Dimas: Jurnal Pemikiran Agama untuk Pemberdayaan is a social-religious research journal published by Institute for Research and Community Services (LP2M), UIN Walisongo Semarang. The focus of this journal is to disseminate research results based on community services, increasing the capacity of society and community empowerment, and innovations of community empowerment in all districts around Indonesia. This journal covers textual and fieldwork studies on those issues from various fields including law, economy, social, philosophy, history, mysticism, art, theology, and others.

Community service activities is carried out by using pendekataan empowerment. The essence of this approach seeks to stimulate the independence process of the community (self sustaining process) of yourself. As a result of such devotion is the First; RA teachers achieved the standard HR professionals who are able to plan and carry out learning in accordance with Permindikbud clause of 146 and 137. Second; Participants devotion has two kinds of things, namely; 1) 80% of the training participants can understand the curriculum 13, to recognize the characteristics of learners, master models and learning strategies RA 2) 85% of participants proficient in motion and song, adept at making APE in learning and being able to make RPPH in RA. Third; Teachers increasingly skilled make APE and assign tasks meaningful to students, teachers are increasingly skilled in managing the class, and implement learning strategies.

This study aims at describing the implementation of impartial reading strategies namely collective reading, guided reading, and independent reading performed by teachers of early grades at Islamic Elementary School (MI and MIN) in six madrassas in Semarang. Implementation is conducted after the training of impartial reading is made and continued by providing assistance to teachers in creating impartial reading programs, applying impartial reading strategies, organizing the variety and types of books, and managing students in impartial reading. The program is focused on the use of books containing Islamic values as the development of modules or manuals that have been used to implement the strategy.

Some teachers of Islamic Kindergarten (RA) in Salatiga and Semarang District realize that there is still little absorbed information related to the preparation of instructional media. Even so, not many of them have high motivation to take a reflective action such as implementing a Classroom Action Research. This service activity that in the form of training of creating educative props (APE) and training on preparing the design of PTK aims to facilitate the teachers to achieve pedagogical and professional competence as well as achieve quality learning. The results show that both the preparation of media and the design of PTK will be more focused if using a reference; in this case the base is six child development scopes as set forth in Permendikbud No. 137 of 2014 on National Education Standards of Early Childhood.

This paper describes the strengthening of communication network of Community Da'wah Institution (LDK) as a strategy to empower the potential of religious residents in Banyumanik. This potential empowerment is aimed at the emergence of citizens' religious awareness, through the shifting of communication networks that are taking place in Banyumanik. Subjects consisted of four LDKs and one foundation. The method of devotion uses the principle of Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA) with the Feminist approach. The results of the mentoring activities indicate that there is still a problem of religious awareness among residents in Banyumanik. Indication of religious awareness problem besides value system, indicated by the absence of consistency of behavior. Efforts are made to reduce the problem of religious awareness

Assistance to the community is provided in order to provide education using fast, good and correct learning methods. In addition to literacy education of the Qur'an, coastal communities who work as fish seekers on average also need to be equipped with skills (life skill). Through education and training, coastal communities will have two advantages at once, first able to study the Qur'an quickly, rightly and correctly, and both gain knowledge about fish waste processing. Devotion is done also provide life skill education (life skills) such as processing pellets / feed from fish waste. Supply provided is not limited to the training course but also helps in the management of production permits and feasibility of processing the pellet, and find opportunities in marketing the processed products.

In the modern era, there are still many young people who dropped out of school, including at boarding school. Economic factor that make them could not be a formal education. Nevertheless, schools remains committed to make a breakthrough in order to provide life skills for students who drop out of school. Life skill education program through the manufacture of woven fabrics organized in boarding school Miftahul Huda Pabelan Kab. Semarang is expected to provide knowledge as well as to equip the students to have the skills to live. This activity involves several parties such as Home Industry "Afiq", the Ministry of Religious Kab. Semarang and Central Java MUI through the division of the economic empowerment of the people. Through these activities, students are expected to be able to make woven and develop it themselves.

Waste management is still defined as limited to collection, transportation and garbage disposal. The follow-up of the meaning is the provision of facilities such as garbage bins, garbage trucks and waste collection land. Waste management has not included waste separation. Segregation of waste can minimize the amount of waste that must be discharged to the final place. Segregation of waste can supply recyclable raw materials and handicrafts made from garbage. The manufacture of handicraft products from garbage is still local and requires socialization and training. It is needed to increase the number of craftsmen and garbage absorption on the crafters. Through careful socialization and training, citizens' awareness of waste management becomes advanced by making handicrafts of economic value from waste materials.

Hygiene management is an issue that is very important for the sustainability of a healthy environment. However, people in general seem difficult to implement a clean and healthy life. The presence of plastic in conjunction with the development of manufacturing has resulted into a big problem for the environment. On the other hand, Islam strongly encourages cleanliness and environmental management. Based on the above considerations by taking the focus of activities in Islamic boarding house, and to use “dialog wargaâ€approach with the ABCD method, this program aims to change the behavior of students to be aware of the importance of hygiene, garbage sorting and understand the principle of using the principles of reuse, reduce and recycle. After the end of the program found that the process of habituation behavior of cleanliness must be preceded by changes in the knowledge system.

The role of learning media, especially animation media, is very important in learning mathematics especially to explain abstract problem become concrete, motivate student, stimulate student learning activity, help effectiveness of learning process. Community service activities are aimed at making teachers able to create self-directed learning media. By making their own, the teacher can increase his insight and improve his creativity in creating animation media. In this training, teachers are trained to make animation media using powerpoint and flash. Subjects assisted in this devotional activity are math teachers in Semarang City. The math teachers showed great enthusiasm in training and felt the tangible benefits of community service. Teachers can create their own animated learning media, using either powerpoint or flash.

Each language has a different sound system and syllable structure with varied complexity. English is a language that has complicated spellings and syllables, so it is necessary to learn the pronunciation of English words in terms of phonemes and alphabets. The difficulty for non-native English speakers is the very small vocal movement, except in a careful pronunciation. This article aims at describing the teacher empowerment program with three main designs begins with socialization, training, and guidance to teachers. The main objective of this program is to introduce ways that can be done by English teachers at schools and madrasas in the Sub-Region of Boja, Kendal regency, Central Java, in applying phonics-based teaching method and providing guidance to the teachers during the implementation process.
