Abstract

This is a case study of Deakin University that will expand their education service to Turkey. Turkey is located in Southeastern Europe and Southwestern Asia with a strong growing economy, population and demand for tertiary education. It presents a good opportunity for Deakin University to expand its education services in and increase its market share globally. Considering the high level interests amongst Turkish students in the field of Business, Deakin will offer a Business degree in Commerce where students can further specialize in various fields. In doing so, Deakin will be in partnership with a local university called Koc University.  Located in Istanbul, where the majority of the target market is concentrated, Koc University has the facilities that Deakin can use in providing education services in Turkey. On the other hand, Deakin will provide the information technology equipments, Deakin Student Online (DSO) systems and learning resources such as access to Journals, online live conference etc. Highly qualified lecturers, both from Australia and local teachers will be help to ensure the quality of teaching learning process provided by Deakin.  In addition, Deakin has an extensive experience in providing education services abroad through partnerships, often called offshore programs, and will use its experience for its expansion to the education market in Turkey. Despite having seven agents in Turkey, Deakin is currently relatively unknown to the Turkish education market. In order to promote the marketing activities in Turkey as well as support the students enrolled at the offshore program, Deakin will open a representative office. Considering the large market in the high school student segment and the education situation in Turkey where there is more demand of tertiary education than university places, there is a high opportunity of success for Deakin in Turkey. Keywords: Deakin University, Turkey, International Marketing, Education service

Abstract

Local chicken farms is an effort to increase farmer income and create jobs, especially in rural areas. The aim of the study is to determine the magnitude of farmers income obtained from local chicken farms and find out the feasibility for chicken farming viewed from several aspects, among others market and marketing aspects, technical/operational aspects, management and financial aspects.Issue raised in the study  is whether the chicken farming can increase income of farmers and whether it is feasible to run in the area where the study is conducted .Research was conducted in Kumbang Village of Mila Pidie district, Aceh. Simple random sampling is deployed to as many as 33 households from 133 in the village.The results of the study exhibit that local chicken farms can increase farmer income by Rp283.200, -/year for a family with 10 chickens. in terms of feasibility, local chicken farming is quite feasible to be implemented and developed examining market and marketing aspects. While it is not feasible in terms of technical aspects/operational and management aspects, it is quite feasible from the financial aspect as the financial analysis shows the R / C 1 that is 1.29 and is lower than 1 that is 0.77 which means the rate of return is under one year.  The capital used is very effective as evidenced by the value of a ROI of 129% which means benefit is greater than capital within one year of production.Based on the results of this study, local chicken farmers in Kumbang Village have to learn the procedure for raising local chicken with respect to the feasibility of the cage, feed quality, disease control and deploy good management to increase the income.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to test the effect of time pressure, audit risk, materiality, review procedure and quality control, self esteem on premature sign off of audit procedure. This analyze with used the logistic regression is α=5%.  The result of this research indicates that there is a priority sequence of discontinued audit procedure in time pressure conditions. The audit procedure which is often omitted is understanding business's client and the audit procedure which is seldom omitted is physical examination. The logistic regression shows that audit risk, review procedure and quality control have an effect on prematurly signed off  of audit procedure. Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah unyuk menganalisis kemungkinan penerapan manajemen strategik model RBV pada pemerintahan, terutama  di daerah. Manajemen pemerintahan selama ini belum fokus. Undang Undang tentang pemerintahan selalu berubah-rubah sampai  pemberlakuan UU No.32 tahun 2004 hinggal sekarang. Akibatnya, meski sudah reformasi, tujuan bernegara  untuk mensejahterakan masyarakat masih jauh dari harapan dan malah korupsi berpindah dari pusat ke daerah. Untuk meluruskan kembali manajemen pemerintahan, salah satunya,  diperlukan penerapan model RBV manajemen strategik pada pemerintahan untuk kembali pada garis cita-cita bangsa. Key word:  Strategi,  RBV,  pemerintahan.

Abstract

This research empirically excamines the influence of decision of consumer about to purchase of brand car Toyota Kijang Innova in PT. Dunia Barusa Banda Aceh. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of cultural, social, personal and psychologist factor toward the decisions of consumen purchase in buying of brand car Toyota Kijang Innova in PT Dunia Barusa Banda Aceh.Collecting data is conducted by giving questionnaires to consumen owner of Kijang Innova car which choosed conveniencely in serving area of purna selling in PT. Duni Barusa Banda Aceh. This analysis uses multiple linear regression with SPSS. It influences culture, social, personal and psychology factors partially toward consumen decision in purchasing of brand caa Kijang Innova significant with t-table (1.9842) in significant level of for each them is 0.005, 0.000 and 0.014 or it’s smaller than 0.005. It’s influenced all factors of independent variable simoultaneously toward dependent variable that it’s also significant with F-test(110.007)F-table(2.4675). The relation of independent variable with dependent variable positively with R value 90.70%. The influence of four factors in decision of purchasing of brand car Kijang Innova is R2 value 0,822 that means 82.20% changing dependent variable can explain by independent variables. The rest of that value, which is 17.80% can explain by other variables outside model.Keywords: consumer, purchase, cultural, social, personal, psychologist

Abstract

To determined whether the service quality of aviation is good can be seen from the ability of the service in achieving the expectation of the customer. This study aims to identify the difference between the expected service and the reality perceived by the customer in relation to the service of Garuda Indonesia airlines in Banda Aceh City.            This study used 99 customers of Garuda Indonesia Airline as the sample which is drawn by applying purposive sampling technique. Data was gathered by using questionnaire and analysis by using statistic tool, average differentiation test (t-test).            The result of statistic test shows t value is greater than the value of t-table. Thus, Ha is accepted while Ho is rejected which means there is average differentiation between the expected service and the perceived service of Garuda Indonesia’s customer            Generally, the customer has relatively good assessment towards the quality of Garuda Indonesia airlines. However, they still hope for better service in order to remains the gap between the expectation and the perceived service. Therefore, it is demanded for the management of Garuda Airlines to improve their provided service quality. Key words: User percepcion, Airline Service and Garuda Indonesia Banda Aceh

Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyse factors impacting upon students satisfaction on Muhammadiyah Aceh University library services as there is a belief that different in satisfaction level did occur among students.             This study was performed at Muhammadiyah Aceh University library. Students satisfaction measured through five factors in service quality namely reliability, responsiveness, assurance, emphaty, and tangible. The population in the study is all 212 Muhammadiyah Aceh library registered-member students.  They are from six faculties and two academies within Muhammadiyah Aceh University. From those, 64 persons was sampled using stratified random sampling method.The result of the study shows that service quality positively associated with the students satisfaction on Muhammadiyah Aceh library services. The most positive association is between service quality and responsiveness. On the other hand, the least positive association is between service quality and reliability.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis variable  luas lahan, tenaga kerja dan biaya produksi mempengaruhi  hasil produksi coklat di Kampung Rusip Kecamatan Syiah Utama Kabupaten Bener Meriah.  Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari petani coklat melalui   metode : wawancara, obsevasi/survey  dan daftar quesioner.  Metode penentuan  sampel secara jenuh atau metode sensus,  sebanyak 44 orang/petani coklat. Metode analisa data  melalui pendekatan  spisifikasi model regresi berganda, dengan formulasi : Ŷ =  a + b1x1 + b2x2 + b3x3 + ε. dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil analisis regresi  menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh atau hubungan antara variable luas lahan, tenaga kerja dan biaya produksi terhadap hasil produksi coklat, dengan persamaan :   Ŷ  =  -3617,430 + 434, 623X1 + 50,533X2 + 0,610X3. koefisien diterminasi ( - r-square) diperoleh angka sebesar 0,967 atau sebesar 96,7 %, ini menjelaskan bahwa porsentase sumbangan pengaruh variable bebas luas lahan (X1), tenaga kerja (X2), dan biaya produksi (X3) terhadap variable terikat produksi coklat mampu menjelaskan sebesar 96,7 %, dalam model regresi, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 3,3 % dipengaruhi oleh variable yang lain. Secara parsial (uji-t), menunjukkan bahwa variable luas lahan (X1) dan biaya produksi (X3),  berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil produksi coklat, sedangkan variable tenaga kerja (X2) hanya berpengaruh tetapi tidak signifikan. Kesimpulan : pengujian hipotesis, terbukti bahwa benar variable luas lahan (X1) dan biaya produksi (X3) berpengaruh secara signifikan, keputusan Ho diterima. Sementara variable tenaga kerja (X2) cukup berpengaruh tapi tidak signifikan.Kata kunci : Produksi, Luas Lahan, Tenaga Kerja dan Biaya Produksi.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam  pengelolaan  manajemen  sekolah  terlihat  ada masalah  dalam  hal  penurunan  kinerja guru  jika dibandingkan  dengan  tahun  sebelumnya.  Hal  ini  diduga  dipengaruhi  oleh berbagai faktor antara lain kompensasi dan disiplin kerja. Tertarik pada masalah tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskriptifkan, menganalisis  dan  mengetahui  pengaruh  paling  dominan  dari kompensasi, disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMA 6 Negeri Banda Aceh.Untuk  menganalisis  masalah  tersebut,  maka  digunakan  40  responden melalui metode sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan  metode  survei  dengan  alat  bantu  kuesioner.  Analisis data  dilakukan  dengan  uji  validitas,  uji  reliabilitas,  analisis  deskriptif  dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Proses pengolahan data menggunakan aplikasi software SPSS Versi 21.00. Hasil  penelitian  menunjukan  bahwa  analisis  koefisien  regresi  Variabel  Kompensasi  =  0.022, Disiplin  Kerja  =  0.000 berpengaruh  signifikan  terhadap  kinerja.  Disiplin  merupakan  variabel  yang paling  dominan  pengaruhnya terhadap  kinerja  dengan  nilai  beta  0.593.Dari  hasil  penelitian  ini,  ada  beberapa  hal  yang  dapat  disarankan  dalam rangka meningkatkan kinerja  guru,  yaitu  antara  lain prinsip keadilan dalam pemberian kompensasi langsung maupun tidak langsung, Mematuhi dan  menjungjung peraturan  yang  berlaku yang  telah  disepakati  bersama  dalam  sekolah  untuk  meningkatkan  disiplin kerja guru.Kata kunci : Kompensasi, Disiplin Kerja, dan Kinerja Guru.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya pengangguran di Kota Banda Aceh dan untuk mengetahui kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengatasi pengangguran  di Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan data kuantitatif yang merupakan data sekunder, yang dilakukan melalui pengujian teori-teori dan melalui  penelitian  lapangan, dimana  metode deskriptif juga adalah untuk menganalisa data dengan cara  mengumpulkan, mengolah dan menafsirkan data sehingga dapat  memberikan suatu gambaran mengenai keadaan yang diteliti.           Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah Kantor Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Kependudukan Kota Banda Aceh, Sedangkan Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah data-data mengenai kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengatasi pengangguran di Kota Banda Aceh, dimana data yang diperoleh selama tahun 2006 - 2015 dan data-data lainnya yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi: library research (penelitiankepustakaan), dan field research (penelitianlapangan) dengan metode  wawancara yaitu melakukan Tanya jawab sehubungan dengan permasalahan penelitiandan observasi lapangan.           Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa perkembangan tingkat pengangguran di Kota Banda Aceh dari tahun 2006 sampai 2015 mengalami peningkatan terus menerus dan mencapai puncak pada tahun 2010 yaitu 17,05% dengan peningkatan sebesar 10%  di bandingkan tahun sebelumnya dimana pada tahun 2009 tingkat pengangguran hanya berkisar 7,70%. Pemerintah Daerah melakukankebijakan – kebijakanlainnya seperti Mengembangkan wawasan, pengetahuan dan kemampuan jiwa kewirausahaan kepada Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM), melakukan pembenahan, pembangunan dan pengembangan kawasan – kawasan, membangun lembaga sosial yang dapat menjamin kehidupan penganggur Kata Kunci: Kebijakan Pemerintah, Pengangguran,Kota Banda Aceh
