Abstract

Teacher competency is a mandatory requirement of every individual who works as a teacher at the lowest level such as PAUD or skill subject teacher at the high school level, and here even the Class Teachers in Elementary School must have because it is a pedagogic competence that is one of the four competencies that must be owned by a teacher in accordance with the Teacher and Lecturer Law. The right way to improve professional teacher competency is by coaching, training or non-training / activities other than education and training and is now rife with development through education / education in the network or known online. With this Online it is clear that the ability of a teacher in the use of technology need not be doubted, because all the training processes are carried out and completed with the use of computers. So that the computer capabilities of the teacher must be in good category. This study aims to assess the teaching ability of teachers and the learning process in the classroom by comparing several classes of teachers who obtain online and have not received education training in the network. The results of the study are analysis data obtained from students with the help of questionnaires, teacher teaching skills in designing learning and in preparing learning tools. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results show that there are errors in alternative learning carried out in the classroom, that learning is still in flattening rather than integrated. Therefore it is necessary to improve the evaluation in online activities held by the government, because in the value of the teacher evaluation is complete, but the skills and ability to teach teachers can not meet the national education goals. Not only that?, the transition from the two different curricula? is still widely found learning can not meet the scientific approach criteria

Abstract

This research was to determine the effect of the arithmetics Jarimatika practice towards multiplication skills in second grade Elementary School cluster of Jogonegoro Selomerto, Wonosobo District. The population in this study was second grade Elementary School cluster of Jogonegoro which is amounted 8 schools. The type of the research was quasy experiment by using the type of the randomized control gourp pretest-posttest design. The sampling system used in the reserarch was cluster random sampling method which takes in two steps randomly. The first step got 5 class samples and second step got 3 classes. Analysis of hypothesis testing is using SPSS version 20, that produced: (1) There was influence of Jarimatika aplication to the multiplication numeracy skills, value df = 40 obtained by the Sig. (2-tiled) 0024, then H0 was rejected. (2) Jarimatika practice increased the multiplication numeracy skills. The analysis of N-Gain know to increase numeracy skills in the experimental class at 0.411. While control class only 0.135.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan dan kefektifan  media Pop-Up Book pada pembelajaran menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas III. Metode Penelitian  Research and Development (R&D). Subyek penelitian siswa kelas III SDN 01 1 Langensari Kabupaten Semarang. Sumber data  dari validasi media, validasi materi, hasil belajar , dan tanggapan siswa dan guru tentang media yang dikembangkan. Desain penelitian Pre-Experimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design.Hasil penelitian  menunjukan Pop-Up Book yang dikembangkan terdiri atas 3 cerita narasi berbentuk gambar ilustrasi berbantuan photoshop.Pop-Up Book  memenuhi kevalidan media sebesar 83,82% dengan kriteria sangat layak dan oleh ahli materi 87,50% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Pada uji coba skala besar hasil posttest siswa telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan klasikal yaitu sebesar 94,4%. Hasil perhitungan N-gain dengan hasil 0.50 menunjukkan kriteria “sedang”. Hasil Uji t 16,420 > 2,0315 terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan. Media Pop-Up Book memenuhi kriteria valid dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran menulis narasi siswa kelas III SD.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to develop a guidebook of writing instructional texts by using drawing cards, describe media and materials experts' judgements against the guidebook prototype, and describe the effectiveness of the guidebook in limited tryout to the students of IV-A class, State Elementary School (SDN) Tambakaji 05, Semarang City. This study employed research and development (R&D) design with seven steps. The data were collected through need questionnaires and validation sheet questionnaires. Further, the results of this study were: (1) there were found three needs of teachers and students, namely, (a) The appearance of the guidebook with the criteria of rectangular shape, small size or A5, between 20-40 pages of book thickness, white-colored paper, having pictures and illustrations, colored drawings and illustrations, and full color book covers, (b) match with basic competencies and instructional themes; (c) standardized language use and various sentences; (d) chronological material presentation in presenting learning objectives, materials, interesting book design, exercises, and the balance amount of evaluation exercises with the materials; (2) there found very valid category in experts' judgement steps, namely 93.05%; (3) the same category was also found in the limited tryout to the students of IV-A class, SDN Tambakaji 05, Semarang City whose average was 85.41. From these findings, it can be concluded that the guidebook of writing instructional texts by using drawing cards is feasible and effective to use in learning process and can improve the fourth grade students' learning achievement.

Abstract

Based on preliminary data which were obtained through the observations first grade of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01, Semarang city was found some problems in learning processes. The less maximum of the teacher in using 8 teaching skill impact on not maximum of student activities. The lack of variety and innovation in learning processes to make the students do actvities that are inconsistent with learnin. It is an impact on students’activity and result learning. Formulation of the problem in this study were: (1) Does model of Snowball Throwinglearning can improve the teacher skill in learning processes of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city? (2) Does model  Snowball Throwing learning can improve students’ activities in learning processes of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city? (3)Does model Snowball Throwinglearning can improve learning quality of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city? The research goals of this class action are: (1) To increase the teachers’ skills by applying the model of Snowball Throwing. (2) To increase the students’ activities in learning by applying the model ofSnowball Throwing. (3) To increase learning quality by applying the model of Snowball Throwing. This research is classroom action research using a model of Snowball Throwinglearning. It counsist of  three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, execution, observations and reflection. The subject of this research were the teachers and the students on fifth  grade of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city. Data collection techniques using the test techniques, observation, documentation and The result showed that the teacher’s skill has increassed. On first cycle the teachers’ skill get a score with average 2,5 which included in good category. On second cycle the techers’ skill get score with average 3,4 which included in very good category. On third scycle the techers’ skill get score with average3,4 which included in very good category.The increase also occured in students activities. On first cycle the students activities get score with average 3,0 which included in good category, and on second cycle the students activities get score with average 3,53 which included in very good category. and on third cycle the students activities get score with average 3,56 which included in very good category. On first cycle the learning result getaverage 67,6 with percentage 63% students is success in learning., on second cycle the learning result increasing get average 73,5 with persentagen73,9% students  is success in learning. On third cycle the learning result get average 76,5 with percentage 84,7% students is successin learning. This shows that percentage of learning result 80% so is success full. Conclusion from classroom action research by model of Snowball Throwing learning can be increase teacher skill in learning IPS. To increase the students’ activities in learning by applying the model ofSnowball Throwing. (3) To increase learning quality by applying the model of Snowball Throwing. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam aspek keterampilan berbicara yang disebabkan karena keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengandemikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media boneka tangan untuk kelas II SDN Purwoyoso 04 Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian perkembangan (R&D) berdasarkan teoriSugiyono yang telah disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penelitian menjadi delapan tahan pelaksanaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan media boneka tangan, 2) menguji kelayakan media boneka tangan, dan 3)menguji keefektifan media boneka tangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut. Hasil uji kelayakan yang dilakukan validator materi mendapat rata-rata persentase 87,5% dengan kriteria sangat layakdan ahli media mendapat rata-rata persentase 96,67% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Uji keefektifan skala terbatas media boneka tangan pada siswa kelas II SDN Purwoyoso 04 menghasilkan rata-rata nilai sebelum (pretest) adalah41 dan rata-rata nilai sesudah (posttest) adalah 78. Media boneka tangan efektif digunakan pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia materi menceritakan kembali dilihat dari uji perbedaan rata-rata belajar dengan thitung sebesar3,791 dan ttabel 2,021. Data penghitungan N-gain sebesar 0,43. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini yaitu media boneka tangan layak dan efektif digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia materi menceritakan kembali.Oleh sebab itu peneliti menyarankan agar guru mengembangkan media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang bervariasi agar pemahaman dan keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia siswa dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Media audiovisual lebih menarik dibandingkan hanya menggunakan media audio saja ataupun media visual saja. Jika media pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru menarik, maka siswa akan lebih termotivasi untuk memperhatikan pembelajaran. Tulisan ini mengungkap bagaimana guru Sekolah Dasar Gugus Patimura Kecamatan  Bringin membuat media audiovisual dalam pembelajarannya. Ada 19 guru yang dijadikan objek dalam tulisan ini. Dari observasi awal yang dilakukan pada19 guru tersebut hanya ada 2 yang cukup mahir menggunakan komputer. Penulis melakukan pendampingan dalam pembuatan media audiovisual pada kesembilan belas guru tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dihasilkan 3 media audiovisual yang cukup layak diugunakan dalam pembelajaran. Adanya kegiatan lanjutan perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran

Abstract

Based on earlier observation on 19 July 2010, it found that the quality of science teaching and learning process at Maribaya 1 state primary school was still low. As a result, the students were less active, and they did not respond to science lesson. The teacher was not active enough in teaching and as the impact of all, students’ science achievement was still not good. The subject of the research were all the students of year IV, Maribaya 1 state primary school, Karanganyar Purbalingga. This was a classroom action research with three cycles, and each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The results of the reserach were that the quality of science teaching and learning process improved. The results in details were as follows: (1) during the research process students’ activity improved significantly. At the first cycle the degree of students’ activity was 42.30%, fair qualification; the second cycle was 58.01%, fair qualification; and at the third one was 66.10%, high qualification. The next result was that teacher’s skills in teaching improved. At the first cycle, the teacher got score 27 with good qualification (B), and at the next cycle was 31 with high qualification (A). At the third it improved to be 36, with high qualification (A). The other result of the research were that 71% out of the students responded, 96% students felt happy, 77% students could do presentation, and 81% students looked enthusiastic in learning science. The students got passing grade points 60 at average (33%), at the second cycle, their average point became 6.8 (60%), and at the third one was 71 point at average (75%). Based on the research, it could be concluded that teaching and learning science using inquiry approach could improve students’ activity, teacher’s teaching skills, students; responses, and students’ achievement. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan inovasi pembelajaran dengan mengembangkan media weblog yang berbasis Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) dengan pendekatan critical thinking pada mata kuliah Pendidkan Kewarganegaraan. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi sebagai pendukung dalam mengembangkan media. Weblog sebagai sarana media pembelajaran yang digunakan peneliti dalam inovasi pembelajaran PKn di Perguruan Tinggi.Tempat penelitian yaitu Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Semarang. Subyek penelitiannya yaitu mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah PKn. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian pendidikan dengan pendekatan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian yaitu studi pendahuluan dengan pendekatan kualitatif memetakan capaian pembelajaran lulusan, capaian pembelajaran mata kuliah, dan kemampuan yang diharapkan dalam mata kuliah PKn kemudian memilih salah satu pokok bahasan yang dapat dikembangkan dengan menggunakan media weblog berbasis pendekatan critical thinking. Setelah pokok bahasan ditentukan, kemudian peneliti merancang dan mengembangkan media weblog berbasis pendekatan critical thinking yang akan digunakan dalam perkuliahan. Sebelum diujikan, dilakukan validasi oleh validator yang kompeten di bidangnya. Masukan terkait dengan rancangan media diperbaiki dan kemudian media pembelajaran tersebut diujikan pada kelas treatment. Pengembangan yang dilakukan menunjukkan rancangan media pembelajaran layak untuk dikembangkan dengan melihat uji kelayakan melalui angket validator yang menunjukkan rata-rata 91,57% dalam penilaian produk dengan dilihat dari tiga kriteria dan sepuluh indikator sehingga produk tersebut masuk dalam kategori kelayakan tinggi. Selain itu, dilihat dari peningkatan kefeektifan penggunaan inovasi media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, peningkatan terjadi dari 54, 58% menjadi 89,79 % sehingga secara sederhana dapat dilihat terjadi signifikansi peningkatan 35,21%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran weblog berbasis pendekatan critical thinking tersebut efektif untuk dikembangkan dan digunakan sebagai pendukung dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan.

Abstract

The steps to make sense of the typology of expression drawing works of the children can be initiated by interpreting the characters of the lines, colors, shapes, and the themes or the concept of mind visualized onto certain medium. The characters can be interpreted based on psychological concepts of colors, lines, and shapes so that we can find out the typology of the child’s work. Typology of children’s works based on the types and characters of artworks is closely correlated to the skills and the creativity of a child. The observation on the children’s works were made comprehensively, not only on the end-results, but also including implementation process undertaken gradually, in planned way, and continuously to acquire the illustration of the progress of the students’ learning process. Observation on the expression drawing was aimed at finding out the children’s interests, talents, and skill to respond to the social environment. The observation was made deeply in order to find out the emotional degree and motor skill they have, the children’s interest in colors and shapes, as well as the factors influencing the creation of the expression drawing. The research was made deeply in order to find out the emotional degree and motor skill of the children, their interests in colors and shapes, as well as the factors influencing the expression drawing creation. The research was made by qualitative method through the heuristic approach on the whole population of SDN 02 Wonotirto including the teachers and the students. The study acquired several findings, i.e. students’ expression drawing resulted in SDN 02 Wonotirto manifested into three typologies including haptic, visual, and mixed types and the visual one dominated. Concept of children expression drawing creation was dominated more by external factors acquired from the teachers, students, the social environments and television. The children’s creativity inhibitor is that their ability to respond was limited to the direct responses to the themes around them and they tent to imitate them.
