Abstract

Bamboo woven craft of Gintangan Village is one of the tourist attractions in Banyuwangi which has become a characteristic of Gintangan Village, Banyuwangi Regency and should be preserved. By interviewing the managers, sellers, craftsmen and the young generation, several real conditions were obtained which were then interpreted in the form of mathematical models and systems of differential equations. Furthermore, by analyzing the critical point of the system of differential equations, the condition of the existence of the Gintangan Village bamboo woven craft is obtained. The critical point showed that by providing the birth number that was greater than death number, the number of incoming residents was greater than the number of outgoing residents, and the conversion number of non-craftsmen to craftsmen was greater than number of craftsmen who decided to stop, it was found that at one time the number of non-craftsmen was little than the number of craftsmen. This situation has a good impact on the existence of bamboo woven craft of Gintangan Village in Banyuwangi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase students' interest in learning mathematics by using Active Knowledge Sharing learning on the subject matter of the composition of two functions and inverses of a function. This research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects in this study were students of class XI IPA 2 Siabu High School consisting of 16 female students and 5 male students. The results of the study after using Active Knowledge Sharing learning were seen in the results of the questionnaire interest in mathematics learning for students in cycle I with an average of 60,23% while the average cycle II was 81,78%. Judging from the results of the cycle I mathematics learning test with a percentage of completeness of 38,10% while the second cycle the percentage of completeness was 85,71%. The results of the observations of student activities in the first cycle averaged 76,15% while the average cycle II was 89,80%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that using Active Knowledge Sharing learning can increase students' interest in learning mathematics in SMA 2 Siabu on the subject of the composition of two functions and the inverse of a function.

Abstract

This qualitative research aims to describe the students' interests and learning outcomes by learning a flipped classroom assisted by Edmodo on Pythagorean material. This research was conducted at SMP Mu'adz Bin Jabal Kendari in 2020 for grade VIIIB students, totaling 31 students. Learning interest data is obtained through a learning interest questionnaire, and learning outcome test data is obtained through a learning outcome test with the Edmodo application. The data analysis technique of this research includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that Edmodo's flipped classroom had improved learning outcomes and student interest in learning at SMP-TQ Muadz bin Jabal Kendari on Pythagorean material. This is indicated by the level of completeness of student learning outcomes reaching 77% and student interest in learning is in the high category.

Abstract

In this study, we want to know the effect of the Auditory Intellectual Repetition (AIR) learning model. In this study using a quantitative approach, with a Pre-Experimental Design research design with the type of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, where student learning outcomes will be reviewed in terms of student pre-test and post-test scores. Based on the analysis of research data, the average pre-test student learning outcomes are 40.94 and the average post-test student learning outcomes are 83.28. From these data, an analysis of Paired Sample t-Test data was performed, and the value of the calculated t-≤ t-table (7.758 <8.281) was calculated using the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 then H0 is accepted. The conclusions of this study are (1) Student learning outcomes before the treatment is lacking, (2) Student learning outcomes after treatment is good, (3) There is a positive influence from the use of the Auditory Intelectual Repetition (AIR) learning model.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the students' low self-confidence. To increase students' self-confidence in mathematics lessons on set material with peer tutoring strategies. The results of students' mathematics tests using the Peer Tutoring strategy in class VII A MTs Muhammadiyah 22 Padangsidimpuan were proven by the results of the mathematics test of students in cycle I obtained an average of 51.42% and in cycle II 82.85% the average increase from cycle I to cycle II was 31.43%. Based on observations of teacher performance, there was an increase in the cycle where I obtained an average value of 58.50%, cycle II obtained an average value of 88.00%, an average increase of 29.50%. Based on observations, teacher activity also increased where the first cycle obtained an average of 64.55% and the second cycle was 81.55% and an increase in the average value of 17.00%. Based on the research results, it can be denied that using the Peer Tutoring strategy can increase student self-confidence and teacher performance in class VII A MTs Muhammadiyah 22 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

The learning process of the concept of greatest and Least which are the prerequisites of the greatest common divisor and the least common multiple in class IV SD Inpres 2 Waipo is carried out with the teaching paradigm that is, using T tables, multiples, and not using student thought conjectors in find concepts or material. This underlies researchers to design learning designs using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) with the context of the kuli bia game as a starting point. The purpose of this study is to produce a learning trajectory and determine the impact of the use of learning designs on the mathematical knowledge construction process. Design research was chosen to achieve this goal which consists of three stages: preliminary design, teaching experiment, retrospective analysis. The results of the study found that the kuli bia game provides an important role in supporting learning and increases learning motivation, able to understand the material based on the learning trajectories generated, provides a variety of strategies in solving problems both at the situational stage, models of, models for and formal stages, the implementation of RME with the context of the kuli bia game on the material is running optimally, the response of students and teachers is positive and effective management of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to reveal the students 'ability to solve problems related to the area of the flat shape that was taught after using the Problem Based Learning model supported by visual media, (2) to reveal the students' ability to solve problems related to the area of the flat shape that was taught after using the Direct Instruction model supported by visual media, (3) to reveal whether there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model supported by visual media on the ability to solve problems related to the area of a flat shape. This study uses a research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design with Quasi Experiment research techniques or quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students of SDN Senurus. The data analysis used in this study was the One Sample T Test and the Independent Sample T Test. The conclusions of the results of this study are, (1) the ability to solve problems related to the area of the flat shape of the fifth grade students of SDN Senurus using the Problem Based Learning learning model supported by visual media, the results of the calculations obtained a significant value of 0.000 and a significant level of 5% which means the significance value is 0.000 <0.05 and the student's average score was 86.24, (2) the student's ability to solve problems related to the area of a flat shape using the Direct Instruction model supported by visual media, the results of the calculation obtained a significant value of 1,000 and with a significant level of 5% which means the value the significance is 1,000> 0.05 and the student's average score is 75.00, (3) there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model supported by visual media on the ability to solve problems related to the area of the flat shape of class V SDN Senurus is proven by showing a significant value of 0.000 with the level 5% significant so there is a significant effect

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical writing ability students of class VIII in finishing mathematics problem. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The sampling technique used by puposive sampling technique. The research subject were chosen by 2 students of class VIII consisting of 1 upper class student and 1 lower class student. Based on the results of data anlysis, the mathematical writing ability of upper class student fulfilling three aspect of mathematical writing ability indicators that is written texts, mathematical expressions, and drawing but it is not perfect, while lower class student only fulfilling one aspect of mathematical writing ability indicator that is drawing but not perfect. Therefore, in general the mathematical writing ability of upper class and lower class students is still not perfect because there are indicators that are less indicator fulfilled. This matter caused by misconceptions, miscalculating operations, and lack of students in understanding the material
