Abstract

The structure of Trusmi-Cirebon batik actors release some entrepreneurs who have capital strength which hegemony the market and the marginalized craftsman. This study aimed to understand the hegemony patterns of batik market and symbolic adaptation strategies of artisans who are marginalized in the creation of designs, marketing, and interpreting internal conflicts. Research used a qualitative approach using a type of phenomenological research. The results of this study showed that the market hegemony was carried out by showroom, produced batik with thecategory of anggon batik, the used of silk materials, and adapted to market interest. On the other hand, marginalized craftsman of Trusmi batik face the hegemony of batik market by carried out the design creation strategy by making batik with the category of obrogan, made a typical of traditional batik motifs, not used silk and another similar materials, avoided showrooms market, and used the service of pengeber, yarnen and yarlud. They choose to avoid internal conflicts by considering batik as a joint property which was an ancestral heritage. It was concluded that the symbolic adaptation strategy of marginalized craftsmen was conducted to maintain the balance (homeostasis), order, and social integration

Abstract

The landscape of Bogor Botanical Garden (BBG) is influenced by different eras, particularly Dutch Colonial and post-war Indonesia. The research investigates visitors’ perceptions related to landscape of BBG based on visitors’ on-site experiences. The research involved 94 research participants, include local tourists and landscape architecture students. They were asked to take photo of landscape or elements they deemed colonial look landscape style using their own camera and send them online to researcher by social media. Each respondent were handed a GPS logger to record the capture locations of each photo. The results revealed that the most photos of colonial look landscape style were consist of buildings and hardscapes as focused objects, where Presidential Palace and Lady Raffles monument were buildings that mostly appear in photos. The photos’ captured locations were also concentrated to those buildings indicated that landscape surround those buildings had strong characteristics of colonial landscape style. The study also showed the effectiveness of inviting participants with educational background in landscape architecture than normal visitors to show perception of colonial look landscape on BBG site.

Abstract

The purposes of the research, 1) to know the impact of the community empowerment activities toward the local economic development using environment insight, 2) to analize the impacts of local economic development using environmental insight. The population are the village farmers who are the members of farmer groups consisted of 252 people. 20% or 50 samples were taken using proportional random sampling. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentations. The technique analysis used were descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of research showed that there is simultaneously contribution between community empowerment to local economic development with environment insight that is equal to 58,3%. The impact of local economic development on the environment to the community, increasing income, expanding of employment opportunities, reducing landslides and increasing the number of water springs. It can be concluded that there is a positive correlation between the empowerment of the community towards the local economic development using environment insight business in Ngrancah Village.

Abstract

The role of social institutions is very important as local wisdom because it can facilitate the community when planning, coordinating, and controlling activities to rehabilitate the environment. Local customary institutions also play a role in the development of rural areas, especially highland communities that function to build social capital: social, cultural, economic and environmental values, which are a wealth of local wisdom. By using social capital based on local wisdom, the community can rehabilitate forests with an effective local leadership system

Abstract

Semarang mangrove batik is the results of development and exploration of batik based on coastal environment especially mangrove forests. This has become a potential development of coastal batik, both as a coloring medium and as an idea to develop batik motifs. The study using qualitative method resulted in findings (1) mangrove waste, especially fruit, leaves, and stems producing different colors, can be used as eco-friendly batik coloring material which has soft, and classic monochromatic color characteristics. (2) Mangroves are also a source of ideas for developing motives with various variants of motifs, as well as motifs of trees and mangrove roots. (3) Utilization of mangrove waste as a dye for environmentally friendly batik is a manifestation of nature conservation which has an impact on the cultivation and maintenance of mangrove plants.

Abstract

Kempling art is a traditional art that has the characteristics of the form of musical performances that use musical instruments gembur, kendhang, karon, telon, kempling and kemanak which is almost the same as the tools used in rebana music which in its development changed like the addition of a keyboard and guitar that is not leaving the characteristic Kempling art with songs that sung like sholawatan, praise and songs that are poupuler in society. Kempling art is an art that has existed in the era of Sunan Giri and Sunan Kalijaga and in 1962 preserved in the Village Tourism Kandri Semarang City. Kempling Art Development conducted by Kempling Art Group is done so that Kempling Art can be enjoyed by the people of Semarang City. Kandri Tourism Village becomes a tourist village in 2012 and it becomes the community's duty to manage and utilize the existing tourism potentials. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation and data validity techniques examined by source triangulation method. The purpose of the study is to describe the development undertaken by the community without changing and keep holding tightly Kempling Artistry in the Village Kandri Semarang. Kempling art development is done through the development of songs, musical instruments, performances and costumes.

Abstract

Kesadaran dan kepedulian lingkungan harus ditanamkan pada masyarakat sejak usia dini, antara lain melalui pendidikan konservasi. Anak usia dini sangat sensitif secara psikologi, sehingga pembentukkan sikap dan karakter sangat tepat mulai diterapkan pada usia ini. Dalam pembelajaran pendidikan konservasi, alternatif sumber belajar yang dapat digunakan adalah lingkungan di sekitar sekolah atau lingkungan di sekitar tempat tinggal siswa. Pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar dengan melakukan jelajah alam sekitar (JAS) diharapkan mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar yang konkrit melalui pengamatan objek secara langsung.. Pendidikan konservasi berbasis JAS membantu proses penanaman kesadaran dan kepedulian siswa terhadap pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dan membantu pihak sekolah dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran pendidikan konservasi berbasis JAS. Beberapa aktivitas yang dilakukan dalam pembelajaran berbasis JAS ini meliputi 1) pengenalan materi pendidikan konservasi kepada guru dan siswa, 2) pembelajaran pendidikan konservasi menggunakan pendekatan JAS, 3) pendampingan dan penyusunan modul pendidikan konservasi “Eksplorasi Alam: Panduan Lapangan bagi Penjelajah Alam Sekitar”. Rencana selanjutnya adalah pendampingan secara berkelanjutan terhadap SD di Kelurahan Sekaran dan sekolah lain dalam skala yang lebih luas.

Abstract

The diversity and abundance of bird species in an area can indicate how the conditions in the area, such as mangrove forest which are the habitat of various species of wild bird. The purpose of study was to analyzing of relative abundance and diversity of birds in the mangrove forest of KPHL Gunung Balak. Data collection using the explore method in a habitat (field to field method). The result of study record was 30 species of birds from 9 family with total number 671 individuals. Analyzing showed the highest abundance of species little egret (Egretta garzeta) is 8.79% and the smallest abundance of species white-breasted Kingfsher (Halcyon smyrnensis) is 0.15%. Shanon-Wienner diversity index shows as medium scale with the value 3.13 which means that the condition of mangrove forest ecosystem in KPHL Gunung Balak is relatively good to support the life of wild birds.

Abstract

Semarang has various historical relics and cultural heritages stretching from the Hindu-Buddhist period to contemporary times. The cultural heritage has a strategic meaning in shaping the identity of the city and community in Semarang. With the existence of cultural heritage, society is expected to be able to absorb the values and meanings implied in it. The value is the value of care for the environment and the culture around it. However, community knowledge about the cultural heritages in Semarang City is constrained when information about historical relics is not presented systematically, comprehensively, and easily accessible. Therefore, through this research we aim to: (1) analyze the needs of the community related to cultural heritage information in Semarang City; (2) identify and inventory the existing cultural heritage in Semarang City; (3) developing a model of cultural heritage information system in Semarang City; (4) to analyze the effectiveness of cultural heritage information system model in Semarang City.

Abstract

Jaran Jenggo art is a circumcision dress art procession using a horse or jaran accompanied by jedor music. Jaran Jenggo art began to develop from the 6th generation to the 7th generation which has been implemented because of various aspects of modern thought, education and economics Making Jaran Jenggo Art Aswo Kaloko Joyo makes art form innovation so that it is not monotonous. It is this change that motivates. Jaran Jenggo Aswo Kaloko Joyo developed the form. The aim of the study was to find out the development. Jaran Jenggo Aswo Art Kaloko Joyo from the 6th generation to the 7th day. This study uses qualitative methods through the Sociology of Arts approach to encode the development of society towards artists in the creation of films. Jaran Jenggo to make it look more attractive. Social change, making Jaran Jenggo Art finally began to rise with innovative forms, accompaniment, costumes and make-up, even to the stage that consisted of the farewell stage which began in the 6th Generation to become a new form and developed until the 7th generation ofization. Jaran Jenggo Art Aswo Kaloko Joyo has found a country that is mature enough in the mood, with the development that creates Jaran Jenggo still has to improve the quality and quality of the art they have.
