Abstract

This research aims to find out: the physical shape, development history, meaning and effect of keris.This research used ethnographic method, and it belonged to a case study. The population was the Surakarta’s society, while the sample is people considered as knowledgeable and who can be consulted with about the meaning and effect of keris. Technique of sampling used was purposive sampling. The data was collected using interview, observation, and literary study. The data analysis was conducted using interaction analysis, that is, through data collection, reduction, and conclusion drawing.From the result of research, it can be concluded that there are various types of keris, each of them having different name. Each keris is divided into several parts. In pakem it is mentioned about the keris luster, bringing good or bad effect into the owner. Keris had been known along time ago by Indonesian since they knew iron, and had been achieving the current progress since Majapahit time. Keris has a deep meaning for Javanese society. Because they believe that keris, particularly the one made in ancient time, has magical power. The keris, that is initially an arm, in its development has a complex function: as an arm, symbol, equipment, and art object. Keris affects various aspects of life, such as sosial-cultural, economical and faith.

Abstract

Buying and selling shares in the capital market is one method to overcomeproblems of liquidity and as a means of investment for those who have excessfunds. Investment in capital markets is one of high liquidity category investments andconvertible (easily converted) so it is important for issuers to consider the interests ofcapital owners that is to maximize firm value.This study intended to determine how the value of Economic Value Added(EVA), Market Value Added (MVA), operating cash flow and stock return and theinfluence of EVA, MVA and operating cash flow on stock return in 33 companies LQ-45index period of August 2009-January 2010 at the BEI. As for investors can be used asrecommendation for investment.The results indicate that the companies have value of positive and negative EVA,positive and negative MVA, all positive operating cash flow, and positive, 0, andnegative stock returns. From the regression equation, EVA has a regression coefficientvalue 0.122, the regression coefficient of MVA has value – 0.227, and the regressioncoefficient of operating cash flow has value 0.221. Test results show that the value ofEVA, MVA, and operating cash flow have no effect significantly on stock returns. This isdue to the absence of capital market efficiency over the stock price, that investors havenot fully use the available information to analyze a particular companys stock. Thusstock prices that occurred, did not reflect actual corporate performance.

Abstract

E.S. Ardinarto, Sekaten is a Custom Ceremony Having Nuance of Religious.This research aim to: 1) Know the meaning os Sekaten Ceremony, 2) Nuance exists in Sekaten, 3) Since when Sekaten Ceremony started, 4) execution procedures of Sekaten Ceremony, 5) to know whether Sekaten Ceremony is a way of spreading Religion of Islam. Method used in this research is a qualitative anthropologic method that is descriptive analytic or constructing culture view. Strategy used in this research has been specified first before going into research location. Research location in Keraton Surakarta dan its surrounding, since those still conducting Sekaten Ceremony is those who live in Keraton Surakarta and Keraton Yogayakarta only. Data source obtained from informants that are keraton’s consanguinity who know exactly about Sekaten Ceremony, while techniques of gathering data are interview and direct observation but passive. Conclusions obtained are: 1) Sekaten Ceremony is a ceremony conducted only in keratin/ king, 2) Sekaten Ceremony is a combination ceremony between culture and religion, 3) Sekaten aims to express thanks of the king to the God who gave safety to keratin, 4) Sekaten Ceremony as a cultural heritage of ancestors having religious nuance.

Abstract

The main purpose of the study is to examine the effect of the teacher?s experiences and competencies in teaching on the students? understanding of Indonesian Nasional Historical Facts. In specific, the purposes of the study are to examine: (1) the differences of the effect of teacher?s experiences in history teaching who had high level competencies from those having the medium and the lower ones on students? understanding of Indonesian National Historical Facts; (2) the differences of the effect of teacher?s experiences in history teaching who had the high level the competencies from those having the medium and the lower ones; and (3) the interaction of the effect of the history teachers? experiences and competencies towards the Students? understanding of Indonesian National Historical Facts.The method of this Study is an ex post facto one using 3x3 factorial design. The population of the Study were 2229 male and female students of the quarter 2 of the second grade akademic year of the State Senior High Schools Sukoharjo. The sample for the study included 560 students which were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The results of the study are: (1) there is a significant effect difference of the history teacher?s teaching competencies on the students? understanding of Indonesian National Historical Facts; the obtained FOJ is 5,3 which is higher than F.(0.95:2,55)= 3.00 on the significance level 0,05; (2) there is a different effect of the history teacher?s teaching experiences on the students? understanding of the Indonesian National Historical Facts; the obtained FoG= 42,3 which is higher than F(0,95:2.55) = 3,0. significance level 0.05; and (3) there is a significant interaction between the history teacher?s teaching experiences and their teaching competencies on the students? understanding of the Indonesian National Historical Facts; the obtained FoJ is 26,1 which higher than F.(0.95-4,551) = 2,37., at the significance level of 0.05.

Abstract

Higher education curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the contentand study materials and lessons and ways of delivery and assessment are used to guide theteaching-learning activities in college. The curriculum is a program developed andimplemented to achieve an educational goal. So the curriculum can mean a program in theform of documents and program implementation. As a curriculum document (curriculumplan) was prepared in the form of details of the course, syllabus, learning design, systemevaluation of success. Moderate curriculum as an implementation program is a form oflearning, which obviously made (actual curriculum). The reason there are changes in the curriculum of internal and external factors. The steps penysunan curriculum are the following: (1) preparation of a graduate profile, ie the expected roles and functions can be run by graduates of the future in the community, (2)determination of competency based on the profile of graduates, (3) Determination of material related to the field study science and technology courses, (4) Determination of the depth and breadth of the study (credits) are done by analyzing the relationship between competence and the required study materials, (5) Combine the various study materials into courses, (6)Develop curriculum structure by means of distributing the course of the semester, (7) Develop a Learning Plan, and simultaneously (8)selecting appropriate learning method to achieve competence. Curriculum development has broad sense, which includes planning, implementation and evaluation. Curriculum designers can follow the advice in the Book of Common Prayer in which its adherents are required to "hold fast to what is good".

Abstract

Research purposes are : (1) To describe civics learning process improvement withsociodrama method (2) To describe civics learning result improvement with sociodramamethod. Research location is in X class, 2nd term at SMK 4 Surakarta. This research isclass action research (PTK). Collecting data research has done by using method,observation, learning result and interview. Data analysis through three steps are: datareduction, data presentation, and conclusion/ verification. This in an active researchwith a PTK design. Research results are (1) improving student learning process quality pre cycle as 28%. Speech learning method is not giving support for student in study and learning process yet. Low student learning process quality in pre cycle because student boring of listening to the speech. Learning process quality in 1 cycle has improved as 16%, which enthusiasm student average pre cycle as 10 students (28%) in 1 cycle enthusiasmstudent average pre cycle as 16 students (44%). In sociodrama method learningprocess, student becomes more enthusiasm, because they are involved in learningprocess. Learning process quality improvement in 2 cycle as 19%. This improvementcaused by teacher managed time efficiently, praise and punishment in education andaddition mark for student can display drama well. (2) Civics learning result qualityimprovement in pre cycle includes average value as 7,4 and completeness as 16students (44%). Low value in pre cycle activity caused by low student spirit. 1 cyclelearning result improvement caused by higher spirit in study and learning process byusing sociodrama compare to speech method. 2 cycle improvement showed by averagevalue as 8,6 and completeness as 35 students (97%). It is caused by minimumcompleteness criteria (KKM) and spirit learning has been reach.

Abstract

E-learning has become one of education trends that can increase the learning quality. But to be able to get its benefit, students and lecturers attitudes should show proper attitude toward the e-learning.This research aims to know the description of Social Sciences Education Depatment students of Teachers Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University perceptions toward the use of e-learning to increase the learning quality and to probe the future development should be made to increase its acceptance. Using descriptive quatitative analysis toward 129 students, the research shows that the learning activities were still not optimum, showed by only few subjects that had already implemented the e-learning. The research also showed that students perceived that the infrastructures and facilities had suitable enough. In boosting the use of e-learning in the future, students perceived that the proper trainings and simplicity to use the e-learning will attract the future use of this elearning.

Abstract

Relation of among head with its employees, representing interdependence relation which is generally uneven. Employees of generally more depend on head than on the contrary. In course of interaction that happened among head and employees take place the process influencing each other whereabout head cope to influence its employees so that behavioral as according to its expectation, this Interaction pattern determine degree of efficacy in its leadership. Leadership theory of related to this that is leadership of transformational and transactional developed by Bass and Avilio (1994).In order to knowing whether/what manifestly there are influence from leadership of transformational and leadership of transactional to commitmen work and also its impact at employees performance, hence require to be performed by a furthermore research. For that hence this research study is researcher will perceive about influence from free variable consisted of the leadership transformasional, leadership transactional, and commitmen work to employees performance.This research is conducted in Customs Service Office Type A Tanjung Periuk, by using officer responder all area with the amount 200 responder people, its data collecting Technique use the quesionaire closed by using descriptive statistical analyzer and path analysis for the examination of its hypothesizing.Result of research indicate that the variable of leadership of transformational and leadership transactional own the influence to commitmen work, later;then variable of leadership transformational, leadership transactional, and commitmen work the employees have an effect on also to employees performance. And from examination by path is knowable analysis pursuant to value of coefficient regression that variable of leadership transformational, owning stronger influence to employees performance compared to to commitmen work while variable of leadership transactional own the strong influence to commitmen work compared to the employees performance.Result of this research can be exploited by Customs Service Office Type A Tanjung Periuk to pay attention elements that able to enrich duty all officers, for example by way of participating in decision, to specify the target of themselves, and emphasize at giving of ability to run enriched work with authority delegation so that result of optimal job/activity can be expected.

Abstract

The Correlation of the Community?s Socio-Economic Level to the EnvironmentBasedDevelopment at the Fish Port of Sadeng Beach, Gunungkidul District, Yogyakarta.The aims of the research were to find out: (1) whether or not there was a correlationbetween the community?s socio economic level and the environment based development, (2) to know the percentage of a correlation between the community?s socio economic level and the environment based development. This is a descriptive research. The location of the research was at Sadeng beach, Gunungkidul district, Yogyakarta. The populations of the research were 6149 people and the samples of the research were 362 people. The data analyzing by using a regression analysis with prerequisite tests of normality test and linearity test. Based on the results of the analysis, conclusions are drawn as follows: (1) there is a positive and significant correlation between the community?s economic level and the environment-based development at the fish port of Sadeng beach (r x1y o = 0.867 P<0.5) and t o = 32.971 P < 0.05), (2) the percentage of a correlation between the community?s socioeconomic level and the environment based development at the fish port of Sadeng beach is75.1 %

Abstract

SINGGIH PRIHADI: The Development of Instructional Multimedia of RemoteSensing to Increase Spatial Intellegence for the Student of Senior High School.This research was aimed at developing good and effective multimedia forremote sensing in Senior High Schools of Surakarta.The research was conducted in Senior High Schools in Surakarta by usinga research and development study. Subjects of the research were students in classXII of the senior high school The research was conducted in four steps, covering:(1) need analysis, (2) development of instructional design, (3) development ofproduct design, (4) product evaluation and implementation of the product. Theproduct was validated by one expert in multimedia and one expert in materials.Fourty-five students were involved in the product tryout in which 3 students wereinvelued in the one-to-one evaluation, 12 students in small-group evaluation and30 sudents in field-trial evaluation. Data of the research were gained from expertevaluation validation sheet of the instructional media and materials, and thestudents feedback of the media, particularly in the learning aspect of itsoperational intelligibility, intelligibility of content to learn, and interesting layoutand program. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative technique.Results of the research reveal that: (a) the quality of multimedia was goodregarding the aspect of content and efficacy, (b) the quality of instruction wasvery good regarding the aspect of layout, operation, navigation and efficacy, (c)the quality of multimedia was very good regarding the aspects of the inteligibilityof product operation, product instuction content and layout. It also implies thatthe multimedia of remote sensing for the students of Senior Schools of Surakartais eligible to be used as learning resources.
