Abstract

This research was motivated by problems regarding parenting, difficulties in directing children to study because they get bored easily, difficulty dividing time between work and helping children when studying and difficulty in dealing with children using gadgets. This research aims to determine the parenting patterns obtained by Setia Bhakti Vocational School students and the impact obtained from parental care. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects were students of Setia Bhakti Vocational School, Tangerang City, class XI majoring in accounting who were taking online learning. Based on the data obtained, the pandemic has changed the parenting style provided by parents, where parents are not only involved in helping their children learn at home but also have to provide learning support facilities. Apart from that, working parents also have to divide their time between work and their children's needs during the online learning process. Not only that, parents must also monitor their child's development so that it does not decline and make the learning atmosphere enjoyable.

Abstract

Cleaning service roles hold a low position within an employment institution. Low wages evoke negative feelings, job dissatisfaction, and disappointment, which are characteristics of individuals with low  subjective well-being. Sincerity and gratitude are among the factors that can influence subjective well-being. This study aims to determine if there is a relationship between sincerity and gratitude concerning the subjective well-being of cleaning service personnel. This research is quantitative, utilizing scales for sincerity, gratitude, and subjective well-being. The population comprises cleaning service personnel at the Indonesian Islamic University, with a sample size of 52 individuals chosen through random sampling. The findings indicate that there is no association between sincerity and gratitude concerning subjective well-being among cleaning service personnel. Additionally, no correlation was found between sincerity and subjective well-being, nor between gratitude and subjective well-being. The study concludes that the level of sincerity and gratitude does not impact the level of subjective well-being among cleaning service personnel.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is important for adolescent, especially on their mental health. This study aimed to examine the relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being in adolescent K-pop fans. The population in this study were adolescents aged 13-18 years who were K-pop fans, with a research sample obtained from quota sampling with a total of 100 people. This research applied the quantitative method, while the data collection tools included the psychological well-being and loneliness scales. The data are then analyzed using the product moment technique. The study results show a significant negative relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being among adolescent K-pop fans. The level of psychological well-being and loneliness adolescent K-pop fans are in the moderate category. Based on the study results, the lower the level of loneliness among adolescents, the higher the psychological well-being will be and vice versa. The higher the level of loneliness, the lower the psychological well-being.

Abstract

It is difficult for domestic violence survivors to decide to divorce after experiencing psychological trauma, which decreases the level of their awareness. In this regard, the existential perspective of humanism views self-awareness as one of the factors that can encourage humans to take action to change their living conditions to be better than before. This study aims to explore the process of developing the self-awareness of domestic violence to be able to decide to divorce a husband who committed domestic violence using an existential-humanistic perspective. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and involves three female domestic violence as a research subject. Research data was collected through in-depth interviews by exploring the meaning of the experience of domestic violence survivors who had decided to divorce. The results showed that the divorce decisions taken by the domestic violence survivors were related to increasing self-awareness. Domestic violence survivors who reach a higher level of self-awareness are significantly more empowered and able to make better decisions in their lives.Keywords: Divorce decision making, domestic violence, self-awareness

Abstract

Persepsi Dukungan Organisasi dan Kepuasan Kerja sebagai Faktor Kebahagiaan Anggota Polri di Tempat KerjaHappiness is one of the important things in human life, including in work life. Working without having a sense of happiness at work will have an impact on individual or organizational performance. Therefore, examining the factors that may contribute to high or low happiness at work is something that is important to study. This study aims to examine the role of perceived organizational support and job satisfaction on the happiness of Polri members at work. The population of this study were active members of the police in the working area of Indonesia with a sampling technique using quota sampling, namely as many as 400 members of the Indonesian National Police. The approach used in this study is quantitative with the correlation method. The data collection tool used the happiness scale at work, the perceived organizational support scale and the job satisfaction scale. The results of the data analysis showed that the coefficient obtained was R=0.551, F=86.494, p=0.000 (p<0.01). The findings conclude that perceived organizational support and job satisfaction have a role in the happiness of Polri members at work.

Abstract

Job search anxiety in Indonesia has increased during and after the pandemic due to the ongoing economic and business situation. Internal factors are considered to be key influencers affecting this anxiety, including self-regulation and self-concept. This research aims to explore the relationship between self-regulation, self-concept, and job search anxiety among higher education graduates. The study involved 200 participants characterized by a minimum of a D3 education level, graduated between 2021-2022, and currently in the process of their first job search. Employing a quantitative approach, the research utilized three scales: self-regulation scale, self-concept scale, and job search anxiety scale, analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that self-regulation and self-concept simultaneously contribute to job search anxiety. This study suggests the importance of simultaneously strengthening self-concept and self-regulation in preparing graduating students to minimize arising levels of anxiety, ultimately aiding them in achieving their desired career and job objectives.

Abstract

Skala Kepekaan Humor (SKH): Studi Psikometrik pada Mahasiswa Etnik BanjarThe focus of this study contributes to adding reference to the psychometric property of the Sense of Humor Scale (SKH) which aims to be a culturally fair test. The type of validity used is content validity (logical type) and estimated reliability using the internal consistency method. A total of 50 Banjar ethnic students were the research subjects obtained by the convenience purposive sampling method. The reliability coefficient (alpha) for the violence component was 0.916, the annoyance component was 0.872, the parody component was 0.888 and the creativity component was 0.845. Selection of the initial 76 items of SKH resulted in 64 items that had been adjusted to the proportions of the components in the blue print, the lowest item discrimination power index (rit) was 0.281, the highest was 0.747 and the mean was 0.521. The reliability coefficient of the SKH composite score (Mosier formula) is 0.944, meaning that 94.4% is a pure score for the subject group (5.6% of the difference in the apparent score is due to variations in measurement errors). It was concluded that the results of a psychometric study of SKH in ethnic Banjar students showed empirical evidence that SKH is a valid and reliable measure of humor.

Abstract

The presence of K-Pop indicates that individuals tend to exhibit consumptive behavior towards themselves. This behavior arises when a fan wants to purchase items used by their idols. Unbeknownst to them, this behavior can lead to hedonic lifestyle and lack of self-control. The phenomenon of purchasing items causing consumptive behavior led to the research titled 'The Influence of Hedonic Lifestyle and Self-Control on Consumptive Purchasing Behavior of NCT (Neo Culture Technology) Fans in Indonesia.' The population in this study was 277,499 individuals found on the Twitter account @NCT_Indonesia, with a sample size of 384 people using the Accidental Sampling data collection method. The results of this study significantly show an influence on the emergence of consumptive behavior in individuals.

Abstract

The Rencong Telang Islamic society reflects distinctive cultural characteristics and unique values, particularly in the self-regulation system involving religious norms and local traditions. The individual's ability to control behavior and adapt to societal values is a key element in understanding behavior, especially in social and religious contexts. This research aims primarily to delve into and comprehensively analyze the phenomenon of self-regulation in the Rencong Telang Islamic society. Specific objectives include exploring the concepts and practices of self-regulation, involving religious norms, local traditions, and cultural values that shape self-regulation. This article also aims to analyze the role of self-regulation in various aspects of community life, ranging from worship to marriage customs and communal land management. Focus is also given to the social challenges and changes faced by the Rencong Telang Islamic society to understand how self-regulation can uphold traditional values. The method used is literature review, encompassing an analysis of relevant literature on self-regulation, Islamic society, and the specific context of the Rencong Telang Islamic society. The research findings indicate that self-regulation in this society encompasses various aspects of daily life, involving customs, Islamic principles, and governance. The ability to control behavior in worship, marriage customs, and communal land management is an integral part of self-regulation. The community employs self-regulation to preserve traditional values, adapt to changes, address social challenges, and manage social interactions. In the context of Social Cognitive Theory, self-regulation is explained as the result of behavioral control in customs and Islamic beliefs, embodied in Undang as the daily norm reflecting the influence of nature, Islamic teachings, and local traditions. Overall, self-regulation in this society is not solely individual but reflects social dynamics involving the entire community, with significant impacts on aspects of life, customs, Islam, and governance, playing a crucial role in preserving cultural values and identity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of perceived organizational support (POS) and gratitude on the organizational commitment of employees at RSUD dr M.Y. The sampling technique used was quota sampling, with 103 employees participating as subjects in the study. The instruments utilized included organizational commitment scale, perceived organizational support scale, and gratitude scale. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression. The results indicate a significant influence of both perceived organizational support and gratitude on organizational commitment at RSUD dr M.Y. Specifically, perceived organizational support does not significantly affect organizational commitment, whereas gratitude has a highly significant impact on organizational commitment. The conclusion drawn from this research is that higher levels of POS and gratitude jointly correspond to higher organizational commitment, and vice versa. However, independently, high or low levels of POS do not influence organizational commitment. Furthermore, higher levels of gratitude correlate with increased organizational commitment, while lower levels of gratitude correlate with decreased organizational commitment.
