Abstract

Aim of research is: (1) developing model study of Better Teaching And Learning with character (BTL-K) able to grow character, improving enthusiasm, activity, and result learn student, determining is valid, effectiveness and is practical of model study of developed BTL-K. This research represent research of development (RD). Research executed in three phase, that is: (1) eksplorasi by teoretis and expert reviu to model of BTL-K. (2) empirical Test, for memvalidasi empirically model of BTL-K. (3) Phase implementation, to know effectiveness and is practical of model of BTL-K. Result of research indicate that model study of BTL-K the developed is to integrate character items into items of IPA (Physics), and presented at step of connection at network do ICARE step. This Model is expressed valid by validator and supported with result of validasi by empirik through field ujicoba. This model have also been tested by its effectiveness in grow character and improve enthusiasm, activity, and result learn cognately of student. Practical of applying of model of BTL-K this have also been tested to through observation to ability of teacher in learning in class, response learn to amenity of teacher in using model, and response keberterimaan of student to study model applied by teacher. End result indicate that model study of BTL-K the developed have fulfilled valid criterion, effectiveness, and is practical.

Abstract

Nusus Adabiyah (Analisis Teks Sastra) is one of the new subject in competence and conservation based curriculum in Arabian Education Department of FBS UNNES. Nusus Adabiyah (Analisis Teks Sastra) is given in 6th semester as a continuity of subject Pengantar Ilmu Sastra (1st Adab or Sejarah Sastra Arab (4th semester) and subject Tarikh semester). Nusus Adabiyah (Analisis Teks Sastra) needs to be improved through the development of lesson plan and suitable materials. The implementation of Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) in the materials will help students in learning the literature text analysis as well as improving their awareness in culture and analysis ability. This article analyse the students’ need of Nusus Adabiyyah material, the students’ response toward Nusus Adabiyyah material and the utilization of CCU in Nusus Adabiyyah material. Research and Development Approach is used in this study while the subject of  this study is students of Arabian Eduaction which have studied Pengantar Ilmu Sastra and Tarikh Adab or Sejarah Sastra Arab in the previous semesters. Method of collecting the data in this study includes test and and non-test methods: questionaire, interview, and documentation. 27 students (54%) need materials which focus on the Arabian literature work and its analysis technique. The other materials beside those two are not yet needed because students still have difficulties in analysing the Arabian literature work. The learning of Nusus Adabiyah by inserting CCU makes the students become more motivated to learn, to think positively, and they are also encouraged to learn Arabian culture.

Abstract

The attainment of education in Indonesia is low. It can be seen from the measurement results of PISA 2013, which measures the ability of Mathematics, Reading, and Science for students in Junior High School education age. Meanwhile, in 2014 the implementation of Curriculum 2013 will be implemented 100% in class VII and VIII. How is the readiness of Junior High School teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science regarding to the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in 2014? This study aimed to describe the understanding of junior high school teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science to the 2013 curriculum, an innovative learning process, as well as authentic assessment in Semarang city. The study was designed as a descriptive study with a sample of teachers in Mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and Science (public and private) in the Semarang taken proportionally based on the accreditation status of A, B, and C. The statistical analysis that will be used is simple statistic equipped with the descriptive analysis of narrative. Research steps to be carried out are: sampling, research instruments development, data collection, data analysis, and results. The results indicated an understanding of 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers. It showed good result (score 3.7), understanding of the innovative learning process in using 2013 curriculum by Junior High School teachers showed good result (score 3.9), Junior High School teachers’ understanding of the authentic assessment showed considerable good result (score of 3.6), and Junior High School teachers in Bahasa Indonesia subjects, science and mathematics attitudes toward the implementation of curriculum 2013 showed good results. It can be seen from the average score of 3.8 with good categories on the questionnaire analysis. Most of teachers’ attitudes toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum indicated positive respond. On the other hand, factor of teacher readiness toward the implementation of 2013 curriculum still needs to be improved.Keywords: implementation of Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Abstract.  Improving the quality of learning is one of the basic, improvement of education as a whole. Efforts to improve the quality of education into an inte­grated part of efforts to improve human quality, both aspects of ability, per­sonality, and responsibility. One to improve the quality of the learning process is by using an effective media, attract students to learn and explain thoroughly the material to be delivered so that in the end can improve student learning outcomes.The design of this research is Quasi-Experimental Design with Research model of Nonequivalent Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The sample of the re­search are 60 students selected by Sample Random Sampling.  Data analysis was done with parametric statistic with the prerequisite test included a normality test, homogeneity test, then tested different and influence test.The result showed that the average score of the control group was 70.61, for the experimental group the average score was 74.81. There is the difference of result of student learning between the control group and experiment group after learning using visual media using Lectora application and result of influence test show result of t-count 3,621 t-table equal to 2,052 with it can be concluded that there the influence of learning result after given treatment.

Abstract

The application of Total Physical Response and repetition model to develop young learners learning is the combination of song, movement, and language by using audio, visual, and kinesthethic. This research aims at applying young learners learning model, which consists of; to look for and select nursery rhymes and movement implemented in TPR and repetition model, to determine steps and flow is used in English young learners learning, to create learning CD, and TPR and Repetition handout, to analyze the use of TPR and repetition in young leaners learning. The significance of the research is to contribute English young learners teachers learning model so the learners are able to learn English easily and attractively. The result of this research influences positive effect towards English young learners mastery because they are able to learn and sing simultenously to memorize new vocabularies using musical movement. It can be seen from the investigation result of the use of course design and lesson plan is 71,67, the investigation result of the use of course design, lesson plan, learning CD, and TPR handout is 72,5. Moreover, the application TPR and repetition before and after learning it has improvement 34,15. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the application of Total Physical Response and repetition model to develop young learners / kindergaten learning can be applied well and give motivation to learn English easily.

Abstract

This purpose of this research aims to develop the media dialouge using wangsalan/parikan by utilizing the Javanese cartoon move as the mdia in accordance with Javanese manners. The study design is Research and Development (RD). The research used questionnaire of teacher and action test. The analysis of data is using qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of dvelopment Javanese cartoon movie as a media is adequate, effective, and material has also been good.

Abstract

Performance of teachers in teaching and learning became one of the most important part in supporting the creation of the educational process effectively, especially in building discipline and quality of student learning outcomes. Efforts to improve the professionalism of teachers should consider the improvement of education quality, teachers quality and how teachers teach is an important factor in explaining the learning outcomes of students. This study is reviewing the system of guidance, educational training, and infrastructure through pedagogic competence, personality, social and professional education on the performance of elementary school teachers using the approach path analysis. The population in this study were all physical education teachers in primary school in district of Semarang, the amount 285 persons, with minimized sample amounted to 74 people and taken propotionate using multistage random sampling. The results of this study is a variable that directly affects the competence of teachers is a system of guidance, facilities, educational training. While that directly affect the performance of teachers is the coaching system and infrastructure. Education and training are not proven to directly affect the performance of physical education teachers. System development, infrastructure, educational training directly affects the performance of physical education teachers through competence, but competence is not directly influence the performance of physical education teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of second-hand goods as a source of learning can improve students’ learning results. This research is a qualitative research using action research approach in school. The main data obtained from informants such as school principals, and teachers. Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation methods. The results showed that the scientific utilization of thrift as a source of learning can improve student achievement. It was shown by: (1) Increasing activity of student learning qualitatively that was shown by an increase in the average value of students’ learning activities from the initial data 18.03 into 21.50 in the first cycle and increased to 25.30 in the second cycle. Learning activities of students are in the active category. In quantitative, students who are active in science learning increase from the initial data that only 40% to 63.335% in the first cycle and increased to 90% in the second cycle or from 12 students to 19 students in the first cycle and moving up to 27 students in second cycle ; (2) Improvement of student learning outcomes demonstrated by average value increase of the initial data 69.19 to 74.67 in the first cycle and 83.17 on the second cycle as well as an increase in the students percentage of mastery learning of the initial data 46, 67% increase to 66.67% in the first cycle and became 93.33% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang masih rendah otodidak belajar siswa dalam ceramah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perkuliahan Kalkulus II diambil oleh mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika FMIPA UNNES. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus berisi tentang perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan evaluasi-refleksi. Sebelum itu, ada pembagian ke dalam klasifikasi diskusi terdiri dari empat atau lima orang setiap kelompok. Hasil penelitian telah dilakukan dua siklus penelitian. Siklus I mencapai hanya 12 siswa atau 27,91% dari seluruh siswa yang belajar secara otodidak mendapatkan skor 60 berarti masih di bawah indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini, yaitu 60%. Jadi perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus berikutnya. Dari portofolio yang telah dikumpulkan, dapat dilihat bahwa kreativitas siswa dalam membuat kuesioner yang masih rendah. Umumnya mereka tidak mendapatkan referensi kecuali dari kelas mereka. Siklus II mencapai 27 siswa atau 62,79% dari seluruh siswa yang mendapatkan skor otodidak belajar 60 sehingga indikator keberhasilan telah tercapai. Tapi ada masih ada gelisah tentang perbedaan skor cara belajar secara otodidak siklus I dan II, yaitu hanya 4,53, sehingga untuk siklus berikutnya peningkatan skor harus memiliki perhatian. Dari studi di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif " student teams achievement division " (STAD) oleh portofolio diprogram sebagai pengembangan perencanaan Aku Kalkulus dapat meningkatkan otodidak belajar siswa. Penelitian ini perlu ditindaklanjuti karena masalah belajar tidak bisa selesai oleh satu model pembelajaran. Penelitian perlu mengembangkan setiap model pembelajaran dan menerapkannya di kelas untuk siswa tidak bosan. Itu diperlukan penelitian selanjutnya yang melihat dampak dari model pembelajaran dari sisi lain, misalnya dalam kreativitas dalam membuat kuesioner di dalam kelas dalam dan luar ruangan belajar.Kata Kunci: student teams achievement division, autodidact learning, portfolio programmed

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui self-efficacy calon guru matematika pada kopetensi pengelolahan kelas dan juga pengajaran matematika. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dua angket untuk masing-masing self-efficacy disiapkan untuk diberikan pada subjek penelitian. Angket yang bertama adalah diadaptasi dari teacher readiness scale for managing challenging classroom behaviour sedangkat angket keduda diadaptasi dari Mathematics teaching efficacy belief instrument. Kedua angket tersebut menggunkan skala Likert dengan nilai dari 1-5 mulai dari sangat tidak setuju sampai sangat setuju. Skor rata-rata tiap item dihitung dengan menjumlahkan seluruh respon subjek untuk item tersebut dan dibagi oleh jumlah subjek. Skor rata-rata self-efficacy keseluruhan dihitung dengan menjumlahkan seluruh rata-rata tiap item dan dibagi dengan jumlah item. Hasil penelitian menunjukan skor rata-rata self-efficacy calon guru matematika pada kemampuan pengelolaan kelas adalah 3.85, sedangkan skor rata-rata calon guru matematika pada kemampuan pengajaran matematika adalah 3.77.
