This research is a continuation of the first-year research resulting from an analysis of the needs, design, and develop teaching materials in the form of draft modules. The research then continued with the second-year research aimed at (1) describing the quality of teaching materials for maos (reading) the script of Jawi carik sekar in accordance to the expert judgment, (2) describing the test results of teaching materials for maos (reading) lectures of the script of Jawi carik sekar, (3) describing the final product of teaching materials for maos the script of Jawi carik sekar. It is the implementation of the ADDIE model for research and development (Dick & Carry). The media development procedures in the first year include analysis, design, and development with the initial product in the form of draft modules. The media development procedures in the second year include implementation and evaluation. The validation of modules was conducted by experts in teaching materials and media. The average rating from materials experts was 88.8% and from the media experts was 95.2%. The assessment by both experts falls within the criteria of praiseworthy. Modules are tested in a small class of 15 students of semester 4 during Maos (reading) lectures of the script of Jawi Carik Sekar. The average score of studentsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ opinion on the developed module was 80.1% with the criteria of very respectable.

Moral Teaching Orientation in Kridhasastra Fiber by Mas Ngabei Mangunwijaya Hesti Mulyani

This study was aimed at describing and analyzing the moral teaching values in Kridhasastra Fiber by Mas Ngabei Mangunwijaya. The method used was descriptive-analytical and modern philology approaches. Modern philology approach was used to analyze manuscripts and text on Kridhasastra Fiber based on the steps of philological research work. Descriptions are carried out to raise the values contained in the text which become research data and research data analysis. The results of the study and discussion show that the moral teaching values contained in the Kridhasastra Fiber text contained four things. They are related to the element of human occurrence, namely, the conception of God and Manunggaling Kawula-Gusti, divinity (Allah) and His creation, the personality of the wise and noble/main person. In the text of the Kridhasastra Fiber, it is explained that as God’s creation, human beings have an obligation, which is always to remember their identity as creatures who must always carry out their obligations as best they can. Humans also must always do good. Humans should always strive throughout their lives to achieve and maintain the safety of their soul and body and live their lives by always prioritizing good character, utilizing their intelligence in a calculated and positive manner.Orientasi Nilai Ajaran Moral dalam Serat Kridhasastra Karya Mas Ngabei MangunwijayaPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai ajaran moral dalam Serat Kridhasastra Karya Mas Ngabei Mangunwijaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dan pendekatan filologi modern. pendekatan filologi modern digunakan untuk menganalisis naskah dan teks Serat Kridhasastra berdasarkan langkah kerja penelitian filologi. Deskripsi dilakukan untuk mengangkat nilai-nilai yang dimuat dalam teks yang menjadi data penelitian dan analisis data penelitian. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa nilai ajaran moral yang dimuat di dalam naskah Serat Kridhasastra terdapat empat hal yang terkait dengan unsur terjadinya manusia yakni, konsepsi tentang Tuhan dan Manunggaling Kawula-Gusti, ketuhanan (Allah) dan ciptaan-Nya, kepribadian orang yang bijaksana dan orang yang luhur/utama. Dalam teks Serat Kridhasastra diuraikan bahwa sebagai ciptaan Tuhan, manusia mempunyai kewajiban, yaitu senantiasa ingat akan jati dirinya sebagai makhluk yang harus senantiasa melaksanakan kewajibannya sebaik mungkin. Manusia juga harus senantiasa berbuat kebajikan. Manusia hendaknya manusia selalu mengusahakan terus sepanjang hidupnya untuk mencapai dan menjaga keselamatan jiwa dan raga dan menjalani kehidupannya dengan senantiasa mengu-tamakan watak baik, memanfaatkan kepandaiannya dengan penuh perhitungan dan positif.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tumbuhan herbal yang dimanfaatkan sebagai pengobatan tradisional terhadap penyakit dalam manuskrip Jawa, yakni Serat Primbon Jampi Jawi Jilid I (SPJJ I) koleksi Reksapustaka Mangkunegaran Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dengan pendekatan ilologi modern. Pendekatan ilologi modern digunakan untuk membedah manuskrip SPJJ I. Deskripsi dilakukan untuk tumbuhan herbal yang bermanfaat sebagai pengobatan tradisional terhadap penyakit dan analisis kandungan beserta khasiatnya. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa tumbuhan herbal yang ditemukan terdiri atas akar, rimpang, umbi, kulit kayu, batang, daun, bunga, buah, dan biji. Di samping itu, juga ditemukan bahan-bahan jamu sebagai pelengkapnya, yaitu, garam, inggu, tembakau (sata awon), air jeruk nipis, air jeruk purut, air perasan daun iler, air susu ibu, air tawar: dingin, panas, dan cuka. Cara pengolahan bahan racikan jamu, yaitu dibakar, digigit-gigit, digoreng, dihaluskan (dipipis, didheplok, digerus), dijemur, dikukus, direbus, dan direndam. AbstractThis study aims to describe Javanese traditional medical care in the Serat Primbon Jampi Jawi manuscript. It used the modern philology approach. The source of the researchdata was Serat Primbon Jampi Jawi Volume I, a collection of the Reksapustaka Library,Mangkunegaran, Surakarta. The research findings are as follows. First, Javanese traditionalmedical care is found for intestinal worms and dysentery (bloody stools). Second,the ingredients/medical prescriptions are in the form of: root (narcissus), wood/bark(sandalwood, kayu timur, and mesoyi), leaves (tamarind, lampes, and trawas), fruits (anise,chili, areca nut, and nutmeg), seeds (black cumin and coriander ), flowers (clove and apen),bulbs (garlic), and rhizomes (bengle, dlingo, and black curcuma). Other complementaryingredients are hot fresh water, salt, snakehead murrel, and starch. Third, herb/prescriptionprocessing methods include: (a) burning, (b) steaming in a rice steamer, (c) chewing, (d)smoothing, and (e) boiling. Fourth, the medical care methods include cekok (force-feeding)and sembur (spraying from the mouth for an external treatment).Keywords: traditional medical care, Javanese manuscript, cekok, sembur

Abstract: Laku in Attaining Perfection of Life According to Javanese Manuscript “Ngelmi Pangrucat”. Life tranquility is something which is always wanted by everyone. The last purpose of tranquil life achievement is to reach the perfection of life in this world and hereafter. However, not everyone is aware of behaving well to attain the life tranquility. Regarding to this, the role of ancestors’ writings in the form of Javanese manuscript is very important to deepen human understanding in achieving the perfection of life in which the contents contained remain relevant to be used as life guidance. How is laku? This article explains about manners (laku) to reach life perfection based on Javanese manuscript entitled Ngelmi Pangrucat. This study employed descriptive method by using modern philology theory approach. The result of the study is the text on Ngelmi Pangrucat manuscript with latin characters which are correct. Additionally, sentences were found containing the steps of Ngelmi Pangrucat in the form of laku in order to attain the tranquility and perfection of life on earth and hereafter.
