Combination of Android-based IPMLM and scaffolding acts as a synergism that increase students' actual abilities towards their potential abilities (ZPD). Thus, it can bridge students to achieve HOTS. This study aimed to: a) produce an Android-based IPMLM with scaffolding learning approach in Newton's law of motion material that is feasible to apply to increase high school students’ HOTS; b) examine the effectiveness of android-based IPMLM with scaffolding learning approach in Newton's law of motion material in increasing high school students’ HOTS. This R&D used the 4-D model consisted of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stages. Empirical test subjects of HOTS items were students of class XI MIPA, subjects of IPMLM readability test and extensive trial were students of class X MIPA. The extensive trial took two classes in each school, namely experimental and control class. Data collected through questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques included calculation of average scores, Aiken's validity index, item fit MNSQ INFIT-OUTFIT parameters, item reliability, and Anova mixed design test. The results showed that: 1) the developed Android-based IPMLM is feasible to be used in learning with scaffolding approach in Newton's law of motion material to increase high school students’ HOTS; 2) The increase of HOTS in the experimental class is greater than the control class. Hence, an Android-based IPMLM with scaffolding learning approach is effective to increase high school students’ HOTS, especially in Newton's law of motion material.

This research aims to identify the Bajo’s local wisdom in preservation sea and coastal area in the form of teaching material in the Basic Natural Science (BNS) focused on environment preservation. The type of research is research and development. Teaching material is arranged based on the principle and procedures of developing a 4-D model, there are: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Teaching material draft validated by two matter experts, one language experts, and one design expert. Teaching material draft tried to the Language and Literature Education students with 10 people in the small group and 40 people in the large group. The average validation results were 83.73% (very good) and did not need revision. Revised sections: cover, image source, chapter display, and change the unsuitable image. The small group student trials result obtained 80.68% (good) and large groups obtained 82.95% (good). The implication of this research is as an alternative solution to maintain and enhance the local wisdom value of the Bajo’s in preserving the sea and coast through teaching materials.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of chemistry practicum skills on students’ problem-solving abilities. The method used is descriptive research with a survey approach. The sample was determined using a simple random sampling probability technique, which included chemistry teachers from three different schools and 107 students from three schools. Indicators of practicum skills to problem-solving abilities ie students complete learning. Survey data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that 74 people (69%) were in the good category and 33 people (39%) were in the very good category, and there were no students in the average, poor, and failed categories. So, it can be concluded that students' practicum skills on the separation of mixture material are effective in problem-solving skills.

Digital literacy skills in the context of mastering the use of digital media were needed to streamline achievements in learning. One of the digital medias that can be applied in abstract learning is virtual reality. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of cognitive learning outcomes which include the presence or absence of the influence of the use of virtual reality media, the completeness of learning outcomes based on KKM and the completeness of classical learning outcomes. This type of research was pre-experimental by using one group pre-test post-test design. The sample used was class VIII Al-Asyari Technology Middle School which consists cof only one class. The instruments used in the study include description tests. The effect of learning outcomes was analyzed by t-test using SPSS, learning outcomes will be analyzed based on the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and classical completeness while learning motivation was analyzed quantitatively. The results showed that physics learning using effective virtual reality media on learning outcomes as evidenced by the influence of virtual reality media on results with a significance of 0.000, learning outcomes reached the KKM value of 75 with an average yield of 88.1. Classical learning completeness obtained a percentage of results of 86.3% included in the excellent category.

Education is a significant factor to shape human beings as a whole. The ability to think for humans plays an important role to develop information. The issue of lack of ability to think critically in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School needed to be addressed. One learning model that can be utilized to guide students to think critically is Problem Based Learning (PBL) using an e-module as the resource of learning material. The study aims to examine the implementation of Problem Based Learning model using e-module and its influence on students' critical thinking ability. This study used a quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design as its research design. In using the research design, two observations have been conducted; one was before the experiment called Pre-Test (O1) and one after the experiment of this study called the post-test (O2). There are two samples in this study; one is the experimental group and the other is the control group. The study was done in Sahida Lemah Abang Vocational High School. The data was gathered by using tests and observation sheets of the learning process. The result in this study shows averagely that the implementation in each of the learning stages has gained 95.7% which is in the category of very good value. The most significant difference is from the fifth indicator "developing strategy and tactic", n gain of experimental class and control class is 5.83 and 0.23 respectively. As the result of the hypothesis test is Sig. 0.035 which means that there is a significant difference in students' ability to think critically between the students in the experimental class and the control class, the students in the experimental class think more critically than the students in the control class.

This research aims to analyze the validity of Calculus II teaching materials based on virtual classes; the effectiveness of teaching materials that have been designed towards improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. The method used in this research is ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The research subjects were students of Informatics Engineering UNINDRA 4th semester who took Calculus II courses consisting 2 (two) classes, namely the experimental class consisting of 14 students and 15 students of the control class. Instruments and data collection techniques used in the form of observation, tests, and questionnaires. Data analysis used independent sample test and normalized gain score. The result showed that Calculus II teaching materials were based on virtual class was valid and effective to improve students’ understanding of concepts so it can be concluded that the teaching materials for Calculus II based on virtual classes are valid and suitable for use in learning and are effective and practical to improve student’s conceptual understanding.

This study aims to analyze the similarities, differences, and transferability of students' writing strategies in L1 (Indonesian) and L2 (English). Data were obtained from four participants majoring in English Education, two males and two females, which were categorized into skilled and less-skilled writers. The data were collected for four months using various methods, namely think-aloud protocols (TAPs), retrospective and semi-structured interviews, observations, and written drafts. The result showed that students employed similar personal strategies while writing in Indonesian (L1) and English (L2). This means that they transferred L1 strategies to L2 with some variances and similarities. The skilled writers viewed writing as a cyclical process of planning, writing, reading/rereading, rehearsing, and revising their texts. Meanwhile, less-skilled writers tended to employ linear and less recursive strategies. Furthermore, subsequent studies need to be conducted using these research findings and suggestions.

Learning tools have important role to promote effective learning process. Available learning tools was still unable to construct good understanding for students especially in acid base topic. The aims of this study were to examine validity and application of tools and to describe improvement of students conceptual understanding before and after tools applied during learning process. Dick and Carey model was applied as research method. Data were collected by means of interview, observation, and test. Data were analyzed through descriptive qualitative analysis. According to data analysis, validity of lesson plan, worksheet, hand book and evaluation tools were 90,95%, 90,59%, 92,16%, and 97,14% respectively which categorized as very valid. The application of learning tools was 92,16% which categorized as very good. The improvement of students conceptual understanding was 0,57 which categorized as average. This research provides learning tools that enhance students conceptual understanding of the concept of acid-base topic.
