Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak Kabupaten Bantul tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dan objek penelitian adalah minat dan prestasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yakni siklus I terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan dan siklus II terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Pada setiap akhir siklus dilaksanakan tes siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, catatan lapangan, tes dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis diskriptif berbentuk persentase.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dapat meningkatkan minat dan prestasi belajar matematika pada siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 2 Pandak Kabupaten Bantul. (1) Minat belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, yaitu pada siklus I persentase rata-rata minat 68,99% (kualifikasi cukup), dan pada siklus II 81,04% (kualifikasi tinggi). (2) Prestasi belajar matematika siswa mengalami peningkatan, yaitu pada pra tindakan nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 58,11 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 30,55% (kualifikasi rendah), pada tes siklus I nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 75,28 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 66,67% (kualifikasi cukup), dan pada tes siklus II nilai rata-rata kelas 87,08 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 91,67% (kualifikasi tinggi). Kata kunci : Pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE), minat belajar, prestasi belajar

Abstract

AbstractTeachers were required to create an active learning environment that could grow the students’ learning spirit and mathematical thinking. The cooperative learning model type TPS could provide opportunities for students to be more active and creative in solving mathematical problems. This research was a quasi-experimental study (t-test) with the nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted to find out: (1) that students’ mathematical problem solving abilities that obtained cooperative learning type TPS were better than students who obtained direct instruction, (2) that students' mathematical problem solving abilities obtained the cooperative learning model type TPS achieve the KKM. The research population were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tulis. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. The method of data collection in this research was a test of mathematical problem solving abilities. The data of the research results were processed using prerequisite tests, average difference test and completeness test. The results showed that: (1) students’ mathematical problem solving abilities that obtained cooperative learning type TPS were better than students who obtained direct instruction, (2) the value of students with the value of problem solving skills  70 that obtained the cooperative learning type TPS more than 75%. Keywords: Implementation, TPS, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability.AbstractTeachers were required to create an active learning environment that could grow the students’ learning spirit and mathematical thinking. Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki mahasiswa.  Berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu karakter yang akhir-akhir ini memang menjadi isu pendidikan, selain menjadi bagian dari proses pembentukan akhlak anak bangsa.. Untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa perlu dilakukan inovasi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan pemikiran itulah maka peneliti akan melakukan penelitian  upaya meningkatkan  kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi menggunakan bahan ajar yang berbasis integrasi interkoneksi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan desain yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Model tersebut terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap perlakuan dan pengamatan, dan tahap refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis integrasi interkoneksi telah berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dari skor 23 pada tahap pra tindakan, meningkat menjadi 27,7 pada siklus 1, dan 36,6 pada siklus 2.Kata Kunci: Bahan ajar,  integrasi interkoneksi, berpikir kritis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan: (1) meningkatkan keberanian bertanya pada pembelajaran matematika materi luas dan volume kubus dan balok bagi siswa kelas VIII, (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar pada pembelajaran matematika materi luas dan volume kubus dan balok bagi siswa kelas VIII U SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subyek siswa kelas VIII U SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes dan lembar observasi, selanjutnya data dianalisis secara deskriptif . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model penemuan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan keberanian bertanya pada pembelajaran matematika materi luas dan volume kubus dan balok . Pada siklus I, hasil ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal yang dicapai adalah 56,67%, kemudian pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 66,67%, sehingga terjadi peningkatan sebesar 10%. Kata Kunci: Matematika; keberanian bertanya; penemuan terbimbing

Abstract

This study aims to determine the benefits of teaching materials based on the application of Schoology in the course of trigonometry in the lecture. One of the hallmarks of Schoology-based teaching materials is to use the Schoology app which is one of the web-based social web pages which offers the same learning as in a class free and easy to use. Through Schoology, the management of learning is very easy. Schoology is also almost the same function with other web pages in which it offers lecturers to load materials, learning materials, structured quizzes. This research is a kind of research development. Research methodology used as follows: (1) research and information gathering, (2) planning, (3) product development, (4) initial test, (5) product revision, (6) field trial, (7) field trial products, (8) product operational trials, (9) product revisions and (10) implementation. The achievement of this research is teaching materials based on Schoology which can support lecturer of trigonometry in the mathematics education program. This teaching material is feasible to use and the achievements generated in the development of teaching materials based on this schoology is to improve students' learning outcomes in trigonometric courses.Keywords: development,  teaching materials, schoology, trigonometry

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the application of guided discovery learning model with mind mapping that could increase students creativity in compiling the thesis proposal. The approach of this research is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects are 3rd-grade students of Mathematics study program of UMM that taking the Research Methodology course.            The steps of this research are planning, implementation, analysis, and evaluation respectively. The Guided discovery Model Learning with Mind Mapping is applied at the implementation stage, where students are required to develop research proposals based on guided discovery learning steps, that is (1) provision of stimuli, (2) problem identification, (3) completion data, (4) data processing, (5) verification, and (6) generalizations, which have been compiled in textbooks of Research Methodology courses. Abstract

AbstractThe development of E-Learning is based on the development of IPTEK as a resource for the fulfillment of core competencies in curriculum 2013 which facilitate students and teachers in the learning process. The research uses R&D  design, based  from cognitive loads theory with the Borg & Gall development model. The steps are: research and information collection, research planning, initial product development, preliminary field test involving 4 students, revision of preliminary field test result, wider field test involving 8 students, test revision A field, a feasibility test involving 32 students, and a revision of the feasibility of a trial subject in research is a grade VIII student of SMP Negeri 1 Mlati, Kab. Sleman, D.I. Yogyakarta. Data is collected through polls and observations during trials, and then research results are analyzed with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Media expert responses get an average score of 3.91. While the responses of the material experts acquired an average score of 3.60 showed a Moodle-based e-learning is decent in terms of media and worthy of material terms. The results of the study on field implementation test show that all students of class VIII C percentage of class submission are above 86%. The results of the students ' responses to small and large scale trials showed that the majority of students gave positive feedback on learning activities using LMS Moodle-based e-learning media. LMS Moodle's final e-learning product contains material, video links, ppt links, quizzes, articles around mathematical numeral patterns, chat and discussion forums. Thus, from the test results of the implementation of the field can be concluded that E-learning based on LMS Moodle Mathematics learning for students of grade VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Mlati, with material "number pattern" is feasible as one of the sources Study both individually and in groups. Keywords: Development of E-learning, LMS Moodle, Cognitive Loads TheoryMathematics, Numbers Pattern

Abstract

This study aimed to improved understand independency enhancement and critical thinking of learning students through based blended learning. This research combines classroom action research which refers to Stephen Kemmis and Robin Mc Taggart. This research subject were students of engineering information STMIK Duta Bangsa period 2017 / 2018. This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle was done in two meetings. Every cycle consisted of 4 steps are preparation, action, observation, evaluation, analysis, and reflection. The subject of this research is the students who took Calculus 1. The technique of collecting data was done by assessing test result and observation, test instrument, observation sheet, and field notes. The data was analyzed by using quantitative-descriptive approach. The study showed that the strategy of blended learning proved to be succeeded in increasing understand independency enhancement and critical thinking of learning students through based blended learning in Calculus 1. This is based on the occurrence of (1) increasing of independency enhancement a rise in their ability college student in learning one who is an independent study prior to the adoption of blended learning is as much as 11,2 % and after the cycle of come to an end the application of blended learning was recorded at 88,8 %. (2) increasing in their ability college students to critical thinking between prior to the adoption of blended learning is as much as 12,4 % and over the course of his shift to be over the application of a notebook detailing the development strategy blended learning was recorded at 91,2 %Keywords: Blended Learning, independent learning, critical thinking

Abstract

Suatu graf dapat direpresentasikan sebagai aljabar lintasan dan jika graf tersebut diperluas dapat didefinisikan suatu aljabar lintasan Leavitt, yang pada kenyataannya merupakan Z-aljabar bertingkat. Dalam tulisan ini akan dibahas mengenai sifat semiprima pada aljabar lintasan dan aljabar lintasan Leavitt yang berlaku dalam sebarang graf. Serta menyelidiki kaitan antara semiprima pada aljabar lintasan dengan semiprima pada aljabar lintasan Leavitt.Kata Kunci: Graf Berarah, Aljabar Lintasan, Aljabar Lintasan Leavitt, Aljabar Linta-san Leavitt Semiprima.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the communication skills of students of SMP Eka Sakti Semarang who have a competitive learning style. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using test methods and interviews. The subjects consist of 2 grade VII students who have a competitive learning style. The data validity technique uses source triangulation. The results showed that both subjects showed the same mathematical communication ability indicators: 1) were less able to express mathematical ideas through oral, written, and demonstrated and visualized; 2) able to understand, interpret and evaluate mathematical ideas either orally, or in visual form; and 3) able to use terms - mathematical notations through oral, written, and interpreting and visualizing. These results show that they understand the problems faced but are not accustomed to writing them coherently, this is due to the aggressiveness of students with competitive learning styles more motivate them to complete the job quickly and correctly rather than following the procedure. Keywords: mathematical communication, learning style
