Abstract

The phenomenon experienced by students is their inability to determine the parts of the term Ashabul Furudh. This material is indeed difficult to understand, in addition to the many parts that must be known, it is also necessary to understand the fraction material. This is where one of the functions of mathematics in life is included in calculating inheritance. This study aims to examine students' thinking patterns in solving faroidh problems. In this study using a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects in this study were students of Tadris Mathematics semester VI. The results of this study indicate that overall students are included in the creative category because they are able to meet the four categories of creative thinking abilities that have been determined, namely fluency, flexibility, detail, and sensitivity. The high group subjects had very good creative thinking, the medium group subjects had good creative thinking and for the lower group subjects had moderate creative thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of android-based interactive multimedia learning media in mathematics class XII SMA and to determine the feasibility of the media that had been developed. This type of research is research and development (R&D). The model used is the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE) model. Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. Learning media that has been developed using the ADDIE model based on the results of the assessment of material experts with an average value of 4.42 with a very valid category and by media experts obtaining an average value of 4 with a very valid category, the practicality of the media by students obtains results the average score of 88% with the practical category based on the large group test and the effectiveness of the media obtained an average score of 81,935 with the effective category. The development of android-based interactive multimedia learning media is declared feasible to be used in the learning process. Keyword: android, multimedia learning media, mathematics

Abstract

Interesting learning is extremely needed to motivate student participation in class. Besides increasing student participation, the existence of different learning than usual is expected to increase students understanding so that student learning outcomes also can increase. In this research, Think Pair Share learning was implemented by combining the assignment method. The objective of this research was to improve student learning outcomes through Think Pair Share learning with the assignment method on vector material. This research was a classroom action research. The data sources of this research came from the answer result of the assignment given, the result of student activity observation, and the result of student response questionnaires. This research used a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. This technique was used to describe the description of activities according to the data obtained. This research concludes that Think Pair Share learning with the assignment method is effective to be implemented in the classroom, as proven by the percentage increase from 65% to 77.5%. Students' responses also indicated a good category, which was 87.8%. The results of this research pointed out that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, which was from 64.5% to 81.2%.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study, with the aim of describing students' mathematical communication skills in solving problems using SPLDV material. The research subjects were students of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Tebelian class X IPA I which consisted of 16 students. The number of subjects in this study consisted of three students who were categorized into three levels based on the division of students' communication skills. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the level of mathematical communication skills in solving math problems with SPLDV material was as follows: high-ability subjects achieved four indicators of mathematical communication, moderately capable subjects achieved three indicators of mathematical communication, low-ability subjects only achieved one indicator of mathematical communication. Of all students who were used as research subjects, more students belonged to the category of moderate ability as evidenced by the percentage of students who were moderately capable of 56%. Based on the results of these studies, improving mathematical communication skills is very important to achieve learning objectives.

Abstract

Perkembangan penduduk yang sangat tinggi berdampak lurus pada kebutuhan air minum di wilayah Kelurahan Kalabahi Barat. Hal ini memicu persaingan antar masyarakat dalam usaha memperoleh air minum, yaitu dengan membocorkan pipa air minum yang melewati rumah masyarakat tanpa saling mempedulikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pembocoran pipa air minum pada jaringan perpipaan di wilayah Kelurahan Kalabahi Barat dengan menerapkan himpunan dominasi pada graf. Jaringan perpipaan yang digunakan sesuai kondisi sebenarnya, kemudian diterapkan ke dalam bentuk graf selanjutnya mencari himpunan dominasi untuk memperoleh simpul dominasi minimum. Hasil penelitian ini berupa total titik pembocoran pipa air minum yang optimum, yaitu dari sebelumnya total titik pembocoran adalah 276 titik yang mendominasi 536 buah rumah dan setelah menerapkan himpunan dominasi total titik pembocoran berkurang menjadi 177 titik yang mendominasi 536 buah rumah di Kelurahan Kalabahi Barat. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the ability to solve mathematical problems using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type cooperative learning model is better than conventional learning in class VIII of MTs Negeri 12 Agam in the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is a pre-experimental research with the research design of The Static Group Comparison Design. The study used two classes, namely the experimental class which was given treatment using a Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model and the control class using conventional learning. The population in this study is class VIII MTs Negeri 12 Agam. The research samples were students of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B of the control class. The research instrument used a mathematical problem solving ability test in the form of a description test. Based on the results of data analysis, the student's mathematical problem solving ability test is calculated by using the t-test, it is obtained and because , meaning that and are accepted, while using Minitab software, and . Thus, it can be concluded that students' mathematical problem solving skills using the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type cooperative learning model are better than conventional learning in class VIII of MTs Negeri 12 Agam in the 2021/2022 academic year.Keyword : Mathematical Problem Solving, Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) Model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of online learning on mathematics learning outcomes during the pandemic at SMA Nusantara Indah Sintang. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with regression research methods and simple regression research forms. The results of the F test or the significance value test (Sig.) obtained the value of Sig. = 0.067 which means > significant criteria (0.05), thus the regression equation model based on research data is not significant, as well as the results of the t test. There is a significant relationship between online learning and the learning outcomes of SMA Nusantara Indah Sintang students

Abstract

The Hansen-Patrick method is a third-order iterative method used to solve nonlinear equation. The method requires three evaluation of functions and has an efficiency index 31/3 » 1,4224. This study discusses a modification of the Hansen-Patrick method using the second order Taylor series. The second derivative is reduced using hyperbolic function with one parameter h. The aim of modification is to improve the convergence order of the Hansen-Patrick’s method. Based on the convergence analysis, the method has a fourth-order of convergence and envolve three evaluation of functions. So, its efficiency index is 41/3 » 1,5874. Numerical simulation is given to illustrate performance of the iterative method using six real functions. The performance of the iterative method include : a computational order of convergence, the number of iteration, evaluation of function, absolute error, and value of function, will be compared with Newton’s method, Halley’s method, Newton-Steffensen’s method, and Hansen-Patrick method. The numerical simulation shows that the performance of the method better than others

Abstract

Solving mathematics word problem is an example of problem solving which is helpful to everyday life, but not all students can easily solve it. Most students have difficulty and errors in solving it. Researchers often find in journal information that students struggle to complete a story. In some cases, it is a matter of mathematically shaped stories in the matter of cartesian coordinates. More than a few students are uneasy to solve mathematics word problem. In fact, many students have not known the concept of cartesian coordinates. The purpose of this study is to describe the type of error and the factors that cause students to make a mistake in solving mathematics word problem especially cartesian coordinates with the correct step of understanding the problem, formulating a plan, carrying out a plan, and examining the answer. It is a qualitative study carried out at public junior high school 2 Sukodono. The data of this study consist of data on written tests and interviews with the group A of VIII-A SMPN 2 Sukodono students. The method of data collection of this research is tests and interviews. The method of data analysis in this study id data reduction, test results analysis, display data, and withdrawal or verification. The subject of this study the three students who the most errors. Studies show made that the flaw of subjects 1, subject 2, and subject 3 lie in the understanding of the problem, formulating a plan, carrying out a plan, and examining answer. According to Polya, the three students had problem at the stage of solving mathematics word problem therefore, the three subjects could not continue the work at the next phase of formulalting a plan, carrying out a plan, and examining answer. The cause of the students’ mistakes is that the students did not understand the concept of the matter’s coordinates. Students didm’t understand the problem well, so they didn’t understand the proper problem settlement planning. In short, the results achieved by the student are inadequate.

Abstract

The model obtained in this study is expected to be able to describe the dynamics of the resources and processing of soybeans into tempeh. An understanding of the tempeh production process is obtained from direct observation and also from appropriate references. Furthermore, a petri net model and simulation of the tempeh production process was made with several assumptions that have been adjusted to the results of observations in the field. Obtained a petri net consisting of 14 places and 10 transitions. From the simulation results, must be reachable to reach the final state that has been determined with several assumptions.
