Jurnal Manajemen Agribisnis (JMA) merupakan jurnal ilmiah, memiliki konsentrasi fokus pada Pengelolaan Pertanian Agribisnis dan Kawasan Pertanian yang Berkelanjutan serta mengacu pada terminologi “Sustainable Development Goals.” Sustainable Development Goals sangat dibutuhkan dalam manajemen agribisnis sebagai sarana untuk membentuk perencanaan agribisnis yang terstruktur dan terorganisasi dengan baik. Melalui konsentrasi fokus tersebut, dapat dipahami bahwa perencanaan sangat vital dalam bisnis pertanian mengingat sifatnya yang penuh ketidakpastian dan rentan risiko kerugian, sehingga memerlukan analisis dan sintesis ilmu multidisiplin untuk menjelaskan fakta empiris dimensi sosial, ekonomi, manajemen, dan kelembagaan dalam suatu perusahaan atau kawasan pertanian.

Abstract

Branding becomes inevitable in sales promotion strategy of products and services in the era of globalization. However, the difficult challenge of agricultural products branding related to standardization because it involves a biological process that can not be fully controlled. Moreover, if the intended target market is specific to the tourism market.This paper discusses branding strategy used by agribusiness company PT. Hatten Bali in promoting wine processed "Hatten Wines" for the tourism market in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations technique and were analyzed by descriptive qualitative method. PT. Hatten Bali uses three strategies of branding ot its wines pruducts, namely: (1) producer branding (Hatten Wines Aga White, Hatten Wines Aga Red, Hatten Wines Alexandria, Hatten Wines Rose, Hatten Wines Sparkling Tunjung, and Hatten Wines Sparkling Jepun), (2) retail branding (Dragonfly Moscato and Two Island), and (3) geographical branding (Pino de Bali and Dewi Sri). All three branding strategies have differences in agricultural raw material processed, the target market, and typology of use in order to meet the company's sales target. Branding strategy proved to be applicable and effective used in processed agricultural products sales promotion strategies just like used in manufacturing products and other services. Agribusiness entrepreneurs should consider the use of branding in sales promotion to better compete with competitors.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Tri Hita Karana has becomes the foundation of development in the Province of Bali, its reflected in the vision of the development in the Province of Bali in 2006-2026 "Bali Dwipa Jaya, Fair, and Democratic, and Safe and Unified". Tri Hita Karana has becomes the foundation of development in Bali, the Tri Hita Karana must be applied to various community activities such as politics, economics, socials, defenses, and securities. Satria Agrowisata has application the Tri Hita Karana concept. The research aimed to analyzed the suitability between expectations and realities on the application of Tri Hita Karana at Satria Agrowisata, to analyzed the connection of application of Tri Hita Karana with management of Satria Agrowisata, and to analyzed satisfied visitors of Satria Agrowisata toward agrotourism activities with Tri Hita Karana application. Data of this research were used qualitative and quantitative. The research location is in Satria Agrowisata was chosen by purposive. The researchs were used two types of sampling methode such as census sampling and accidental sampling. Collection of data in the research were used several methods such as observations, interviews, and documentations. To analyzed the data, the research were used descriptive qualitative analysis method and Rank Spearman correlation. The results of the researchs were show the suitability between expectations and realities on the application of Tri Hita Karana at Satria Agrowisata is very suitable. The connection between Tri Hita Karana and management in agrotourism is very weak. Visitors of Satria Agrowisata were very satisfied with agrotourism activities in Satria Agrowisata which Tri Hita Karana application. The suggestions are to continue the application of Tri Hita Karana in activities agrotourism, to improve the connection between the application of Tri Hita Karana and management at the Agrotourism, and Satria Agrowisata needs to improve the quality of their service and add varieties of drinks and foods.

Abstract

Transmigration Settlement Unit (UPT) Kolikapa Maukaro District Ende Regency of East Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the residential units are still relatively new and has not carried out the needs assesment. Today developed the concept of a needs analysis based on the potential to be developed in transmigration sites on the basis of dreams and potentials (Strength Based Solving). Based on this concept, people are asked to choose the skills based on the needs. So we get the training priority list, agenda development, and to support programs and regional development, social innovation is required. In turn in the future could increase the income of citizens. Based on the results of research using fast-research, in-depth interviews, direct observation and analysis of the results of the workshop, the obtained results of the type of training required (Training Needs/TN) is a health cadres, intensification yards, cultivation of horticultural crops, cultivation of poultry, small livestock, livestock large, community development and empowerment, agricultural processing cocoa, business groups, management of water and environmental health, handicrafts and weaving ikat, and entrepreneurship. Results of development needs (Development Needs/DN) are obtained, namely the rebuilding of the bridge connecting the village with the districts, additions and repairs piping clean water, seek electrical installation as a supporting ease the spread of information. In addition to the type of training and development agenda needs results obtained are also social innovation, which is building a village barn to control the current low price of rice harvest, to make regulations to control the village agricultural land conversion, coordinate with related agencies in community development. The present study included a suggestion to the motivator nongovernmental organizations to continue exploring the science, especially concerning the needs assesment. Results of assesments are appreciative requirement that can be used as a basis for community mobilization and also for the construction of the target communities. To the policy makers in handling the training community, they can continue to refine the search needs as the basis for the convening of community empowerment. Ensuring the availability of funds, resources, and supporting infrastructure needs of search activity.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Consumer awareness on food safety and organic product consumption has open up an opportunity for producers of organic products. The Somya Pertiwi Farmer Group is one of the organic rice cultivator that has been certified by LeSos. The purpose of this study is to analyze the flow of actors, products, financial, and information, as well as the distribution of value added in the value chain of organic rice agribusiness produce by Somya Pertiwi. This research was conducted along the value chain using forward and backward approach from the focus point of the research which is the Somya Pertiwi Farmer Group. The research shows that the actors’ flow devided by main and supporting actors. The product flows from upstream to downstream shows the transformation of 43,900 kg of dried organic red rice grain become 20,852 kg of organic red rice and 76,700 kg of dry organic white rice grain become 36,432 kg of organic white rice. The flow of information moves both from upstream, downstream, as well as from supporting institutions such as the Somya Pertiwi Farmer Group, LeSos, and also the Internal Control System. The most balanced value-added distribution is in the organic red rice value chain through UD Sari Bulan Utama with 41%-46% added value at the farmer level, 20%-23% at the processing unit, 19%-22% at the wholesaler level, and 9%-19% at the reseller level. Increase in the percentage of sales at the farmer level to increase farmers’ income. Processing unit can increase organic white rice value added by increasing the retail price. Government need to establish supervision at the wholesaler and retailer level.

Abstract

Badung regency in addition to having the potential of tourism development which is already known to the world also has the potential in the agricultural sector, which is the potential to develop agricultural product processing business of the sticky rice into jajan begina. There are round and rectangular jajan begina; generally, it is made between 7-12 cm diameters with red circle on the middle. Jaje begina is always used by Hindu people in every ceremony or religious activitiy for the offering, which believed to having the yang diyakini memiliki philosophical meaning of the universe-respect. The business development of jajan begina is held by PKK women by forming a business group which is “Jempiring” group, located in Banjar Tengah, Blahkiuh village, Abiansemal district, Badung regency with the membership of 18. Average business revenue in 2015 from January to June amounted Rp 198.646.000,00. Agribusiness Development Prospect of Jajan Begine seen from the ratio of profitability during the month of March 2015 has good prospects in which the ability to make a profit of 73.92%. The ability to repay the debt, short term and long term, is highly liquid in the amount of 3.160%. It shows that the agribusiness which is developed by the member of “Jempiring” business group of UP3HP is highly potential to be developed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The maximum production can be achieved if using optimum inputs. Production efficiency is influenced by the use of production inputs. The purpose of this research was to examin;: (1) the effect of production factors of jahe gajah; (2) inefficiency and efficiency factor of jahe gajah; (3) farmer's income in jahe gajah farming; and (4) constraints faced in Jahe Gajah production. The research method uses quantitative descriptive methods. The number of samples in this is researc were 66 people determined by the Simple Random Sampling technique. Production efficiency was analyzed using the Stochastic Frontier production function with the Frontier 4.1c program and farmer’s income was analyzed using R/C ratio. The results of the research indicate that; (1) land area variables affect production; (2) education, experience, counseling dummy variables influence production, while jahe gajah farm is stated to be technically efficient with an average value of 0.910, but not yet allocatively efficient with an average value of 0.668 and not economically efficient with average values of 0.599; (3) the jahe gajah farm has profit R/C ratio 1,7; (4) constraints faced by jahe gajah farmers there is no standards price, difficulty in obtaining market access, and rhizome rotten disease.

Abstract

Bone Regency has great potential as a pioneer of hybrid specialty corn seed producers in eastern Indonesia. This potential is a regional advantage that will increasingly develop utilizing natural resources and the environment in accordance with the conditions of corn farming. Corn is a food crop commodity that has a role in the development of Indonesia's agricultural economy which has a commodity of maize having multipurpose functions (4F), namely for food (food), feed (feed), fuel (fuel), and industrial raw materials (fiber) . Therefore, to achieve this situation, information is needed related to regional development planning so that it is expected to create sustainable agricultural development. The purpose of this study is to provide spatial data for locations that are suitable for corn plant development planning and information on strategies for increasing corn crop yield. The specific objectives of the study are: 1. Analyzing the suitability of the land with the carrying capacity of the land (the ability of the kahan) to plan the development of corn plants. 2. Creating a Strategy to Increase Production Results. The method used in this research is land carrying capacity and descriptive. The research locations were Ajangale District, Amali District and Dua Boccoe District Bone Regency. The results of this study, there are 42 villages that are suitable for the development of maize plants that are presented in land suitability based on land carrying capacity and Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW). Strategy to increase yields of maize production by piloting a Farmer-based Corporation project.

Abstract

Activities related to international and national meetings in Bali require cut flowers and their arrangements as a means of decoration and so on. Bali only produces a few types of cut flowers so it is supplied by cut flowers from outside Bali. This study aims to analyze the performance of cut flower supply chains in Denpasar City. The study was conducted in Denpasar with a descriptive qualitative approach. Determination of respondents using the snowball method with a total of 53 people consisting of farmers, suppliers, distributors, retailers and cut flower consumers. The results showed that the four types of cut flowers that dominated the cut flower market in Denpasar were roses, chrysanthemums, peacock and savory night. There were four large distributors who distribute cut flowers to 76 retailers in Denpasar City. Cut flowers from regions in West Java and East Java are sent every day. When payment can be made in cash which is directly paid on the spot, with credit or by transfer using mobile banking. Supply chain performance can be seen from the farmer's share ranges from 30% - 45% of the retailer's price. Which has the lowest share of farmer’s share was nightly flowers (30%) followed by roses (35%) then pikok flowers (36%) and the highest was chrysanthemums (45%). Share prices at the supplier level ranges from 40% - 65% of the retail price and at the distributor level ranges from 50% - 80% of the retail price. Revenue and cost ratios are dominated by retailers with a range between 4.71 - 10.76. Each member of the marketing agency performs different marketing functions depending on the needs including: product transportation, sorting and grading, packaging, packaing, transportation and distribution. Herewith the costs incurred have an impact on the prices received by end consumers. The concentration ratio (CR 4) at the retail level is 42.17 or belongs to a weak oligopoly market structure. Abstract

In the process of disseminating technological innovation, there is still an information gap between providers of technological innovation, namely the Agricultural Research Agency and regional agricultural stakeholders and farmers. Agricultural Research and Development Agency has produced many agricultural technological innovations, one of which is technological innovation to overcome obstacles in the cultivation of chili is the Integrated Crop Management (PTT) Chili technology. One way to overcome the problem of inaction in the application of technological innovations produced is one of them is an applied review activity targeting Agricultural Extension Workers in the regions. This study aims to: determine the increase in knowledge and attitudes of Agricultural Instructors in PTT Cabai Rawit technology through applied study activities. The study was conducted at the Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) of Banjarangkan District, Klungkung Regency with a survey method of 20 agricultural extension respondents using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the study show that: Applied Study Activities have an impact on changes in knowledge and attitudes of agricultural instructors in PTT Chili technology, namely the knowledge of Agricultural Instructors has changed from an average score of 2.04 (medium knowledge) to an average score of 2.89 (high knowledge) and attitudes of farmers from an average score of 2.31 (doubtful attitude) to an average score of 2.81 (agreeing attitude).

Abstract

The waste problem is not only related to the production and its transportation, but also concerning the sorting of organic and non-organic types. Temesi landfills in Gianyar Regency through the Yayasan Pemilahan Sampah Temesi (YPST) has a waste sorting activity to be used as a more economical product, namely compost fertilizer "Temesi Organik". The organic fertilizers usage in Bali Province in the last five years (2013-2017) has always been with an average of 28,897 tons. This potential will be a marketing opportunity for organic fertilizer producers in Bali Province. But YPST facing a problem lack of good planning in terms of product marketing. The purpose of this study was to analyze internal and external factors, formulate alternative strategies, and determine the priority strategies in developing marketing of compost fertilizer "Temesi Organik". Data analysis methods used are SWOT and AHP analysis. The results of the study based on the SWOT analysis obtained six alternative strategies namely improving product quality to maintain customer loyalty and the synergy of government policies, maintaining product continuity to reach the organic fertilizers market potential, maintaining the legality of organic certification, expanding market networks by utilizing social media and word of mouth marketing methods, complementing facilities and production infrastructure in composting, and improving the quality of human resources to produce products with a strong bargaining position. Based on AHP analysis obtained the main priority of six alternative strategies is to expand the market network by utilizing social media and the word of mouth marketing method.
