Abstract

Based on Global Tuberculosis Control WHO 2012, Indonesia went up from fifth to forth rank after India, China, and South Africa, obviously problem within restraint of Tuberculosis has increased. On 2008 North Sulawesi classified Pulmonary TB diseases as the top 10 infectious diseases with a prominent number of 1,571 cases. Manado City on 2012 Pulmonary Tuberculosis with BTA positive number was 1.645 cases. Basically, this condition exhibit an efforts development of healthy in order to improve risk factors for Pulmonary TB until now has not been entirely successful. The type of this research is cross sectional that purpose to know risk of factors (age, gender, education, employment, level of income, knowledge and the side effects of anti-tuberculosis drugs related with obedience of treatment pa-tients with Pulmonary Tuberculosis in five health centers in the city of Manado. There were 171 samples taken from a total population of 119 people. Data obtained from direct interviews using questionnaires. The statistical test used was Chi square. The result of research indicates that the variable, which relates with treatment compliance of TB pa-tient, is education. (p=0,000) and knowledge (p=0,000). Variable that are not related to obedience of treatment TB patients are age, gender, education, occupation, level of income and side effect OAT (p=0,05).Keywords: Clean and Health Behaviour, Knowledge, Attitude and Behaviour

Abstract

Coroner Heart Diseases (CHD) is one of the main cause of death in many countries, also is the number one cause ofdeath in Indonesia.The high number of CHD in Indonesia goes in line with the high consumption of saturated fattyacid from eating habit. The aim of this research is to picture the eating habit of Minahasa Ethnic, and CHD case atLingkungan 5 Kelurahan Paal 2 Manado. Descriptive research is the method of this research. The population that wasused is all Householders or Housewifes at Lingkungan 5 which are more than 40 years old as much as 355 householders,with 72 householders samples. Result of the research shows 5 kinds of food with the most frequency of beingeaten which are Kangkung Tumis (68,1%), Sayur Pait Ba (25%), Ayam Santan / Kari (20,8%), Brenebon Babi(20,8%), Babi Kecap (19,4), and 5 kinds of food with low frequency of being consumed, which are Paniki (98,6%),Babi Putar (98,6%), Tina’i/Usus Babi (98,6%), Tikus (98,6%), Babi Hutan (98,6%), and 2,8% cases of CHD in Lingkungan5. Conclusion: there were 5 types of frequently consumed food by community in Lingkungan 5 Paal 2 VillageManado City, which were Sayur Kangkung Tumis, Sayur Pait Ba, Ayam Santan/Kari, Brenebon Babi, Babi Kecap, and 5types of rarely consumed food were Paniki, Babi Putar, Tina’i/Usus Babi, Tikus dan Babi Hutan, and history of CHD2.8%, history of CHD in family were 6.9%, history of Diabetes Mellitus 8.3%, and 25% had history of Hypertension,Hyperuricemia, and Dyslipidemia.Keywords: Eating Habits, Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract

Patient satisfaction for health care is a level of someone’s feeling after comparing the result of the service they get with their expectation.. Patient satisfaction provides information whether success or not of health care is. Universal Coverage is a free health care program for Manado citizens. Tuminting community health center is a health center that has most listed people in Universal Coverage Program. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of pa-tients satisfaction for health care in Tuminting community health center judges from reliability, responsiveness, as-surance, empathy, tangible and patient overall satisfaction. This is a descriptive research. Samples are collected using purposive sampling technique with sample size as much as 106 Universal Coverage patient who came to Tuminting community health center for medical treatment from October to November 2013. The results shows that 50,9% pa-tients are satisfied with reliability, 54,7% patients are satisfied with responsiveness, 77,4% patients are satisfied with assurance, 55,7% patients are satisfied with empathy, And 66% patients are satisfied with tangible. The overall Uni-versal Coverage patient satisfaction rate for health care is 51,9%. Based on this result, it can be concluded that the health care given by Tuminting community health center to Universal Coverage patient goes along with the order that satisfies patient the most is asssurance, tangibles, empathy, responsiveness, and reliability.Keywords: Satisfaction, health care, Universal Coverage

Abstract

Tuberculosis and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are two issues of public health which has become concern inthe world. HIV related stigma is a major barrier to treatment. Many cases of AIDS have been found compered hiv positiveraised the question how is hiv services in manado city. This study aims to determine the correlation betweencharacteristic, knowledge with stigma of health care workers about tuberculosis-human immunodeficiency virus coinfectionsin Manado city. The method of this research is analytical with cross-sectional design was conducted at fiveclinic of Manado city. Ninety seven health care workers were included in this study and they were selected proportion.Bivariat analysis (chi-square) was used to identify the correlations between characteristic, knowledge with stigmatizedattitudes. The result of research indicates that the level of stigmatized attitudes was high. Chi-square testshowed a correlation (p<0,05) between characteristic based on age with stigmatized attitudes, characteristic based onjob with stigmatized attitudes, characteristic based on years of experience with stigmatized attitudes, and knowledgewith stigmatized attitudes. Conclusion: There are a correlation between characteristic based on age, job, years of experienceand knowledge with stigmatized attitudes.Keywords: Characteristic, knowledge, stigma, health care workers, TB-HIV co-infection.

Abstract

Water is a basic human need which is used as an instrument of human survival. Water used for drinking, preparing food, cleaning the body and household items, as well as the management of the environment. The use of water have an effect on public health because water source contaminated lot. This research was conducted to find out the descrip-tion of the usage of clean water in Malalayang 1 sub-district society. As for the research use descriptive method using the methods of the survey. The sample used was 100 respondents using proportional random sampling method from 2412 head family in Malalayang 1 sub – disctrict society. Data is processed based on the presentation of the respond-ent's answer. Results of the study found that users of PT.Air 64% have the physical state of water does not taste and smell and 72% have clear water. For users of the well pump is 17.3% have < 10 meters of distance of the well pump and pit latrines / garbage. So in the use of public water PT.Air 52% use water to wash clothes and equipment and the community who use the well pump 61,3% use water for hygiene (shower, brush your teeth).Keywords: the use of water, PT.Air, pump well

Abstract

Impact of globalization and technological development are two possible causes for the shift in the lifestyle of students. Confirms previous findings that lifestyle affects one's eating habits. Lifestyle and eating habits identified a factor that affects the occurrence of the gastritis. Through lifestyle changes such as diet and diet often consume fast food and spicy, not eating or delay, lack of physical activity, alcohol consumption, use of tobacco, drugs, stress and infection Helicobacter py-lori affects the stomach lining, causing the gastritis. The current study was conducted to analyze the relationship between eating habits with the gastritis at the medical faculty level of student 2010 Sam Ratulangi University Manado. This research is an analytical cross - sectional studies design. Sample pieces in this research were 74 student respondents were already included in the criteria. Results showed that the majority of respondents (58.1%) had a high meal frequency (≥ 3 times a day), the majority of respondents (64.9%) consume large amounts of food (> 1 scoop rice), the next 51.4% re-spondents were in the category of frequently consumed foods and beverages are not irritating. Results of Chi - Square showed that there was no significant association between the frequency of eating with the gastritis (p = 0.177), there was no significant relationship between the meal portion with the gastritis (p = 0.854), there was no significant relationship between the type of food and beverages with the gastritis (p = 0.010). There is no relationship between the frequency of eating with the gastritis. There is no relationship between the meal portion with the gastritis. Abstract

Health is an important aspect in human’s life as well as a right for every human being. Many things need to be considered to increase the public’s health, one of them is to organize health service. Hospital is one of the health service. As a public service, a hospital is consist of many facilities and infrastructures such as medical instruments and health workers. He-modialysis is one of hospital’s service for chronic disease. Evaluation in hemodialysis unit in Virgin de los Lirios Hospital showed that there was 16,7% death of hemodialysis patient on 2005-2008. In United States, hemodialysis patient’s death was 23% each year and it was the highest in worldwide. In 2011, Indonesia had 15.353 patients, and in 2012 the number were increase to 19.621 patients. Chronic kidney disease prevalence in Indonesia on 2012 according to National Hospital Data & Information Center, the number of chronic kidney disease’s client is about 50 persons every one million popula-tion. The purpose of this study was to analyze relation between service quality (reliability, responsiveness, assurance, attention, tangibles) with satisfaction level of Jamkesmas patient in hemodialysis installation. This study was analytical study with cross sectional method. Sample in this study were 31 Jamkesmas hemodialysis patient as respondent. Fisher Exact test result shows that there is significant relation between health service quality in reliability category with Jamkesmas patient satisfaction level (p=0,04) and there is significant relation between health service quality in respon-siveness category with Jamkesmas patient satisfactionn level (p=0,001).Keywords: service quality, patient satisfaction, Jamkesmas, hemodialysis

Abstract

Obesity is one of the taxing healthy problems, therefore prevention and treatment become priority in health field. Thetreatment intervention is referred to weight decreasing. The most nutrient problem for adult above 18 years old is overweightand obese. Obesity prevalency is dominated by woman as big as 26,9%. At Wawonasa Public Healthy Centre study2013, showed that 41,6% respondents are included in obese nutrient status.The research aims to analyze the weight decreasingeffort for productive women in Wawonasa, Singkil Manado, Public Health Centre. This research uses QualitativeMethod and it is hold in Wawonasa Singkil Manado Public Health Centre on November 2013 up to January 2014. The informantaking uses Purposive Sampling and it is obtained 10 informans who give a deep interview. The data analysis usescontent analysis and triangulation technique (source and method) to make analysis be valid. The productive women inWawonasa Singkil Manado public healthy Centre realize the effect of obesity and do some efforts of weight decreation bydoing exercise or sport, decreasing of food portion and its frequency, consuming diet product, fasting and smoking. Abstract

HIV/AIDS are the most destructive pandemic in the history, it kills more than 25 million people since found in 1981.At the end of the year 2007, estimated 33,2 (30,6-36,1) million adults and kids lives with HIV world wide. In the earlyof 1981 United States of America reported that this infectious disease spread through out unsafe sexual intercourseand constantly changing in sexual partner. In 1982-1983 they found that this infectious disease transmitted not onlyby unsafe sexual intercourse and constantly changing in sexual partner but also through blood transfusions injectionamong injecting drug users together by IUDs. In North Sulawesi there has been 18 cases and 9 death cases in 1991 to2010. In North Sulawesi there is at least 275 people that are infected with HIV and 483 people that are positive withAIDS. Over all total of people that are infected by this deadly transmitted infectious disease are around 758 people andit could increase over time because of the people’s adapting the Heterosexual behavior which is constantly changingin sexual partner and by using blood transfusions injection among injecting drug users together by IUDs. The mainpurpose of this research is to measure the knowledge level and how the high school students react on preventing theHIV/AIDS spread in Manado International School. This research are using Cross-Sectional method. Sample of this researchare taken in Manado International School grade 10 and 11 of high school stundents. The results of this researchshows that some of the respondent knowledge were good on how to prevent HIV/AIDS with 84 respondent (70%)and some of respondent attitude shows a positive sign on how to prevent this viruses with 77 respondent (64,2%0.The advice that can be given is that the students were able to open their mind on how deadly this HIV/AIDS is so thatthe student could know how to prevent it and hoping that the parents can intervene the student social life to stop thisviruses from spreading.Keywords: Relationships of knowledge, attitude and preventive measures, students, HIV/AIDS

Abstract

Dengue Hemoraic Fever is a one of the problem in Indonesia society and it’s patients are always increase and widen.Dengue Hemoragic Fever is also a disease caused base on enviroment. One of the factor of high mortality and morbilityrate are sociaty attitudes and its increased the risk of Dengue Hemoragic Fever spreading. Purpose : To find out therelation between knowleadge and attitude about Dengue Hemoragic Fever with vector preventive act in distric 1 westMalalayang Manado. Metode of the research The research was held from November-Desember 2013. The methode ofthe reseach is analytic desriptive with cross sectional design. The simple are sociaty who lived in district 1 west Malalayangand the number of sample are 100 person. The data analyst with univariate and bivariate and the statistic testare chi square. Result of the research : A part of the responden have a good knowledge about Dengue Hemoragic Feverdisease (96%), good attitude (98%) and Dengue Hemoragic Fever vector preventive act (99%). p value = 0,042 got bychi square test which means the are ralation between knowledge and attitude of vector preventive, and also p value =0,021 god by chi square which means the are significant relation between attitude and act. Conclution : There are betweenknowledge of Dengue Hemoragic Fever and vevtor prevention act and significant relation between DengueHemoragic Fever disease and vector preventive act.Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Act, Vector, Dengue Hemoragic Fever Disease, Distric 1 West Malalayang Manado
