Abstract

This study explains about education of children character which base on local wisdoms in Aceh community. The study used historical, sociological and anthropological approach. The local wisdoms have dealt with Islamic religion which is strongly practiced by Aceh community. Religion and Aceh local wisdoms have become part of Aceh community identity for a long time. In this regard, it can be seen in hadih majah (quotes of Aceh): “hukom ngon adat lagee zat ngon sifeut”, it means that religion and tradition are like substance and attribute that cannot be separated. Children education in Acehnese tradition has several phases namely: azan and iqamah, boh nan (naming of child), peutron aneuk (bringing of child into the ground), aqīqah (sacrificing of goat for new-born baby), doda idi (singing and telling story to the child), euntat beut (bringing of child to Islamic school to recitate the holy Quran), peutamat beut (make special party for children after their finishing recitating of the holy Quran). The result of this study shows that those traditions were very important identities to the children of Aceh particularly to perform a good characters and personalities. It also can grow values of tauhid, kindness, togetherness, and intelligence.-----Kajian ini menjelaskan tentang pendidikan karakter anak yang berbasis kearifan lokal dalam Masyarakat Aceh. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan historis, sosiologis dan antropologis. Kearifan lokal tersebut memiliki kaitan yang erat dengan agama Islam yang dianut secara kuat oleh masyarakat Aceh. Hal ini terlihat dalam hadih majah (pepatah): “hukom ngon adat lagee zat ngon sifeut”, artinya hukum [agama] dan adat, seperti zat dengan sifatnya, tidak dapat dipisahkan. Tradisi mendidik anak dalam masyarakat Aceh dapat disebutkan fase-fasenya yaitu; azan dan iqamah, boh nan (memberi nama), peutron aneuk (bayi diturunkan ke tanah), aqīqah, doda idi (bernyanyi atau bercerita), euntat beut (mengantar mengaji), peutamat beut (tamat mengaji). Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tradisi tersebut merupakan entitas yang cukup penting bagi anak dalam memperoleh pendidikan karakter sehingga tertanam nilai-nilai; ketauhidan, kebaikan, kebersamaan, kepahlawanan dan kecerdasan.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic Boarding) is the oldest educational institution in Indonesia which has a role in character education. The main purpose of this study was to understand leadership style of teachers (clerics) in character education as well as the process to produce competent believers. Religio-paternalistic leadership is based on the value of total admission of religious and educational methods, with emphasis on the application of knowledge resulting believers’ faith and fear of Allah guided by the Quran and Sunnah. To obtain data, the author employed interview, observation and documenter. The Darussalam Gontor Islamic Boarding School in East Java was the field-site of this research.-----Pondok Pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan paling tua di Indonesia memegang peran penting dan strategis dalam pendidikan karakter. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami gaya kepemimpinan (kyai) dalam pendidikan karakter serta  prosesnya sehingga dapat menghasilkan  mu’min yang kompeten. Kepemimpinan religio-paternalistic didasarkan atas nilai-nilai keagamaan dan metode pendidikan totalitas. Totalitas dalam mengutamakan pengaplikasian semua ilmu pengetahuan sehingga menghasilkan mukmin yang beriman dan bertakwa kepada Allah Swt. dengan berpedoman pada al-Qur’an dan as-Sunnah. Penulis focus pada pendidikan karakter berbasis pesantren. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan documenter. Abstract

This experimental study aimed to investigate the effect of the ‘thaharah bermakna’ (meaningful purification)’ through the logo analysis model to build students’ positive characters. The experiment employed the one-group pretest-posttest design involving 22 students of SMP Diponegoro Yogyakarta. The data were collected through a positive character scale (ri = 0.316-0.651, α = 0.929) and a monitoring sheet for the ‘thaharah bermakna’ independent practice. The results of the within subject test showed that the ‘thaharah bermakna’ training and the independent practice for a week were capable of significantly improving students’ positive characters with F = 0.578, p = 0.005 (p<0.010). Before the treatment, the subjects’ mean score was 186.91 and after the treatment their mean score improved to 193.91. The study concluded that the ‘thaharah bermakna’ training through the logo analysis model and an independent practice for a week significantly improved students’ positive characters. In other words, it could be said that the ‘thaharah bermakna’ training was effective to build students’ positive characters. -------Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk melihat  pengaruh pelatihan ’thaharah bermakna’ menggunakan model logoanalisis untuk membentuk karakter positif siswa. Eksperimen menggunakan desain tes awal-tes akhir satu kelompok eksperimen ini melibatkan 22 siswa SMP Diponegoro Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala karakter positif (ri=0,316-0,651, α=0,929) dan lembar monitor praktek mandiri ’thaharah bermakna’. Hasil uji with-in subject menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ’thaharah bermakna’ dan praktek mandiri selama satu minggu, signifikan meningkatkan karakter positif siswa dengan t=0,578 p=0,005 (p<0,010). Sebelum diberi perlakuan, skor rerata subjek sebesar 186,91 dan setelah diberi perlakuan skor rerata subjek meningkat menjadi 193,91. Dalam kajian ini disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ’thaharah bermakna’ dengan menggunakan model logoanalisis dan praktek mandiri selama satu minggu signifikan meningkatkan karakter positif siswa. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa ’thaharah bermakna’ efektif digunakan untuk membentuk karakter positif siswa.

Abstract

Reconstructing patterns of Islamic education to be basic values of religion provides the scope of Islamic education development. Education is an effort to preserve, transfer and transform cultural good values in all its aspects to the younger generation. Patterns of Islamic education in tackling juvenile delinquency including efforts to improve Muslim education strategies concerning the issue of how the implementation of the educational goals of the educational process by looking at the situation and condition, and also how to keep the process there are no disturbances, internally and externally, regarding institutional or social environments. The application of preventive methods (prevention), curative (treatment) and rehabilitative (quarantine) are pivotal for an educator or school organizers, to coach young people in schools can be focused well; therefore, at least it is to reduce misbehavior frequency among adolescents.-----Rekonstruksi pola pendidikan Islam merupakan suatu keharusan dalam  menempatkan nilai-nilai dasar agama yang menyediakan lingkup pengembangan pendidikan Islam. Pendidikan adalah upaya untuk melestarikan, mentransfer dan mengubah nilai-nilai budaya dalam segala aspeknya yang baik untuk generasi muda. Pola pendidikan Islam dalam menanggulangi kenakalan remaja termasuk upaya untuk meningkatkan strategi pendidikan Islam mengenai masalah bagaimana pelaksanaan tujuan pendidikan dari proses pendidikan dengan melihat situasi dan kondisi, serta bagaimana untuk menjaga proses tersebut supaya berjalan tanpa hambatan, internal dan eksternal, dalam lingkungan kelembagaan atau sosial. Penerapan metode preventif (pencegahan), kuratif (pengobatan) dan rehabilitatif (karantina) sangat diperlukan untuk seorang pendidik atau sekolah penyelenggara untuk pembinaan generasi muda di sekolah-sekolah dapat difokuskan baik sehingga setidaknya mengurangi frekuensi perilaku negatif yang terjadi pada remaja.

Abstract

This ‘classroom action research’ aims to determine the effectiveness of the project assessment at Islamic Junior School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) Model Makassar in the VIII/a class as subject research. The study carried out in two cycles, data collection was done by employing three ways: questionnaires, observation and test administration. The result showed that the project assessment was able to improve: 1) student discipline, shown on average 73,78% of the first cycle and the second cycle was 91,72%. 2) Responsibility for student learning, the average seen in the first cycle of 66,37% and 85,77% for the second cycle. 3) Student learning outcomes, the first cycle were 51,72% while in the second cycle there was 17,24% score below the minimum completeness criteria. On the individual test conducted at the end of the second cycle showed that there are only 4 students (13,79%) who had not reached the minimum completeness criteria.-----Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penilaian proyek dalam meningkatkan disiplin dan tanggung jawab belajar siswa. Penelitian dilakukan pada Madrasah Tsanawiyah Model Makassar dengan subyek penelitian siswa kelas VIII/a. Tindakan dilakukan dalam dua siklus, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga cara yaitu angket, observasi dan pemberian tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik penilaian proyek mampu meningkatkan: 1) disiplin siswa, terlihat pada rata-rata siklus pertama sebesar 73,78% dan pada siklus kedua sebesar 91,72%. 2) tanggung jawab belajar siswa, terlihat pada rata-rata siklus pertama sebesar 66,37 dan pada siklus kedua sebesar 85,77. 3) hasil belajar siswa, siklus pertama terdapat 51,72% sedangkan pada siklus kedua terdapat 17,24% skor di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Pada tes individu yang dilakukan pada akhir siklus II hanya terdapat 4 siswa (13,79%) yang belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the nationalism among students Islamic Junior High School (MTs) and Junior High School (SMP) in the District of Serang and Serang Municipality. Statistical analysis show that in order to find a comparison between the national insight MTs and SMP students  in research location by using Test t to sample a large group. Based this study, it is concluded that there was no significant difference between the nationalistic viewpoint MTs and SMP students in Serang Municipality with  MTs  and SMP students in Serang District. However, basing on the difference between the average value the mean between the two groups of respondents turned out to mean price MTs and SMP student groups in Serang City (204.235) were slightly larger than the mean price of MTs and SMP school student groups in the district of Serang (203.765).-----Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi wawasan kebangsaan siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di wilayah Kabupaten Serang dan Kota Serang. Kemudian melakukan analisis statistik dalam rangka mencari perbandingan wawasan kebangsaan antara siswa MTs dan SMP di lokasi penelitian dengan menggunakan Tes “t’ untuk sampel kelompok besar. Dalam studi ini disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara wawasan kebangsaan siswa MTs dan SMP di Kota Serang dengan Siswa MTs dan SMP Kabupaten Serang. Namun demikian, berdasarkan selisih nilai rata-rata (mean) antar kedua kelompok responden ternyata harga mean kelompok siswa MTs dan SMP di Kota Serang (204,235) sedikit lebih besar dibandingkan dengan mean kelompok siswa MTs dan SMP di Kabupaten Serang (203,765).

Abstract

The goal of this paper is to elaborate and to re-invent the competencies needed by early childhood education teachers. Building children’s character from an early age is significant, but the main problem that is often overlooked is the contribution of Early Childhood Education teachers. Children’s character formation is largely determined by the quality of early childhood teachers. So if we want to instill character values required by our nations, the improvement of the quality of early childhood teachers is very significant. In terms of shaping children’s character, they should be equipped with some important skills and competences, because they have a significant role in building the Indonesian Children’s characters needed in global competition without abandoning their identity as a dignified Indonesian.-----Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan menemukan kembali kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh guru PAUD. Pembentukan karakter anak usia dini sangat ditentukan dengan kualitas guru PAUD. Sehingga jika kita ingin menanamkan nilai-nilaikarakter yang dibutuhkan oleh anak bangsa kita, maka peningkatan kualitas guru PAUD sangatlah signifikan. Dalam hal pembentukan karakteranak, seorang guru PAUD harus dibekali dengan beberapa keahlian dan kompetensi, karena mereka bertanggung jawab untuk membentuk generasi Indonesia yang mampu berkarya di tingkat Internasional, tanpa meninggalkan identitasnya sebagai bangsa Indonesia yang bermartabat.

Abstract

Most religious studies (read: how to conduct the fiqh) is dominated by the tendency of theory-centric. As a result, in the social context, the doctrine contained in the fiqhhas not often been seen in the direction of the practical forms of life. Therefore, in accordance with the nature and process of ijtihad, changes the perspective ofjurisprudence; hence, it becomes more realistic and dynamic, is possible and necessary. Thus, fiqh can be optimized and actualized as the values and behavior insocial life which continues to develop. According to the cleric Mahfud, there have to be spirit to change the paradigm of the paradigm on how to do the fiqh from "truthorthodoxy" towards paradigm of "social meaning," If the first deals with reality on truth and the character fiqh is "black and white" in facing the reality, the seconduses jurisprudence as a "counter discourses" and demonstrates a meaningful character.

Abstract

This paper explores the implementation of Islamic law in Indonesia. Islamic law has been established and legally recognized in Indonesian Muslim society which certainly has the power to force the application of Islamic law to the people, especially Muslims. Canons of Islamic law derived from revelation to man; therefore, it is different with the canons of Islamic jurisprudence that there is no compulsion for the implementation involves aspects of human life, especially Muslims. In Indonesia, the canons of Islamic law had been implemented but are still limited in the scope of civil Islam. More specifically related to family law and its implementation is particularly devoted to the Muslim community.

Abstract

Existentialism puts humans at the center point of all human relationships. It is rooted in an effort to keep a distance with all hegemony to discover the existence and the essence of self. Human must be conscious of his humane to find out the existence of himself (l'être-en-soi). Since, it is believed that no other creatures besides humans that exists. Freedom is the essence of human beings; usually humans are always free to create him-self. Humans are free to organize, select and can give meaning to reality.
