This study examines the role of religious moderation in strengthening unity amid the diversity of Indonesian society, which is rich in ethnic, linguistic, and religious variations focusing on Islam and Buddhism. Using a hermeneutic and qualitative approach that combines theoretical, philosophical, and critical analysis, this study explores the principles of religious moderation as depicted in the Qur’an and the Tripitaka. It aims to discover ways to manage diversity in Indonesia and prevent religious conflicts, contributing to scholarly discussion on how religious moderation can support peaceful Coexistence in a diverse society. The finding highlights the support of Islam and Buddhism for the concept of moderation and their rejection of extremism, which is in line with the national principles of “Unity in diversity” (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika). The study concludes that implementing religious moderation based on tolerance and mutual respect is key to maintaining harmony and avoiding inter-religious friction, offering a practical framework for more inclusive social integration.

The rationale for this research stems from the polarization of two groups: the Islamic Orthodox group and the group of inclusive reform thinkers. The problems that occurred since the time of the prophet and Khulafau al-Rasyidin's companions are very likely different from today's more complex times. Therefore, the researcher wants to re-read the intellectual struggle of the Companions in interpreting the Qur'an on casuistic issues at that time. Starting from the source, method, style of interpretation, and the struggle between text and context. The research method of this article uses the library research method, in which all data is taken from written materials that are directly related to and correlate considerably with the topic under study. One fundamental principle is that all the companions agreed that the preeminent source is the Qur'an and Hadith. It follows that the purpose of the Shari'ah that God intends is the purpose for which it contains elements of human benefit. The preservation of religion, soul, mind, lineage, and property. Known as Maqasidhu al-Sharia.

This study aims to explain the values of tolerance education in the Qur'an using the tarbawy interpretation approach. Discrimination in social life and the world of education must be eroded so that no one feels better and degrades one another. The results showed that the values of tolerance education are repeatedly mentioned in the Qur'an. This verse's affirmation leads to maintaining differences, respect between religions, and brotherhood because humans are created with different forms to realize unity and know each other. This can also be realized in the world of education between students and other students, teachers and students, and vice versa. The research method used is qualitative in collecting primary and secondary data through a literature analysis process. The data collected are the Ministry of Religion's version of the Qur'an, international and national journals, and several books that are the results of research on tolerance education. Thus, the values of democratic education can create a harmonious life in educational institutions, prosperous and prosperous, without discrimination and dichotomization, respecting each other by building strength together so as to achieve mutual prosperity and a harmonious life.

This research is motivated by the widespread belief and practice of traditional ceremonies such as the Jamasan Gong Kyai Pradah among the community. This phenomenon is intriguing to study, especially in the modern era where rationality predominates and such customs are gradually being supplanted by technology. The study examines the role of the Qur'an in the cultural acculturation of Javanese society through the Jamasan Gong Kyai Pradah tradition in Lodoyo Culture, Blitar District. The author uses a qualitative approach focusing on interaction analysis, and the research explores how the Quran influences and interprets this culturally and spiritually rich local context. The Jamasan Gong Kyai Pradah tradition uniquely synthesizes Islamic values and Javanese cultural heritage. The Qur'an serves as a spiritual guide in this ceremony and as a guardian and enhancer of religious identity and cultural values within the Lodaya community. The results demonstrate that the acculturation of Islamic teachings and Javanese traditions in Jamasan Gong Kyai Pradah enriches the understanding of religion and strengthens communal solidarity and collective identity. This study emphasizes the importance of cultural integration in religious contexts to preserve and develop rich local traditions. This article asserts that Jamasan Gong Kyai Pradah is a tangible example of how religion can synergize with culture in dynamic harmony. This integration not only enriches the community's spiritual life but also supports inclusive social development and fosters respect for cultural diversity in Indonesia.

The linguistic approach in interpreting the Qur’an is considered an ideal approach. However, in practice, this approach is often used as a tool for ideological infiltration. Based on this, this research focuses on examining linguistic interpretation and attempts to identify the aspects and types of ideological infiltration in linguistic exegesis by adhering to the systematic critique of al-Najjār. This research employs content analysis methods based on the theory of the muwāfaqah al-lughah wa al-sharī‘ah. The findings of this research indicate that to assess whether linguistic exegesis is ideologically infiltrated or not, one can see to what extent the interpretation aligns with linguistic and sharia principles. Additionally, according to al-Najjār, there are three forms of ideological infiltration in linguistic exegesis, through naḥw, the literal meaning of words, and qirā’at of the Qur’an.

The science of qirā’at is one of the important elements in reciting the Al-Qur'an. The author takes one of the lines of qirā'at narrators, namely Ḥasan Baṣrī, a famous qirā'at imam. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with data processing using the library method. The result of this research is an explanation of the meaning of qirā'ah syāżah which does not fulfill the pillars of qirā'ah mutawātir. The qirā'ah syāżah attributed to Ḥasan Baṣrī with several examples does not show much change in meaning in the interpretation of the Qur'an, but the differences in reading are caused by the specificity of each tribe or region which cannot pronounce certain letters or words. So, Qirā'at ṣāḍḍah Ḥasan Baṣrī is a reading of the Qur’an that should not be practiced as daily reading. This Qirā’at can only be studied to ensure that this knowledge does not get swallowed up by time.

The method used is descriptive-analytical method as commonly applied in qualitative research models. This article shows that (1) from the identification of Qur’anic verses that indicate the concept of government system as many as 26 verses, the word khalīfah is more often used by Allah for the meaning of government and ruler. (2) in the Qur'an, terms such as khalīfah, imām, ulū al-amr, and sulṭān refer to the concepts of leadership and governance without specifying a particular form of state or system of government that Muslims must follow. (3) by adhering to the principles of Sharia, Islam allows for various flexible forms of government to reflect national sovereignty and the welfare of the community, without being bound to any specific system.
