Abstract

Higher education is a place of knowledge transfer with the certain framework set by a trusted institution. Nevertheless, the concept of knowledge transfer was still limited to a qualitative or tentative which made the output was only the micro scale of the institution scope. It was not appropriate to the goal of learning process in a very broad sense, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The objective of the study was to know the influence of entrepreneurship subject on students’ interest in entrepreneurship  at Institut Pesantren Mathaliul Falah (IPMAFA) Pati with hidden curriculum as the intervening variable. It used WarpsPls analysis to test the model directly and directly. The samples of the study were 30 Islamic banking students who got entrepreneurship subject and Islamic community development who did not get the entrepreneurship subject. The results of this study explained that the entrepreneurship subject influenced students’ interest in entrepreneurship and the second model test results showed that hidden curriculum was not able to become the intervening variable for students’ interest in entrepreneurshipPerguruan tinggi merupakan tempat transfer ilmu dengan kerangka yang telah ditetapkan oleh lembaga yang dipercaya. Namun demikian, konsep dari proses transfer ilmu masih sebatas kualitatif atau bahkan tentatif sehingga ouput yang dihasilkan masih berkutat pada skala mikro dari lingkup lembaga. Hal ini belum selaras dengan tujuan proses pembelajaran yang mempunyai arti sangat luas, baik kualitatif maupun kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh mata kuliah kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha pada mahasiswa Institut Pesantren Mathaliul Falah (IPMAFA) Pati dengan hidden curriculum sebagai variabel intervening. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis WarpsPls dengan menguji model langsung dan tidak langsung. Sampel yang diteliti adalah mahasiswa dengan Prodi Perbankan Syariah dan mahasiswa Prodi Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam dengan kriteria mahasiswa yang telah mendapatkan Matakuliah Kewirausahaan dan yang belum mendapatkan Matakuliah Kewirausahaan dengan jumlah sampel 30 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa Matakuliah Kewirausahaan berpengaruh terhadap minat berwirausaha dan hasil uji model yang kedua menjelaskan bahwa hidden curriculum tidak mampu menjadi variabel intervening bagi minat berwirausaha mahasiswa.

Abstract

Surveys and researches showed that there were many low finance literacy in various places. It happened also in The Economics Faculty, Semarang State University/ Universitas Negeri Semarang, there were from 16 of 40 students who had good financial behaviors. It was contradictive because they have taken accounting subject who should make them good in financial literacy. The research on financial literacy had the contradiction, especially the influence of financial education variable on financial literacy. Therefore; this study raised the mediating variables; the consumer knowledge variable and psychological factor variables (motivation, self efficacy). This study was analyzed structurally divided into two analyses; descriptive analysis and path inferential analysis.  The results of descriptive analysis showed that students’ financial literacy and financial education were in enough categories; whereas, motivation and self-efficacy were in good condition, and students’ financial knowledge was in unfavorable category. The results of path analysis showed that the variable of financial education did not have any direct influence  toward financial literacy, but it had indirect influence through motivation. Then, the variable of financial education also did not have any direct influence toward self-efficacy, and self-efficacy did influence toward financial literacy and financial knowledge did not have any influence toward financial literacy. Thus; the learning process on Finance should involve three aspects; cognitive, affective, and psychomotor; and it needs the development of learning model on Finance to involve students’ activeness in managing their financial activities.

Abstract

Learning media have the very important role in the learning process. The learning media help the process of delivering information from teachers to students. The learning media also make something abstract and difficult for students to be clearer and easier to be understood. Along with the technological development, the media existence based on computer are widely used as the alternative learning media. The objective of the study was to create the accounting learning media based on e-learning using Moodle software; it was one of e-learning applications which could be used in the learning activities and it was easy to be created.  It was a Research and Development study using Borg and Gall model. The stages of the study were: 1) the initial needs analysis, 2) the initial product development, 3) the expert validation, 4) the first revision; 5) the limited field tests 6) the second revision, 7) the final product. The material validation was performed by the materials experts; whereas the media validation was performed the media experts and users (students). The results showed that there was 100% validated by the material experts and 96.67%, by the media experts; 81.49% was from the users (students); thus the average validation was 92.72%. It means that the learning based on e-learning for accounting subject with Moodle application was very suitable. Thus; it is suggested for the teachers to use the learning media based on e-learning in the learning process. Then, facilities and infrastructure in the classroom should be adequate to support the optimal utilization of the media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students’ learning achievement. 32 students of grade X at SMA 2 Semarang were treated by classroom action research from May until June 2011. The research consisted of 2 cycles covering 4 stages, namely; Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting. It used cooperative learning strategy with learning CD. The descriptive analysis technique was used  to compare the observation result and reflection in each cycle. The results showed that the cooperative learning methods can increase classically the learning mastery at grade X-8 was for 75% in the first cycle with the average score was 70.22 and 100% in the second cycle with the average score was 79.72.Then, it can be concluded that cooperative learning strategy by the learning CD can improve the cooperation,  positive attitude, giving opinion and encourage students take parts in the fun atmosphere of learning process. So, the strategy can improve learning outcomes on Economics in the Material of Consumption and Saving Functions.Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah strategi pembelajaran kooperatif berbantuan CD (Compact Disk) pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar? Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif kompetitif berbantuan CD. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dilakukan pada bulan Mei–Juni 2011 pada siswa kelas X8 SMA Negeri 2 Semarang dengan jumlah peserta 32 siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus mencakup 4 tahap yaitu Perencanaan, Tindakan, Pengamatan dan Refleksi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif komparatif yaitu membandingkan kondisi awal sebelum tindakan dengan hasil-hasil yang dicapai pada setiap siklus. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif kompetitif dapat meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal pada kelas X8 yaitu 75% pada Siklus I dengan nilai rata rata 70,22 dan 100% pada siklus II dengan nilai rata rata 79,72. Simpulan penelitian adalah Pembelajaran dengan Strategi Kooperatif Kompetitif Berbantuan CD Pembelajaran dapat membangun sikap kerjasama yang positif, menumbuhkan keberanian bertanya dan mengemukakan pendapat, berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dengan suasana yang menyenangkan sehingga dapat meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Ekonomi Materi Fungsi Konsumsi dan Tabungan.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to know influence of Problem Based Learning model toward students’ and achievement on Financial Management subject for undergraduate program students of Accounting Education. It was a quantitative research using true experimental design. The samples of this study were undergraduate program students of Accounting Education in the year of 2014. Students at class A were the control class A and at class B were experimental class. The data were analyzed by t-test to determine the differences of their learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. Then, the questionnaires were distributed to gather students’ activities information in their students’ learning model. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of Problem Based Learning model toward students’ activities and learning outcomes on Financial Management subject for undergraduate program students of Accounting Education since tcount≥ ttable; it was 6.120≥1.9904. Students’ learning activities with Problem Based Learning model were better than students who were taught with conventional learning model.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes as a result of low students’ interest in learning on the Organizational Behavior subject was the background of the study. The objective of the study was to develop a learning media video based on swishmax dan screencast o-matic softwares through the contextual approach. The study used the ADDIE development model which consisted of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Before using, the learning video media first tested  by the media experts and the subject experts. Then; it needed students’ feedback on questionnaires about the media. The results of the  experts, and students’ questionnaires showed that the media was very good and feasible to be used. The effectiveness of the media was analyzed by t-test. It obtained the mean score of experimental class was 85.03; whereas the mean score of control class was only 79.00. By using the t test scores was 3.30> 1.997; then Ho was rejected. Therefore; it can be concluded that learning by using the learning video media based swishmax and screencast o-matic softwares through the contextual approach was better than the conventional teaching on Organizational Behavior.Rendahnya hasil belajar sebagai akibat dari rendahnya minat belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah perilaku organisasi adalah hal yang mendasari dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media video pembelajaran berbasis Software Swishmax dan Screencast O-matic dengan pendekatan kontekstual. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dimana dalam tahapnya terdiri dari 5 tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, development, implementasi, evaluasi. Sebelum digunakan, media video pembelajaran terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Selain itu diperlukan juga angket tanggapan mahasiswa mengenai media tersebut. Hasil dari validasi ahli media, materi dan angket mahasiswa berkriteria sangat baik dan layak untuk digunakan. Uji keefektifan media menggunakan uji t pihak kanan, diperoleh rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen 85,03, dan kelas kontrol adalah 79,00. Dengan analisis menggunakan uji t diperoleh nilai ttabel < thitung yaitu 3,30> 1,997maka H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media video pembelajaran berbasis Software Swishmax dan Screencast O-matic dengan pendekatan kontekstual lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada mata kuliah perilaku organisasi.

Abstract

The objective of the was to test the effectiveness of entrepreneurship teaching materials for students majoring at Pendidikan Kesejahteraan keluarga (PKK) on the Faculty of Engineering, Semarang State University (Unnes). Entrepreneurship teaching materials were developed by researchers with ADDIE model, and the article only focused on the effectiveness of entrepreneurship teaching materials. It was a quasi-experimental study with a before-after or one group pretest-posttest technique. The research was conducted for 4th semester students of Pendidikan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) Department who were taking the entrepreneurship subject. In the experimental group, students were taught with teaching materials which were developed by the references of entrepreneurship subject on Higher Education and also was adapted with the conditions of  Unnes students.The data were collected by test, questionnaires and learning observation sheets. To test the hypothesis, it used paired t-test analysis and gain-score testing to measure the effectiveness of teaching materials in supporting the Entrepreneurship subject at the department of PKK on the Faculty of Engineering, Unnes. The results of the study showed that entrepreneurship teaching materials were in enough effective and the results of other analyzes showed that students’ scores increased from pre-test to post-test for students who were taught with Entrepreneurship teaching materials.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to describe the planning, implementation, observation and reflection, to evaluate and identify the constraints and solutions at each cycle and also to find out the learning outcomes achieved with scientific approach through the discovery learning model for 2nd grade students at SMP 2 Kudus. It was a descriptive qualitative study. The research result showed that the students’ activity was enough on the first cycle and good on the second cycle. The average mean score of the written test on the first first cycles B- and A- on the second cycle. If it was seen from the minimum completeness criterion (KKM), there were 19 students with the percentage of acquisition was 55% on the 1st cycle and there were 32 students with the percentage of acquisition was 93% on the 2nd cycle. The observation results showed that scientific approach gave improvement of students’ activities on the first cycle and the second cycle. The results obtained from the use of scientific approach through the discovery learning model to improve the activity was good, but it needs to be observed continuously on students’ attitudes, skills and knowledge in school life.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat gaya hidup yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa apakah dipengaruhi oleh pendidikan yang telah diterima dikeluarga dan financial literacy mereka. Serta pengaruh financial literacy sebagai mediasi untuk pendidikan ekonomi dikeluarga terhadap gaya hidup. Sampel dipilih berjumlah 334 dari populasi 2040 mahasiswa Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta. Teknik analisis data menggunakan path analysis.Deskripsi data diperoleh bahwa 60,78% mahasiswa pada kategori sedang  untuk pendidikan ekonomi dikeluarga, 47%  mahasiswa pada kategori tinggi untuk financial literacy dan 58% mahasiswa memiliki gaya hidup tinggi. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa (1) pendidikan ekonomi mempengaruhi gaya hidup sebesar 6,4%, (2) financial literacy mempengaruhi sebesar 3,7% terhadap gaya hidup dan (3)  pengaruh pendidikan ekonomi dikeluarga melalui financial literacy terhadap gaya hidup sebesar 1,9%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa financial literacy tidak meningkatkan pengaruh pendidikan ekonomi dikeluarga terhadap gaya hidup. Hasil penelitian akan digunakan sebagai salah satu acuan dalam penerapan perkuliahan kewirausahaan.

Abstract

Profesi kependidikan, khususnya profesi guru tugas utamanya adalah melayani masyarakat dalam dunia pendidikan. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut profesionalisasi dalam bidang keguruan mengandung arti peningkatan segala daya dan usaha dalam rangka pencapaian secara optimal layanan yang akan diberikan kepada masyarakat. Oleh karena itu standarisasi kompetensi guru ditetapkan bagi seorang guru dalam menguasai seperangkat kemampuan agar layak menduduki jabatan guru, sesuai bidang tugas dan jenjang pendidikannya. Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki seorang guru adalah kompetensi personal, yaitu kompetensi nilai yang dibangun melalui perilaku yang dilakukan guru, memiliki pribadi dan penampilan menarik, mengesankan guru dambaan setiap siswa, sosok guru yang menjadi tauladan bagi siswa dan panutan masyarakat. Kompetensi personal tersebut memberi arti bahwa untuk profesi guru tidak hanya diperlukan pengetahuan yang luas tetapi juga diperlukan karakteristik tertentu secara personal. Untuk itu mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi sebgai calon guru/pendidik perlu dibekali dengan ketrampilan-ketrampilan agar memiliki kompetensi personal yang memadai. Abstract

The research aims to test the students’ engagement variable as intervening variable on the relationship between previous achievement and motivation to oral participation in accounting prospective teacher students at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Besides, this research also tested whether attitudes affect oral participation directly. The population in this research is all students of accounting education at University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), while the sample in this research was 300 samples. This research used path analysis test to identify direct, indirect, and total effect. The result of path analysis test showed that student engagement strengthens the relationship between previous achievement and motivation to oral participation in prospective accounting teacher students and attitude toward oral participation. Based on the result of research, it is needed  to improve the students’ oral participation, the previous achievement and motivation must be improved. Both of these factors will increase the students’ engagement that is happy feeling in the process of discussion, having dedication, and being able to overcome various problems.
