Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of oil palm plantations on the socio-economic conditions of communities in Nanga Palikodan Village, Lamandau Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 38 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using a Likert scale to compare community conditions before and after the establishment of oil palm plantations. The results indicate that oil palm plantations have a positive impact on the community, as reflected in increased income and improved housing conditions. In addition, improvements were observed in road access, electricity, and village infrastructure such as educational facilities and places of worship. These developments are also supported by the creation of employment opportunities for local communities and increased sales of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) as a major source of income. The price of FFB also contributes to improving household income. Furthermore, oil palm plantation companies contribute socially through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, including support for the development and improvement of public facilities in the village. Therefore, oil palm plantations play an important role in improving community welfare and supporting rural development in Nanga Palikodan Village. Keywords:oil palm plantation; socio-economic impact; community income; rural infrastructure; Nanga Polikodan Village

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the production performance of several long bean varieties in the lowlands. The study was conducted from September to December 2025 at the Agro Nusantara Prima Garden in Sendangtirto Village, Berbah Subdistrict, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The study used a RAKL test design with 4 replications. The treatments consisted of varieties: KP ANP 01, Pertiwi, RKP 15, and Merah Putih Super. Observation data were analyzed using analysis of variance and continued with a 5% HSD test. The results showed that the variety treatment significantly affected the main parameters, namely pod weight per plant, number of pods per plant, pod length, storage capacity, leaf size and stem diameter, and productivity. However, it did not significantly affect the age at flowering. KP ANP 01 has a pod weight per plant of 762.33 grams, the number of pods per plant is 41.68, the pod length is 64.86 cm, the shelf life is 6.84 days, the leaf length is 15.45 cm, the leaf width is 9.59 cm, the stem diameter is 0.75 mm and the age of flowering is 38.50 days. The KP ANP 01 variety has advantages in the form of pod weight per plant, productivity and longer shelf life.

Abstract

Abstract

Limited agricultural land in urban areas has encouraged the application of verticultures system as an efficient and environmentally friendly cultivation method. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different growing media compositions on the growth and yield of kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) The experiment was conducted from September to December 2025 in Karangbolong Village, Kebumen, using a non-factorial Randomized Complete Blok Design (RCBD) with four treatments: M1 (soil + compost + cocopeat), M2 ( soil + compost + rice husk charcoal), M3 (soil + compost + soil), and M4 (soil + compost + rice husk), each replicated six times. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that most growth and yield parameters were not significantly from several others treatmenths. Overall, growing media composition influenced the physical and chemical properties of the media, affecting plant growth performance. Treatment M3 was considered the best combination as it consistently showed superior trends in several key parameters.

Abstract

The increasing public awareness of healthy lifestyles has driven the demand for hydroponic vegetables as a hygienic and high-quality food alternative. This study aims to analyze the influence of cultural, social, personal, and psychological factors on purchasing decisions of hydroponic vegetables in Brebes District. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents selected using simple random sampling. The partial test results indicate that personal and psychological factors have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, with significance values of 0.000 (<0.05). The personal factor shows the strongest influence with a regression coefficient of 0.253, followed by the psychological factor at 0.252. Meanwhile, cultural and social factors do not have a significant effect, with significance values of 0.650 and 0.663 (>0.05), respectively. Simultaneous testing reveals that all independent variables jointly have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, with an F-value of 48.276 and a significance level of 0.000.
