participants of appretice will be ready to be a new businessmen in thefield tourism service, especially management and torism amnagning, touris guide, journey tourism guide, avalilabillity for Inodnonesian history arid culture tourism package; (2) Minimally 50 % from the partisipants  of apprentice will be ready to prudoce the proposal of e new businessmen in the filed tourism, especially manageme~t for. tourism managening, t<?ursmguide, journey tounsm  guide, availability of   Indonesian histony  and culutre tounsm  packade. (#) To create partnership between University with small and midle business, especially business in the filed of tourism; (4).  Apprentice participants and guidance lekturer can increase their knowledge and skill, especially work skill and practical knowledge. While the side of partner can increase management and marketing.The pattern of apprentice program realization is brougtht aout the following : selecting the participants, providing, transferring the knowledge skill and experience from tourism industry service to the  apprentice and apprentice participant  students making proposal for building a new business in the field of tourism, both for domestic tourst service and a foreign tourist  service. This new business can be pioneered in business service.  For the first stage they can cooperate with the side of the pertnerts who are in Yogyakarta or the other,place ..'            The apprentice program realization which as gone on for ane month, is followed11 students.   There' isno significant obstacle for the apprentice realization in the field. From the 11 apprentice participants, there are 4 student who have the best achievement and then have being taken as a freelance personnel by the partner side.  For next plan the team of apprentice is expected to be able to open the tour and travel bussines in thecampus, and as the  first  step,  it  is included in INWUB program  which has  been in presence.Key words    :  apprentice, and enterpreneurship

Abstract

The activity "Optimizing of The Beauty of Herbs" is aimed: (1) toimprove an understanding of the understanding of farmer group membersand efficacy of herbs scientifically; (2) to improve the creativity of membersof farmer groups on how the processing of various herbal products, (3)toimprove awareness of farmer group members to be independent andmaintain the food security.Objects of study are 45 member of farmer group " Sumber KaryaBoga " in Padukuhan Pondok, Condong Catur. The methods are used insolving the problem include: lecture, workshop and practice. Stages include:the preparation stage, the introduction stage, the creative production stage,development stage and evaluation stage. Data obtained using a questionnaireabout herbs and their understanding of the sources of information, selfsufficiency,food security, entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of thebusiness plan .Results indicate that most participants have an understanding ofherbs and their properties well. Participants also gain the skills to processherbs into various food products . The independence of most participantshas reached "Good" category. For food security and entrepreneurial spiritobtained information that most participants have food security in thecategory "Good". But only few of them know about farming business plan.This suggests that they have not yet fully understand about the formulationof business plan.Keywords: the beauty of herb, food security, and enterpreneurship

Abstract

Outcomes HW TRANS community empowerment through mentoring KKN-PPM include: 1) The ability of the knowledge and skills of students in the introduction of technology venture production of traditional food preparations; 2) Increasing the number and quality of production; 3) Legality higinies packaging and labeling, and PRT efficient; 4). The expansion of marketing efforts at HW Trans zone; 5). Increased revenue HW Trans business owners; 6). The formation of communities and industrial centers HW Trans mapping; 7) The pattern of mentoring and coaching program KKN PPM students; and 8) Form synergy of cooperation and partnership between the universities and the government. KKN-PPM is carried out for 3 months followed by 20 students of the faculty of Mathematics Physics and mathematics courses are concentrated in the hamlet RT 03 / RW 023 Jl. Suka Damai Jaya Rasau Jaya spread over 10 business owners HW each 2 students accompanied by three lecturers field. KKN PPM is done with the preparation, implementation and evaluation, and continued kontuinitas program. KKN PPM has started with site surveys KKN-PPM, working together with the HW TRANS, recruiting students to choose the time and place of execution, giving knowledge. Activities undertaken during the KKN PPM students include: 1) Mentoring production management, financial management, human resource management, business legality, and marketing management.; 2) Engaging in the process of production to marketing business owners HW Trans; 3) Making the signpost the name of the business owner; 4) The product showcase business owners; 5) counseling; and 6) Assistance kemasyarakatan.Evaluasi implementation of social activities conducted by Team KKN-PPM, Chairman HW Trans, and the KKN PPM LPPKM.Kegiatan is running smoothly and orderly due to: 1) be held on the college student holiday; 2) received a positive response from the community Rasau Jaya especially business owners who are members of the Trans HW; 3) the moral support of the Institute for Research and Community Services Universitas Tanjungpura; and 4) The intensity of assistance from the supervisor field

Abstract

Program Ipteks bagi Wilayah (IbW) di kecamatan Pakis bertujuan untuk membantu program pengentasan kemiskinan di kecamatan Pakis, Magelang.  Kegiatan dilaksanakan di 3 Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di lokasi IbW Kecamatan Pakis yaitu KWT Ngudi Arum, Ketundan, KWT Mekarsari, Nglarangan dan KWT Larasati, Dayugo Banyusidi. Melalui model "Babonisasi" ayam kampung dengan sistem bergulir bagi RTM (Rumah Tangga Miskin) ternyata mampu meningkatkan pendapatan per tahun.  Melalui model guliran indukan dengan kesepakatan pengembalian 2 ekor indukan dalam satu tahun pemeliharaan ternyata akan menguntungkan semua pihak.  Pengelolaan,  aturan perguliran dan administrasi dikerjakan oleh pengusus dari KWT sebagai organisasi penyangganya.  Model "Babonisasi" ini  akan menghasilkan dua keuntungan sekaligus yaitu peningkatan pendapatan RTM sekaligus organisasi sosial penyangganya.  Disimpulkan bahwa model "Babonisasi" ayam kampung bagi Rumah Tangga Miskin akan sangat membantu peningkatan pendapatan dan penyehatan organisasi di desa-desa dengan tingkat kemiskinan yang tinggi.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity are: (1) to develop a more varieddesigns; (2) develop the capability of finishing techniques; (3) improvementof production management and expand the marketing network. The methodused in this service activity is socialization, training, and mentoring.Through the dedication program has generated forms are more varied guitarproducts. Crafters are able develop designs shapes and finishing with aclassic decorative motifs and abstract. Through the application of finishingtechniques using decorative motifs, crafters also has produced guitars thatare visually more appealing. Efforts to expand the marketing networkcrafting guitars through a media campaign web blog.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is diversification of local fruit processed products, so that seasonal fruit can be consumed out of season in processed form. The group involved in this activity is Calikng Raya Jaya Farmers Group which is a local fruit processors and catholic women group which is a product marketers. The main training methods provided are fruit sorting techniques, fruit storage, and vacuum frying process. Also jelly sweets making process, product quality measurement, and product packaging. Product quality characteristics measured on chips are texture and also calories as nutritional information on the packaging label, while for jelly sweets are the water content. The results showed that fruit chips and jelly sweets can be used as alternatives products that have long shelf life. Processed fruit chips and jelly sweets can be used as alternative processed food that has potential as a source of income in Lingga Village, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province

Abstract

Karangmalang merupakan salah satu padukuhan yang terletak di Desa Caturtungal, Kecamatan Depok, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kondisi permukiman di pedukuhan ini warga sangat padat. Banyak didirikan rumah, perumahan, hotel, dan kost yang mayoritas dikelola oleh ibu-ibu ibu rumah tangga. Selain itu, pedukuhan ini berada di lingkungan universitas, sehingga banyak mahasiswa yang tinggal disana. Hal ini menjadikan masyarakat mengalami keterbatasan lahan.Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan  adalah dengan bercocoktanam hidroponik. Hidroponik adalah system menanam dengan media air, berbeda dengan system biasa yaitu dengan media tanah. Sistem hidroponik sederhana yang ditawarkan adalah dengan menggunakan baskom sebagai tempat air dan tanaman yang dibudidaya. Program penan aman dengan hidroponik baskom ini dinamakan Poni Batho (Hydroponic Basin Method). Poni Batho merupakan salah satu program untuk ibu rumah tangga yang bertujuan dapat memproduksi sayur secara mandiri sehingga dapat meningkatkan konsumsi sayur di daerah permukiman padat penduduk.Program Poni Batho terdiri dari beberapa kegiatan yaitu Sosialisasi Program, Pelatihan Pembibitan, Pendampingan  pemindahan bibit siap Tanam, Pendampingan Perawatan Tanaman, dan Evaluasi dan Keberlanjutan Program. Hasil program ini ibu-ibu dapat memproduksi sayur mandiri di lahan terbatas, menghemat pengeluaran, dan menambah pemasukan dengan penjualan sayur.
