Abstract

Bone Bolango District has taken quite a role in increasing household waste production. Based on the book of the Sanitation Program Memorandum of Bone Bolango Regency, the level of service for handling household waste is 2.5 percent collected and disposed of to the TPS, 97.5 percent is not transported by the Garbage Man (buried, thrown into the river, dumped into empty land, etc.). 86 percent of household waste management is burned and 5.5 percent is disposed of into rivers / sea / lakes. The practice of sorting waste by households is 11 percent sorted and 89 percent not sorted. In 2017, through the local government, a Waste Collection Site (TPS) was built in Dutohe Barat Village, Kabila District, Bonebolango Regency with the aim that the resulting household waste can be processed and provide economic added value for the local community. The results showed that the overall involvement of the community as a whole was still low and the support provided by the village government was still low. The forms of waste management using the TPS3R approach in Dutohe Barat Village have not been running as they should. The economic potential that can be obtained per month is 3,753,120 rupiah. Community involvement is still low due to their minimal knowledge of how to manage household waste, as well as their low willingness to use compost. Meanwhile, the type of inorganic waste which clearly has economic potential is also only done improperly because of the shortage of workers who are willing to be involved.

Abstract

Provinces in Eastern Indonesia (KTI) have a poverty rate that is relatively higher than the Western Region of Indonesia (KBI). Tourism is a sector of global economic activity that is used by various countries in the world to increase participation in their economic growth. This study aims to determine the projected influence of tourism with the number of domestic and foreign tourists, non-productive age, and human capital measured through education and health on poverty in Eastern Indonesia (KTI) in 2010-2019. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative using panel data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the variable of domestic tourists has a negative effect on poverty, while the variable of non-productive age has a positive effect on poverty. The variables of the number of foreign tourists, education, and health have no effect on poverty in Eastern Indonesia (KTI). These results imply that 1) the government must involve local communities in tourism development, 2) the government must issue policies to regulate non-productive population growth, 3) education improvement must also hone life skills, 4) health facilities and services must able to touch all levels of society

Abstract

Apart from being a source of personal income, entrepreneurship can also open up jobs which will certainly contribute to reducing unemployment. Entrepreneurs must be brave in taking risks, good at taking advantage of opportunities, creative and innovative. Entrepreneurial interest in Indonesia is still very low. The number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is only 0.18 percent of the total population, still far below other countries, namely Malaysia, which is 2 percent, America 4 percent, and Singapore 7 percent. This study aims to find problems faced by business actors to increase business independence through the development of a self-efficacy model. Self-efficacy or self-efficacy is a person's confidence to face problems. An entrepreneur must have the confidence to be able to manage his business. An effort will be successful if it is managed properly. Based on the pre-survey results, there are still many students who are not interested in becoming entrepreneurs because they lack confidence to manage their business.

Abstract

This research aims to: (i) know if the deficit budget policy that has been used is a policy that should always be used to respond to the development of economic conjunctions; and (ii) provide policy alternatives in managing state budgets to maintain economic stability and continuity and people's welfare. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method with content analysis techniques and library research. The results showed that: (i) the deficit budget policy that has been implemented in the management of the state budget is a policy that is less responsive to economic cycles/conjunctions; and (ii) budget policies need to be responsive and flexible in addressing economic cycles/conjunctions. In it, countercyclical policies are needed, controlling economic development so that the phases in the economic conjunction can run more steadily. Thus, the budget is not always packed with deficits to pursue economic growth, but adjusts the conjunction of a growing economy.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit all parts of the world, including Indonesia, has been going on for more than a year. The pandemic forces us to live by observing strict health protocols, namely maintaining distance, wearing masks, washing hands, avoiding crowds. This causes everything to be done through an online system that is not face-to-face, including in conducting financial transactions. Financial transactions can be easily carried out using fintech (financial technology). Fintech plays an important role in economic transactions in the midst of a pandemic. Fintech technology continues to experience very significant improvements and developments. This study intends to provide an explanation of the role of fintech in helping MSMEs in the midst of a pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, namely by looking for secondary data sources from research results and news that are discussed and re-explained to get a conclusion. From the discussion, it can be concluded that the role of fintech in helping MSMEs is financial inclusion, sources of financing, and improving MSME financial literacy.

E-commerce plays an important role in helping MSMEs to survive during the pandemic and continue to carry out their sales activities even though they are hindered by massive social barriers.
