Abstract

Objective: To investigate the perceptions of the priests about prevention of violence against women. Method: This is a descriptive qualitative study, with grounded theory as the research type. Results: The informants had a good understanding of violence, types of violence, the impact of violence, prevention of violence, efforts in preventing violence, and obstacles faced by the priests in preventing violence against women. Conclusion: Priests of GMIM Viadolorosa in Kairagi Dua have good perception and acceptance on violence against women. Keywords: perception, priest, prevention of violence against women

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to get the prespective involve knowledge and attitudes of teachers at SMA Katolik Rex Mundi Manado on prevention of violence against women (VAW). Design: This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection was done by focus group discussion (FGD) and followed with in-depth interview.Tthe location of study was at SMA Katolik Rex Mundi, South Wenang, Manado. There were 11 senior teachers who were the informans. Results: Teacher thinks VAW is an action that cross the line and suffering to women. Most of VAW is intimate partner violence with multifactorial cause. their opinion is teacher has many roles in the prevention of VAW such as setting a good example, shaping student morality up to give little guidances in learning time. Conclusions: Teachers from a range background understand what is VAW, factors associated with VAW and understand what their roles to prevent VAW. They have a positive attitude by showing a critical attitude, caring attitude, take responsibility, and support in efforts to prevent VAW. They have sufficient knowledge and attitude, we recommend them to expand their knowledge on VAW and actively take action in preventing VAW in the schools environment and the community.

Abstract

Domestic violence is one of the many female health problems occur in the Indonesia domestic violence according to the legislation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 2014 is every one's deeds are mainly women, which resulted in the incidence of misery or suffering physical, sexual, psychological, and or deprivation of liberty unlawfully within the household.. The number of cases of domestic violence recorded by the 2015 National Commission on Anti violence against women the National Commission of women mention that as much as 11,207 case in the realm of domestic violence, 60% or 6,725 case in the form of violence against the wife of 24% or 2,734 cases of violence in dating, and 8% or 930 cases of violence against girls. Physical abuse was ranked first with 38% percentage or 4,304 cases, followed by sexual violence 30% or 3,325 cases, violent psychic 23% or 2,607, and economy 9% or 971 cases. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the overview of the knowledge and attitude of high school students in Kakas 1 about domestic violence. This research is descriptive research design. Sources respondents taken from all students in 1st High School Kakas, Minahasa.Keywords: student's knowledge, student's attitude, domestic violence

Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to describe the knowledge and attitudes of elementary school teachers toward the child abuse Design: This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a grounded theory approach using the technique of focus group discussions and in-depth interviews. The location of studywas at SDN (Elementary School) 1 Malalayang, City of Manado Result: Results showed, in general informants know the definition, type, effects, signs and prevention of child abuse. Resources informant comes mostly from education and experience as a teacher. Conclusion. Teachers are inadequatly knowing some aspects of child abuse. The teacher’s attitude focused on prevention, and tend to report cases of child abuse in certain condition. Keywords: Teacher’s knowledge, teacher’s attitude, child abuse

Abstract

Woman is one of the potential resourches owned by Indonesia, whose strength is not only can play a role in filling the development in various areas, but can also bring Indonesia into one of the bigger, powerful, and independent country. Violence against women is already became public attention, because in society that is already built on the principles of rationality, humanism, democracy, the culture of violence is increasing. The importance of knowledge and public awareness about violence against women is needed to prevent the occurrence of the phenomenon of iceberg in the development of that case. This study is aimed to find out the description of knowledge about violence against women and the prevention at GMIM Viadolorosa Manado, during September 2016 untul November 2016. A descriptive study with interviews and focus group discussions methods. The result shows that the informant’ knowledge regarding violence against women affected by observation of the environtment and the mass media (3 of 4 informant) and the knowledge about violence prevention in women affected by the scope of the work. Abstract

Objective: To reveal the overview of knowledge and outlook of teachers from Rex Mundi Catholic Senior High School in Manado about the outcomes of sexual violence against woman.Design: This is a qualitative descriptive research using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to explore the participants knowledge and outlook, and in depth to obtain deep and independent informations about the focused research issue. Location of study was at Rex Mundi Catholic Senior High School in Manado. There were 11 constant teachers of Rex Mundi Catholic Senior High School with the average age of 26 to 58 years old and variety period of teaching experience. All of them were participated in the FGD and seven was picked for the in depth interview.Results: Informants devided the violence against woman in two types: physical and non physical. Knowledge about the variety form of sexual violence was mininal. They claimed that sexual violence is when rape occurs only. Victims are at risk of physical, mental and social impairment. School will perform specific approaches towards students who are victims and perpetrators of sexual violence. Conclusion: The research shows that the informants already had sufficient knowledge about violence against woman in general, but still have lack of knowledge about the sexual violence in particular. However, informants reveal critical outlook about teachers role in screening for sexual violence victims among students. On the other hand, the school s role in overcoming the outcomes of sexual abuse against students is limited by the school s regulations.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine the attitude of the teachers in the intervention of physical activity and dietary interventions on obesity in elementary school students. Methods: This study used a mixed methods research type of research that combines quantitative and qualitative. Results and Conclusion: The results showed that the informant Knowledge is still lacking because the informant did not fully understand the definition of obesity, the characteristics of children who are obese and the impact of obesity on the health of children. Abstract

Objective: To describe the behavior of the female students of the medical Faculty of Sam Ratulangi University (UNSRAT) against the violence . Methods: This research used the descriptive qualitative method with two focus group discussion (FGD) consisted of 13 people with six people for formal interview. Results: This research shows that the student has an excellent knowledge against women violations and a good attitude against them. Abstract

Objective: The Mass Media plays an important role in conveying the information either through the electronic media as well as print media, this research aims to find out how the knowledge and attitude of the employees of PT Wenang Cemerlang Press against domestic violence.Methods: This research is a descriptive qualitative research with cross sectional design research. With the Focus Group discussion using a purposive sampling, and in-depth interview technique, which consists of 10 informant and the informant's 10 taken 5 informant to do in-depth interviews.Results: The informants agree that men are very instrumental in absorbing the acts of domestic violence.Conclusion: Overall knowledge of employees and attitude of PT Wenang Cemerlang Press about domestic violence already is quite good because it can explain the definition, form, and domestic violence.Keyword: knowledge, attitudes, employee, domestic violence

Abstract

Visum et Repertum is the result of doctor's examination, about what he saw, what the discovery, and what he heard, with regard to the injured person, their health impaired person, and the death of person. Theoretically, child abuse is defined as treatment of physical, mental, or sexual commonly done by those who have responsibility for child welfare. The purpose of this study to describe the results of Visum et Repertum about child abuse in Bhayangkara hospital Manado period July 2015 to June 2016. This type of research is descriptive implemented. Results of the study were obtained from 112 cases the victims are most commonly found in adolescents aged 14 years to 17 years as many as 68 cases. More violence experienced by women as many as 107 cases, in males only occurs as much as 5 cases. Sexual violence experienced by children during a period of 1 year were 100 cases and the total of  physical violence were 12 cases. For a place that is often incident on the incidence of child abuse are Polresta Manado as many as 95 cases. This study proves that the results of Visum et Repertum can be found any physical or sexual abuse in childrenKeywords: Visum et Repertum, child abuse.
