Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe and create Student Worksheets based on Concept Mapping that are valid, effective, and practical to facilitate students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research uses the Plomp research and development model that has been modified by Romadhan into 4 phases namely 1) initial investigation, 2) design, 3 ) realization, 4) tests, evaluations and revisions. The LKS was tested on a limited basis to three students of class VII A and field trials on 24 students of class VII D MTs Plus Darul Ulum. Data collection was performed using worksheet validation sheets, student response sheets, teacher response sheets, and concept understanding sheets. The results showed that the Student Worksheet (LKS) based on concept mapping to facilitate students' understanding of mathematical concepts had fulfilled valid, effective, and practical criteria. Based on the results of the validity percentage 80% and 78.13%. The results of the effectiveness based on student's responses in the questionnaire and result tests of conceptual understanding. Student worksheet effective is responses of students who meet both criteria with score Sf= 73,9% and test understanding of the concept which meets both criteria with score Sa= 80,29%. Practicability test on the student worksheet based on questionnaire responses of the teacher which meet both criteria whit score Sp= 76%. Proposition for further development, student worksheets should be developed in other topics of mathematics.Keywords: student worksheet, concept mapping, understanding of concept mathematical, algebra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prediction of the possibility of an auditor switching in property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017 based on the Public Accountant Firm’s size and management switching using a linear probability model. The data used are secondary data obtained from the financial statements of property companies. Property companies that meet the requirements in the study as a sample of 33 companies. To estimate the linear probability model using the ordinary least square method. The model that has been obtained was tested by t-test and F test. The results of the data analysis can be concluded that the model obtained can be used to predict the possibility of a property company auditor switching based on the predictor variable of Public Accountant Firm’s size and management switching with a predictive reliability level of 84.84%.  Keywords: linear probability model, auditor switching, Public Accountant Firm’s size, management switching, ordinary least square method.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the mathematical concepts of students in solving the problem of polyhedron of cubes and cuboids with assisted of Schoology media. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive approach. This study describes the ability to understand mathematical concepts that owned of students with Schoology media. Research subjects is three students selected by purposive sampling based on conditions and situations that occured during the current co-19 pandemic. The data collection used consists of tests of understanding the ability of mathematical concepts. Based on the results of research showed that the ability to understanding students' of mathematical concepts with Schoology-assisted able to provide understanding of material polyhedron of cubes and cuboids by the average results of students getting value 91,67. Where the first student is able to reach an understanding indicator of mathematical concepts from given by agreeing to the concept, classifying objects according to certain properties, giving concepts in various forms of mathematical representation, explaining the relationship between one concept with another concept, and applying the concept in problem solving . While the second and third students can only reach four indicators from the second indicator given. Nevertheless, students show positive responses to Schoology media. Keywords: Understanding Mathematical Concepts, Schoology Media

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical disposition and self-regulated learning of online lectures with the help of Google Classroom. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study's subjects were 34 students of the first semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program consisting of 11 male students and 23 female students determined by the saturated sampling method. From the research results, it can be concluded that students' mathematical disposition through learning assisted by Google Classroom has high criteria. The mathematical disposition of male and female students through learning assisted by Google Classroom has high criteria. Still, the level of mathematical disposition of male students is slightly higher than female students. Meanwhile, student self-regulated learning with the help of Google Classroom obtains very high criteria. For male and female students, both have very high learning independence criteria in carrying out learning with the help of Google Classroom.Keywords: Mathematical Disposition, Self-regulated learning, Google Classroom, Online Lectures, Gender

Abstract

Technological progress is very rapid, especially in the field of education, so teachers and students need to use technology in learning. ICT-based learning media is one of the uses of technology in education with the hope of improving the quality of learning. This study aims to determine the process and produce a product in the form of-based learning media flipbook on the material of a two-variable linear equation system in class VIII SMP. This research is a development research using the ADDIE development model. The data collection technique used is a non-test technique with a data collection instrument in the form of a validation sheet filled out by the validator. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive data analysis. Overall, the feasibility assessment of-based mathematics learning media flipbook on two-variable linear equation system material obtained an average of 85.70%, so-based learning media flipbook on two-variable linear equation system material in class VIII SMP is interpreted as very valid for use.Keywords: Learning Media, Flipbook, Material of Two Variable Linear Equation Systems, Validity

Abstract

This research is an exploration of the implementation of learning geometry mathematics through discourse and aims to get a model of theaching materials as adevelopment of those used by lecturers so far. The research was carried out through questionnaires, direct observation, and discussion of critical discourse analysis and was linked to important needs in mathematicals literacy. Exploration is constructed through theoretical reviews, synthesis from previous research, and examples of development though discourse. The contens of the questionnaire follow the natural discourse of the presentation of theacing materials on the dispotitions of lecturers and students. In particular, the exploration of theaching materials as part of the means of disseminating a culture of mathematics, an aesthetic description of mathematics, and dominant aspecs of lecturers and students. Development road maps are done through centralized examination of discourse, where data tajen from oral and written delivery and from texts that extend views on mathematics and by opening the choice of lectures and students. The result showed the depth of the description of teaching materials without the assumption that curriculum were sufficient to obtain the effectiveness of mathematical literacy and as a more contextual product.Keywords: theaching material, curriculum, continuity of the discourse of mathematics

Abstract

The ability to read, analyze data, and execute the Syariah economic market agents' decision becomes possible to happen. This research aims to help agents and those how to read the data, analyze, and model the data by providing perspectives regarding the stock pricing in the future. The research method being employed as Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), which has steps of data plotting transforming, estimating the model, and forecasting. The results of this research found that ARIMA (1,1,0) is the best model of Syariah stock pricing on Indonesian Syariah Stock Indexing (ISSI). The test of model reliability employs RMSE, AIC, BIC/SBC, which is resulted in a fair, competitive suitable test to the employed model.Keywords: ARIMA, Mathematical Model, Forecasting, Stock

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of Focusky and Kahoot in increasing motivation to learn SMK students. This research uses descriptive research methods supported by qualitative and quantitative data. The main purpose of descriptive research is to get a detailed picture of a situation while answering questions such as who, when where, and how. The type of descriptive research was chosen because this study aims to describe matters related to the implementation of the Focusky and Kahoot applications in increasing students' motivation towards mathematics in vocational high schools. The subjects in this study were 5 students of class X SMK Al Huda Sariwangi. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and tests. From the results of the study, it can be revealed that learning by implementing the Focusky and Kahoot applications, in the learning process creates a more interesting, fun, and interactive learning atmosphere so that it has a positive impact on increasing student learning motivation and makes it easier for students to understand the material delivered by the teacher.Keywords: Focusky, Kahoot, Learning Motivation
