Abstract

Halal Tourism is a segment of the tourism business that focuses on muslim visitors in terms of service and, of course, halal items that are safe for consumption by muslim tourists. The goal of this research is to look at how the factor of halal tourism may enhance visitor satisfaction and how this connection can be increased when controlled by the component of religiosity in Bandung. This study is part of a descriptive study with a causal link that employs explanatory statistics. SEM-PLS analysis was utilized to analyze the data from a sample of 400 respondents. This study adds to previous research that has shown that religiosity has a major moderating impact on halal tourism and tourist satisfaction. Tourist satisfaction would boost national revenue from the tourism industry while also assisting tourism resort managers in maintaining tourist contentment and getting new insights into recruiting muslim tourists with strong religious values.

The results indicate that both brand image and product quality have a significant impact on purchase decisions, while WOM does not significantly influence these decisions. Abstract

Due to the merger, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) recorded total assets of IDR 240 trillion. This study examines whether there are differences between the pre-and post-merger in the financial performance of BSI in terms of liquidity, solvency, and profitability using Wilcoxon signed test and paired sample t-test. This study finds significant differences in the level of liquidity and profitability of BSI's financial performance, while there is no significant difference in the level of solvency. This result implies that BSI's efficiency in managing business increases; therefore, the operational costs might be reduced, and the operating income tends to grow. Although the financing-to-debt ratio (FDR) is moderate, BSI still needs to improve the effectiveness of its fund distribution. This study contributes to the literature on mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector, particularly for Islamic banks, by providing new insight into its impact on financial performance.

Abstract

This study analyses the factors that influence property prices in Indonesia using secondary data from 2008QIII to 2021QII and the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis technique. The study re-sults show that inflation and lending rates have a negative and significant effect on property prices. Economic growth has a positive but insignificant effect, while exchange rates and Loan to Value (LTV) have a positive and significant effect on property prices. The findings suggest that LTV can be used as a tool to control credit growth. An increase in LTV ratio accelerates property credit growth, while a decrease in LTV ratio can slow down credit growth. The recommendation of this study is for the monetary authority to ensure the right time to implement LTV policy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The trickle-down effect assumes that the progress of a group of people will automatically trickle down, thus creating jobs which in turn will promote the necessary conditions for equitable economic growth. However, previous studies on the association between economic growth and poverty have shown inconclusive results. This study fills the gap of the above research differences by introducing income inequality as a moderating variable in the relationship between economic growth and poverty. Secondary data from 34 provinces in Indonesia during 2016-2020 period were analyzed using panel data moderated regression. The results showed that while simple linear regression model indicates positive significant effect of economic growth on poverty, the interaction between economic growth and income inequality shows negative significant effect on poverty. This paper concludes that income inequality as measured by the Gini index moderates the effect of economic growth on poverty which supports the importance of inclusive economic growth.
