Abstract

In the last decade, the number of Courier Service Delivery (CSD) Providers has been increasing and growing rapidly, it certainly makes the characteristics of each providers more diverse as well. The Government who serve as assessors who are follow-up of monitoring and evaluation results, often find many problems in the selection of variables used as aspects of assessment. One important aspect in figuring out valuation is the value of customer satisfaction. This study aims to measure and evaluate the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) modification with the use of service qualities dimension or known as SERVQUAL model. Not only that, this paper also examines the influence of five dimensions on the model to the customer satisfaction using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression method. The dimensions are Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. This research was conducted on a total of 249 respondents in 6 sample providers. According to the results obtained that CSI scores in the range of 80.27 to 84.76 (good and very good) and the dimensions of service quality that significantly affect on customer satisfaction were Tangible and Responsiveness

Abstract

A common technique of vibration spectrum analysis is used for fault diagnosis of rotating machine in industry. The technique, however, requires a significant man power and has the risk of the direct measurement of vibration signal. This paper presents a remote maintenance technique based on acoustic emission of rotating machinery. The mixing matrix and the source signals are estimated using PARAFAC source separation by performing PARAFAC decomposition algorithm, permutation, and capon beamforming. This proposed technique prove the suitability and effectiveness of acoustic emission technique to diagnose Ball Pass Frequency of The Outer Race (BPFO) defect and misalignment coupling motor to pump.

Abstract

Every company has to develop their managerial capability to maximize performance of every function in order to survive in an environment with drastic changes right now. This research was conducted at two governments owned manufacturing companies to compare the differences in managerial innovation. The method to assess the managerial innovation was based on elements of management function, which are planning, organizing, leading, controlling and coordinating. There were two methods in collecting the data, using questionnaire and doing observation. Questionnaires results were calculated using BPMSG AHP online system, to determine the score. The higher score of managerial innovation, the higher potential of the company to innovate. Managerial innovation score were 42.3% and 48.9%, which showed that none of them were innovative based on the previous research standard, which stated that innovation potential should be more than 50%. The differences between the two were also analysed based on every management function.

Abstract

The movement of aircraft and passengers at Juanda international airport was increasing each year. Juanda airport airside infrastructure was almost reaching the maximum capacity. So that, PT. Angkasa Pura I as the operator of Juanda airport planned to revitalize the Juanda airport terminal that located on the south side. This terminal was not already 8 years operating. The infrastructure to be evaluated was the strength of taxiway pavement.Juanda airport taxiway pavement evaluated by using software COMFAA. Data input into the software COMFAA was the existing pavement structure and movement of the aircraft that will use the terminal that in the south side of Juanda airport. The results showed that the existing taxiway pavement structure was able to hold the load of aircraft movements over 20 years. So that, to prepare a taxiway pavement in the south side of Juanda airport, PT. Angkasa Pura I need only overlay the existing taxiway pavement.

Abstract

Lack of mass transit facilities in urban area leads motorcycle to become the most chosen vehicle mode in Indonesia. It accounts for approximately 80% of the total motorized vehicle population. Increasing in motor vehicle population causes traffic congestion and lower traffic speed, hence higher emissions that worsen urban air quality.  This paper aims to investigate relationship of vehicle travelling speeds and CO2, CO and HC emission profiles of the typical motorcycle used in Indonesia. Exhaust emissions of 20 motorcycles were tested using autocheck analyzer on idle and speed variations of, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 kph on a chassis dynamometer. For idle condition average emission rates of CO2, CO and HC were 0.16, 0.03 and 0.002 g/s, respectively. The results show that the highest CO2 and HC emissions of 82.30 g/km and 0.55 g/km, respectively, found at 10 kph. The lowest emissions were found at 60 kph speed with CO2 emission rate of 27.03 g/km and HC of 0.10 g/km. Carbon monoxide (CO) showed slightly different emission pattern, with 12.85 g/km found at 20 kph  and 4.18 g/km at 50 kph. In general, the result shows that the higher the speed the lower the CO2, CO, and HC emissions. Emission profiles indicate that the speed between 30-50 km/h could be recommended as the most suitable traffic speed in urban area to ensure mobility, safety as well as the lowest emissions. The results are valuable as input to transportation management as a part of environmentally sustainable transportation.

Abstract

In an urban environment, the growing number of elderly population increases because of the increase in life quality.  In order to face the increasing amount of elderly, the elderly needs to be empowered so they can still productive in their aging phase. This design research aims to upgrade the quality of Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) for the elderly through behavior setting of elderly by using Space Syntax. Field measurement and interview were conducted to obtain data for simulation using Depth Map analysis to predict room connection and integrity. The result highlighted that resilience design conducted through respect to the relation between the room that can lead elderly rejuvenation in tropical climate country

Abstract

In the last decades construction activity has been heavily criticized for its productivity and performance in relation to cultural differences. There have been several studies indicated that the cultural diversity influence the knowledge of the organization, and that result in barriers in knowledge sharing in the multicultural organization. The knowledge spreading manners affected by the cultural in organization due to ethnic, cities, sexual category, local culture, which that might lower level of the knowledge spreading in organization . Therefore, a research study is developed in order to assess the influences of cultural differences on the activity of knowledge distribution in organization project and to determine of extend of the cultural differences to obstacle the individual to share their knowledge within the organization or with other members of the organization and how is that leads to decrease the project’s performance. For seeking to achieve the aims of the study a survey questionnaire was used to gather data. System dynamic simulation is utilized to interpret the collected data in order to achieve meaningful information. The results proven that cultural difference is one of the major problems that impact the project performance negatively in the construction industry since it is verified that the cultural difference impacts the knowledge flow among the employees in the construction project which that strongly affects the outcome of the projects and that also leads to decrease the productivity of the project. In addition, the respondents also agree that cultural differences cause unsuccessful safety system in the construction projects. Therefore, the cultural differences should be given careful attention to ensure better project performance.

Abstract

Results of Environment agency laboratory test show the Surabaya’s clean water which still meet quality standards by the year 2008 reached 97.5% and decreased to 58.2% in 2009. Rungkut is one of the sub-districts in Surabaya where people fulfill their daily water by using well water or ground water. Nowadays, people feel their well water is not feasible in use for everyday needs anymore. This was due to the decreased quality of well water because the contamination of organic matter. These community services activities try to help Rungkut Sub-District people in meeting their water needs. Efforts will be preceded by a hearing, sampling groundwater at some point, and test the quality of the groundwater. The results of groundwater quality test obtained will be used to create a water treatment unit which can be operated simply by the community. Based on the groundwater quality test obtained, the pilot scale unit of groundwater treatment designed and installed using multiple tray aerator and carbon active filter combination. Multiple tray aerator installed for 3 steps of aeration and the carbon active filter contains 60% (volume by volume) carbon active media.

Abstract

Di zaman era globalisasi ini kesempatan terbuka lebar bagi warga negara untuk memperoleh kesempatan yang sama dalam segala bidang, baik itu kaum laki-laki maupun kaum perempuan’ Jumlah kaum perempuan khususnya di Indonesia lebih banyak daripada jumlah kaum laki-laki dari total penduduk. Dengan jumlah perempuan yang demikian besar maka potensi perempuan perlu lebih diperhatikan dan diberdayakan sebagai pelaku untuk berkonstribusi dalam pembangunan bangsa kita. Perempuan sebagai hamba Allah yang lemah, memiliki peran amat besar dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat dan bernegara. Tanpanya kehidupan tidak akan berjalan semestinya. Sebab perempuan adalah pencetak generasi baru.  Apabila di muka bumi ini hanya dihuni oleh kaum laki-laki saja kehidupan mungkin sdh terhenti beribu-ribu abad yang lalu. Oleh sebab itu, perempuan tidak bias diremehkan dan diabaikan karena dibalik semua keberhasilan dan kontinuitas kehidupan di situ ada perempuan.. Peranan perempuan dalam keluarga sangat penting.  Perempuan merupakan banteng utama dalam keluarga. Peningkatan kualitas  sumber daya manusia  dimulai dari peran perempuan dalam memberikan pendidikan kepada anaknya sebagai generasi penerus bangsa. Keluarga merupakan awal pendidikan dasar. Dengan demikian jika dikelompok terkecil (keluarga) sudah bagus nanti akan merambah ke lingkungan  masyarakat dan bangsa.

Abstract

Biogas yang diproduksi dari hasil fermentasi kotoran ternak melalui bioreactor anaerob 60%-70% berupa gas methane (CH4), sekitar 30% berupa gas CO2 dan sisanya berupa gas H2S serta gas-gas lainnya. Gas CO2 jika terbakar berdampak terhadap lingkungan (hujan asam), sedang gas H2S bersifat korosif. Sehingga biogas hasil ekstraksi kotoran ternak perlu dipurifikasi agar ramah terhadap lingkungan dan aman buat peralatan (kompor gas). Metode pemurnian mempergunakan kombinasi water scrubber dan batu gamping, hal ini dikarenakan water scrubber efektif untuk mengurangi gas H2S sedang batu gamping efektif untuk menyerap gas CO2. Metode kombinasi ini telah diterapkan untuk pemurnian biogas hasil ekstraksi biogas dari kotoran ternak di kelompok peternak sapi di Nongko Jajar, dimana warna api yang dihasilkan dari pembakaran biogas hasil purifikasi biru sedang warna api biogas yang tidak dimurnikan bercampur dengan warna merah. Disamping itu air yang keluar dari water scrubber berbau belerang dan warna batu gamping berubah menjadi kuning. Sehingga pada makalah ini dipresentasikan design pengembangan filter purifikasi biogas, dalam hal ini water tidak lagi di spray-kan akan tetapi dirubah dalam bentuk kabut untuk mengefektifkan kontak antara biogas dengan kabut. Filter batu kapur berjumlah 2 buah, akibat batu gamping akan mengalami kejenuhan setelah dipergunakan dalam interval waktu tertentu.
