Abstract

This study was intended to construct Pacu Jalur ethnic-based contextual model, a learning model developed based on the stages of Pacu Jalur Ethno. This study was a research and development (R&D) study using Borg & Gall stages. This study was developed until the product development stage, which was developing a learning model based on Pacu Jalur Ethno. Then, the product was validated by experts to know the appropriateness of the Pacu Jalur Ethno- based contextual model used in learning. The data were collected by literature review, interviewing, observation, and documentation. Based on the result of the study, Pacu Jalur Ethno based contextual model was appropriate to be implemented in the learning process by using the following syntax: stage 1, planning (merencanakan); stage 2, doing the tasks (membuek jalur); stage 3, discussion (bapacu); and stage 4, closing (panutuik). Pacu Jalur's ethnic-based contextual model described that learning activities could apply local wisdom in the current place where the learning was carried out. Therefore, the learning activities became more concrete since they connected the concept with students’ daily life.

The objectives to be achieved are: To determine the effect of using audio-visual media, parental participation, and learning motivation during the covid-19 pandemic on achievement studying in school. This research method uses a quantitative approach used in this study, namely the quantitative correlational approach. To collect samples using the Problem Examination procedure with a kind of regular randomized examination strategy (Methodical Irregular Examining), with a population of 160, a sample of 32 was obtained. mean scores 3.94, 3.91, and 3.94. 2. Parental participation directly affects the learning achievement of school students in Singkut sub-district with a score of 6.013> 2.048. This means that there is a significant effect between the variables of Parental Participation on learning achievement. 3. The variables using Audio Visual Media, Parental Participation, and Learning Motivation have a value of 57.8% affecting learning achievement obtained from the value of the effective contribution of each variable used in the study, the other 42.2% is influenced by other variables that are not used in research..

Abstract

The main objective of this research was to improve teachers' ability in learning by implementing guidance by supervisors using zoom meetings. During the current covid-19 pandemic, many learning processes were still disrupted so that the learning process became less effective. As a result, the ability of teachers and students decreased. Therefore, there was a need for guidance by supervisors through zoom meetings because it was still not possible for face-to-face meetings. The form of this research is school action research which aims to improve and develop teachers' ability in the learning process. This research was conducted in a kindergarten in Dumai, and the research subject was the teacher. The results showed an increase that occurred after the coaching action for the teachers. It was evident from the percentage of coaching results with an 85% increase which was a quite large increase compared to the previous data. Then, for the results of observing teacher activities in the first cycle, data were found to be 55% with a fairly good category, then in the second cycle, 80% data was found in the very good category. Looking at the data, it can be seen that the teacher's abilities and teaching skills have been improved after learning reflection was carried out in the form of coaching actions by supervisors.

Abstract

This study was to describe the teacher's role in instilling disciplined character in grade IV students at SDN Ciomas 1 Kabupaten Serang. The method in this research was the descriptive qualitative method, a series of activities to obtain data as they were without being under certain conditions, the results of which emphasized meaning. The population or the social situation consisted of three elements, namely places, actors, and activities that interacted in synergy. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that the teacher's role at SDN Ciomas 1 Kabupaten Serang in instilling the students' discipline at grade IV was good. Students who committed disciplinary violations were relatively small since the teacher gave punishments to those students. The factors that caused undisciplined participants came from the students themselves, their peers both in the school environment and those outside the school, and influences from parents and teachers as a result of the lack of classroom mastery and good teaching methods. Thus, it was concluded that the teacher's role was very important in instilling the students' discipline, for example, by providing a good example to his students. When students violated the rules or were not disciplined, the teacher gave educative punishments.

Abstract

The main task of the school supervisor is to supervise the school for which he is responsible. Supervision in this context includes monitoring, supervision, evaluation, reporting, and taking the necessary follow-up steps. This School Action Research was carried out in the fostered junior high school of Kabupaten Rokan Hilir under the supervision of the researcher. This was chosen because it supported the task of school supervisors to find out and try to improve teachers’ competence in the learning process. The stages conducted in school action research were: planning/preparing for action, implementing actions, observing and interpreting, data analysis and reflection. From the results of the study, it was known that the application of the discussion method improved teachers’ understanding in the process of learning activities. By using the discussion method, teachers’ participation become more active, meaning that it tended to be positive in following the process provided by the facilitator as well as in conducting discussions within and between groups. This success was caused by using the discussion method; teachers exchanged experiences, information with one another. In other words, discussion techniques increased cooperation between teachers through the exchange of opinions or information, so that they were more active.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine how to develop Rubergi (Rumah Sumber Energi) Learning Media based on 3-D media at grade IV, to determine the feasibility of Rubergi learning media, and to determine students’ responses to rubergi learning media. This research was conducted at SDN Toyomerto 2, which involved 33 grade IV students. 13 students were on a limited trial. This type of research utilized the Trianto development model. This development consisted of the Definition Stage (Define), the Design Stage (Design), and the Development Stage (Develop). However, the research was limited to the development stage (Develop), which was only up to the final product stage. The instruments used were in the form of a questionnaire sheet for media validation by the lecturer and a students’ response questionnaire sheet. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the feasibility of Rubergi learning media was in very feasible category with a percentage of 87.14% from two media experts, in very feasible category with a percentage of 81.73% from two material experts, and in very feasible category with a percentage of 84.5% from two education experts. The students’ responses to Rubergi learning media in a trial with 13 respondents were 85.72% in the very good category. Based on these results, the final product, Rubergi learning media, was feasible to be used in the learning activities for grade four elementary school students.

Abstract

The problem in this study was that students were in a passive state in learning activities, causing a lack of learning activities. This was because the teacher did not apply learning models or learning media when providing materials. The population in this study were grade five students of SD Negeri 15 Sungailiat. In this study, class VB students were grouped as the experimental class who were taught by using Make A Matching model with the aid of graphic media, and class VA students were grouped as the control class who were taught by using a conventional model. The total number of samples in this study were 31 students in each class. The method used in this study was a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design type of nonequivalent control group design. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documents. The data analysis technique used the t-test (independent sample t-test) with the help of SPPS Version 23. The results of this study indicated that Ha was accepted or there was a significant difference in students’ learning activities in the control class and the experimental class. This was seen from the results of sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, with an average score difference of 34.36%. Thus, this study concluded that Make A Matching model assisted by graphic media were more effective to increase students’ learning activities since students were more active, happy, and enthusiastic in the learning process.
