<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts made by the principal to improve the professional competence of teachers. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects were school principals, vice principals and teachers. The results showed the principal has made a planning program to improve the professional competence of teachers, which gives permission to the teacher to go to college, training provides teaching materials in accordance with the applicable curriculum. Implementation of the program to improve the professional competence of teachers by requiring each subject teachers to make learning device according to the latest curriculum, adjusting the development of teachers handbook, make supervision schedule.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to reveal how the implementation of the existing production Vocational Services Unit (VSU), include: 1) implementation of the VSU to improve the students competence; 2) implementation of the VSU as a means of learning and entrepreneurship, for students and teachers as well as provide operational support school. This study is the evaluation of the CIPP model and Logic models. The study population was a Vocational Technology in DIY and samples taken by purposive sampling, include: SMKN 2 Jetis Yogyakarta; SMKN 2 Depok Sleman; SMKN 2 Kulon Progo and SMKN 2 Wonosari Gunung Kidul. Retrieval and quantitative data collection using questionnaires, while the qualitative data using interviews, in-depth observation and documentation. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive analysis, while qualitative analysis using a model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed bahwaVSU at SMK DIY able to build entrepreneurship in the form of: (a) human resource management and sarpras in school for business activities, (b) the operational contribution that the contribution of electricity costs, maintenance tools wear out, and the addition of supporting tools and the main to practice/production services, (c) add to the welfare of the school community in the form of additional honoraria for implementers, giving holiday allowance for all teachers and employees; (d) establish cooperative relationships with industry.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the competency gap of students: 1) the contract was given to learning komvensional competence, 2) which has the capability of high power electro introduction to low, and 3) the interaction between electrical engineering capabilities with the introduction of learning strategies. The research was conducted in the Department of PTE FT Unimed . The research method is experimental 2x2 factorial design. The study sample comprised 52 people sebayak two treatment classes. The treatments were learning in the form of contractual competence, and learning komvensional. Data analysis is Tekinik Anava two lanes . The results showed that: 1) learning strategies in the form of a contract providing student competence competence better than komvensional learning strategies in introductory electrical engineering course, 2) Students who have the ability to obtain high electro introductory competencies better value when compared to students with low proficiency, 3) An interaction between learning strategy and the introduction of electrical engineering skills in influencing student competence in introductory electrical engineering course .]]>

<![CDATA[This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to find out: how the effectiveness and students response to the problem based learning model in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts and reasoning of students SMA Negeri 2 Binjai. This CAR was conducted in two cycles with stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The method used to apply a model of problem-based learning during the learning processing class. The instrument was used the end of each test cycle I and II, teacher observation sheet, student observation sheets and student questionnaire responses to the implementation f problem based learning. From 32 students there are 28 students (87.50%) stated that students complete individually who scored ⥠76 with an average of 80.56. Value of the class average is 79.25 with the level of exhaustiveness learn classical is planned minimum is 85%. Effectiveness of problem-based learning modelis designed to form small study groups consisting of 5-6 people is very good and effective in improving the understanding of mathematical concepts and reasoning. 87% of students responded positively and fun to the learning process, 91% of students claimed to give them the opportunity to think and 84% found it easier to understand mathematical concepts and develop reasoning through a problem-based learning. ]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the activity and learning outcomes Drawing Basic Technique class X at SMK Negeri 1 Merdeka Berastagi by applying Method Task Giving and recitation. The subjects were students of class X Architecture Engineering Skills program SMK Negeri 1 Berastagi Independent School Year 2012/2013 the number of students as many as 34 people, is a descriptive research method that aims to determine the average student learning outcomes at the time of the study conducted. Average student learning outcomes after the implementation of the method of administration tasks and recitation are increased, which from the first cycle the average value of student learning outcomes 72 increased to 85. So the increase in learning outcomes are achieved is 18.05%. From the results of research which aparted we get conclusion that activities dan result of learning increase with implemetation of the method of administration tasks and recitation. ]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this paper was to determine the indicators that affect the performance of the principal. Efforts to improve the performance of these principals can be done in various ways. One of them is to do a theoretical study of the factors that allegedly associated with these performance factors. Theoretically the factors that affect the performance factors are very numerous and complex. Performance variables studied by analyzing various factors that can influence it. Assessment and analysis of the relationship between variables is discussed to measure the effect of one variable to another variable. These variables are: (1) motivation, (2) organizational commitment, (3) authority, and (4) performance. In this paper discussed how to influence motivation, authority, organizational commitment to the performance of the principal.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of input variables X1 (Wide Land), X2 (Labor Costs), and X3 (Cost Fertilizer) against the benefits of coconut farm in the district Padangsidimpuan Batunadua. The data used are the primary data obtained by direct interview. The study was conducted in October 2011. Analytical model used is the Cobb-Douglas profit function with the help of Eviews v5.1 application.The results showed that simultaneous variables X1, X2, and X3 affect the benefits of coconut farm with F-stat is 1728,765. partially each variable as: X1 shows a positive and significant impact on profits by ilai tcount 53.811 and Prob. Of 0.000., X2 showed positive and significant influence on profits by the value of 21.503 tcount and Prob. Of 0.000., and X3 shows a negative influence to the value of -2.511 tcount and Prob. Of 0.0138. Furthermore, from the obtained values ââfor the regression coefficient of 0.9834 X1 means any addition of land area per ha will increase the gain of 0.9864 rupiah per Ha, X2 of 0.9757 means that any additional labor costs / yields would increase the profit of 0.9575 rupiah and -0.0651 for X3 which means every addition 1 rupiah of fertilizer costs will reduce profits 0,0651 rupiah. From the analysis it can be concluded, that the coconut farm production and profits in Kecataman Padangsidimpuan Batunadua still can be improved by optimizing the use of variable inputs of fertilizer and land.]]>

<![CDATA[This article addresses figures of speech of Ngekhane in Alas wedding ceremony. The data were taken from Ngekhane text recorded in Alas wedding ceremony . The method of the research is descriptive. It gives description about the figures of speech used in Alas wedding ceremony. The findings show that there are seventeen figures of speech but figures of speech used in Alas wedding ceremony only six figures of speech namely simile, merism, repetition, hyperbole, metaphor, meiosis / litotes. From the six figures of speech used in Alas wedding ceremony, merism was dominantly used in Alas wedding ceremony it was indicated that Alas people was very clear and brief in speaking. Suitable with the function of merism was as an addition explanation of the sentence and to clarify the meaning of the sentence. Those figures of speech were reflected Alas culture value namely politeness, friendliness, respect the older, and resoluteness .]]>
