Abstract

This study focuses on understanding communal conflicts in Indonesia, which are triggered by stereotyping. Indonesians have undergone communal conflicts, especially in the late 1990s. The conflicts were mainly religious and ethnic, suggesting serious tensions in stereotyping between religious and ethnic groups. In this case, the paper seeks to underline the importance of multicultural education in the school context. Education is considered having a strategic role in building positive circumstances among people. Multicultural education is expected to minimize the possibility of building negative stereotyping of one person against another, which could cause conflict. This qualitative study incorporates a literature review of multicultural education and communal conflicts in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

In the globalization era, environment has a broad definition. Someone could very easily find an atmosphere that he likes. It brings to positive or negative effects. Teenagers (aged 12-22 years) are the generation most vulnerable to the negative influences that lead to moral decadence. This problem is verydifficult to overcome if it just rely on the secular West psychological theories. Islamic education is expected to provide a solution to these problems through functional strategy, integral and progressive. Religious teachings not only memorized but should also be presented in the spirit to assist youngpeople in solving the problem. This strategy could be: guiding problem solving in dealing with problems themselves and society as well as the formation of an integral understanding of his relationship with God. Teens should have spirit that can transform itself into a superior person.

Abstract

Islam, through the Quran proclaims that its mission includes the teachings to the whole universe, Everything in the universe is maintained by Islam, and none of the symptoms is ignored. The revelations also include the traditions of the Prophet that are authentic (shahih) and good (hasan) in quality. Both the Quran and maqbulah hadiths are accepted by Muslims on the basis of faith. When some experts of UIN Walisongo from various disciplines try to understand the sacred words of these two resources, their understanding continues, reaching the paradigm of unity of science which essentially unites the the normative, social, and natural sciences. The effect of this paradigm has brought up an issue for the author. Is there any hadiths or  Prophetic traditions that can be used as a grand theory in the management disciplines of Islamic educatio .To address this issue, the authors conducted a literature research with the title Development of Islamic Education Management Module. Sources of data were focused on nine books of Hadiths : Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih al-Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan at-Turmudzi, Sunan an-Nasai, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan ad-Darimi, Muwatta Malik, and Musnad Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in the form of digital data  Lidwa Reader i Software Book 9 Imam Hadith. The findings of the study stated that the meaning of the word Rabb includes: creating, nurturing, maintaining, teaching, educating, and organizing. Thus, in an academic term, the word Rabb implies a manager or leader. Meanwhile, in the concept of comprehensive manager it contains at least 14 nomenclature denotations: planning, responsibility, organization, coordination, system of employee payroll, learning, resources, humanity, principle of making it easier for the manager to the employee, motivated to achieve optimal performance, preventing unproductivity, education participation, institutional costs, monitoring and evaluation system. Each nomenclature has numerous hadiths that could serve as its grand theory. Thus, building elements of Islamic education management science have references of Prophet Muhammad SAW hadits so the final figure that was found was "prophetic educational management.

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between Islamic education and various elements of life. The linkage between the theoretical side of Islamic education and the practical side of Islamic education is also presented here. In the study, the theoretical and applied dimensions of Islamic education can be discussed separately, but in practice, these two dimensions are inseparable. In principle, the Islamic education issues cannot be separated from any variety of issues. The Islamic education is always associated with the various elements of life, es-pecially human beings. Human beings can grow and develop properly with Is-lamic education. Conversely, humans (Muslim) also become actors for the de-velopment and the decline of Islamic education. The relationship between Mus-lims and Islamic education just likes a piece of money, which is composed of two different sides, but inseparable one another. In Islamic societies, education be-comes a key of progress.
