Abstract

ABSTRAKTerdapat beberapa upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kedelai, salah upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pengembangan benih dengan penggunaan varietas unggul. Adopsi varietas-varietas unggul oleh petani adalah salah satu dalah salah satu ukuran keberhasilan program penilaian teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kecepatan adopsi varietas unggul kedelai serta kelayakannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kabupaten Musi Rawas, Musi Banyuasin dan Lahat pada 2010. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara secara individual kepada petani. Strata petani dikelompokkan kecepatan adopsi varietas unggul 1-2 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan, 3-4 dan 5-6 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur petani, pendidikan petani, area tanam kedelai, pengalaman usahatani kedelai, kompatibilitas, triabilitas, observabilitas, cosmopolitan, saluran komunikasi, media komunikasi, intensitas konseling, profitabilitas relative usahatani dan jumlah anggota keluarga yang ikut serta dalam usahatani kedelai memiliki perbedaan signifikan diantara tiga strata. Pengalaman berusahatani kedelai memiliki korelasi signifikan dengan kecepatan petani dalam mengadopsi varietas yang dikembangkan, sementara faktor lainya memiliki korelasi dengan signifikansi yang tinggi. Petani yang mengadopsi varietas-varietas 1-2 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan, 3-4 dan 5-6 musim tanam setelah direkomendasikan memperoleh pendapatan usahatani kedelai sebesar Rp 3.742.255/ha; Rp 3.554.105/ha dan Rp 2,240,925/ha dengan nilai R/C 1.58; 1.53 dan 1.39.Kata Kunci: Adopsi, kedelai, kelayakan usahatani             ABSTRACTTo increase the productivity of soybeans, one of the efforts that can be done is by improving the seeds that using high yielding varieties. Adoption of high yielding varieties by farmers is one measure for success of technology assessment program. This research have aims to find out the factors that influenced to the adoption acceleration of advance variety of soybean and its feasibility. This research was conducted in Musi Rawas, Musi Banyuasin and Lahat Regencies in 2010. Data collected through interviews of individual farmers. Strata farmers are grouped into the speed of adopting high yielding varieties 1-2 planting season after the recommended, 3-4 and 5-6 planting season after the recommended. The results showed that the age of farmers, farmer education, area of soybean planting, soybean farming experience, compatibility, triability, observability, cosmopolitan, complexity, communication channels, communication media, counseling intensity, the relative profitability of farming and family members that joint in soybean farming has a significant difference between the three strata. Soybean farming experience was significantly correlated with the speed of farmers to adopt improved varieties, while other factors were highly significant correlated. Farmers who adopt improved varieties 1-2 planting season after the recommended, 3-4 and 5-6 planting season after the recommended get soybean farm incomes as follow Rp 3.742.255/ha; Rp 3.554.105/ha and Rp 2,240,925/ha with R/C 1.58; 1.53 and 1.39.Key words: Adoption, soybean, farming feasibility

Abstract

ABSTRACTFAO and World Bank’s predictions about the threat of food crisis in 2025 had a special attention from the many countries over the world. Indonesia had several programs to keep the food security. One of this campaigns was changing consumer behavior from rice to yam group. In this program cassava was chosen as a national strategic food like rice and corn. One of the food agroindustry from cassava that have a potential market is Krepek Tette. But, This Business Opportunity of Maduraness traditional food had not cultivated seriously. Krepek Tette’s Agroindustry is just a side job with small scale production for local. The aim of this study was to calculated the economic value added and the profit opportunity by Krepek Tette’s Agroindustry so that this activity become one of the local livelihood choice. The Hayami’s value added was used to analysed this research. The result of this study shows in once production of Krepek tette’s agroindustry is small scale but feasible and prifitable.Keywords: Cassava, Agroindustry, Hayami, Value Added.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKebutuhan pangan di Indonesia untuk saat ini belum dapat tercukupi karena, pertanian di Indonesia belum bisa dikelola dengan baik, untuk saat ini peran para petani sangat dibutuhkan guna untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pangan di Indonesia. Melihat permasalahan di atas tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi tercapainya ketahanan pangan dalam ketersediaan pangan secara nasional  yang dapat disiasati dengan ketersediaan pangan,  mengembangkan kelembagaan, solusi diversifikasi pangan secara nasional sehingga dapat terwujud ketahanan pangan dan tidak ketergantungan pada pangan pokok masyarakat. Pangan merupakan komoditas penting dan strategis bagi bangsa Indonesia mengingat pangan adalah kebutuhan dasar manusia yang harus dipenuhi oleh pemerintah dan masyarakat secara bersama-sama seperti diamanatkan oleh  Undang Undang Nomor 7 tahun 1996 tentang pangan. Dalam UU tersebut dinyatakan bahwa Pemerintah menyelenggarakan pengaturan, pembinaan, pengendalian dan pengawasan,masyarakat menyelenggarakan proses produksi dan penyediaan, perdagangan, distribusi serta berperan sebagai konsumen yang berhak memperoleh pangan yang cukup dalam jumlah dan mutu, aman, bergizi, beragam, merata, dan terjangkau oleh daya beli masyarakat. Kecukupan pangan  untuk kepentingan masyarakat secara nasional, tercapainya target kecukupan pangan dengan adanya sistem ketahanan pangan di Indonesia secara komprehensif meliputi empat sub-sistem, yaitu: ketersediaan pangan dalam jumlah dan jenis yang cukup untuk seluruh masyarakat secara nasional, distribusi pangan yang lancar, harga pangan murah dan terjangkau oleh lapisan masyarakat secara nasional, merata keseluruh daerah-daerah di Indonesia, konsumsi pangan setiap individu terpenuhi kecukupan gizi seimbang dapat menikmati yang berdampak pada kecukupan pangan dengan baik dan status gizi masyarakat Indonesia terpenuhi  secara regional.Kata Kunci : ketahanan pangan, ketersediaan pangan, strategi pangan regional ABSTRACTFood needs in Indonesia to date can not be fulfilled because of agriculture in Indonesia can not be managed well, for now the role of farmers is urgently needed to increase food productivity in Indonesia. Looking at the above problems purpose of this paper to find out how to achieve food security strategy in the national food availability can be circumvented by ketersdiaan food, develop institutional, food diversification solutions nationally to enable the creation of food security and reliance on staple foods. Food is an essential and strategic commodity for Indonesia since food is a basic human need that must be met by the government and the community together as mandated by Law No. 7 of 1996 concerning food. Mentioned in the Act Government organized setting, coaching, control and supervision, while community organizing production processes and supply, trading, distribution and function as consumers are entitled to adequate food in quantity and quality, safe, nutritious, diverse, equitable, and affordable by the community. Food security for the benefit of the national community, the achievement of food sufficiency targets with a system of food security in Indonesia comprehensively covers four sub-systems, namely: the availability of food in sufficient quantity and type for the entire national community, lancer food distribution, food prices cheap and affordable by the national society, evenly throughout the regions in Indonesia, each individual food consumption is met can enjoy a balanced nutrition that impact on the food security and nutritional status of both the people of Indonesia met nationally.Keywords: achievement strategies, at regional food

Abstract

ABSTRACTBeans (Phaseolusvulgaris .L.)have been known as an important vegetable for a long time. Although the use ofgreen beans as daily consumptiontendsto decline, the demandas rawmaterial in agribusinessindustryandotherstendsto increase. This situation open the opportunity for PT. Benih CitraAsia (BCA),a horticulture breeding company, to collaborate with farmers producingseeds including green beans seedthrough contract farming arrangement. This research aims to identify opportunities andbenefits of involving in a contractfarming arrangement for farmers, factorsaffecting income,income’s value and farm management cost efficiency. This research was conducted in Wuluhan Sub District, Jember Regency. The data was analyzedby using SWOTanalysis, the multiplier linear regression model, income analysis andR/Cratio. Resultsshowed that: (1) contract-farming arrangement located in SWOT whitearea(ideal). It also indicated that there was strongopportunityandbenefit for both parties involved. (2) Seed cost (X2), fertilizer costs(X3), labor costs(X5) andtotalproduction(X6) were found as factors influencing farmers’ income with significant level of 95%. (3) The average income per hectare of beans farming in Wuluhan Sub District Jember Regency was Rp.5.248.213,10. (4) R/C ratio of this farm management was more than one (1,43),it indicated that the using of cost in green beans farm management was efficient. Keywords: contractfarming, incomefactors, cost efficiency, income.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat efisiensi produksi, alokatif dan ekonomis petani jagung terhadap usaha tani jagung lokal, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi produksi. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa analisis fungsi produksi stochastic frontier yang diestimasi  dengan metoda maximum likelihood (MLE) dengan memakai program komputasi frontier versi 4.1 yang dikembangkan oleh Coelli (1996). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efisiensi ekonomi komoditi jagung lokal di kecamatan Guluk-Guluk Kabupaten Sumenep sebesar 0,676. Efisiensi teknis sebesar 0,29 (belum efisien), sedangkan efisiensi alokatif/harga sebesar 3,108 (sudah efisien). Faktor yang secara nyata mempengaruhi efisiensi ekonomi adalah pengalaman usahatani dan pendidikan formal petani. Faktor yang secara nyata mempengaruhi efisiensi teknis usahatani adalah pengalaman usahatani.Kata kunci : Jagung, Efisiensi Teknis, Efisiensi Alokatif, Efisiensi EkonomiABSTRACTThe purpose of the research is to analyze the level of production efficiency, alokatif and economical corn farmers on local corn farmer, analyzes the factors that affect the level of production efficiency. The analysis of the data used in the analysis of stochastic frontier production function which is being estimated by the method of maximum likelihood (MLE) using the computing frontier version 4.1 program developed by Coelli (1996). The result showed that the level of economic efficiency comodities Fakultas Pertanian localized in sub-district sumenep guluk-guluk district of 0,676. Technical efficiency of 0,29 ( not efficient ), while efficiency alokatif / price of 3,108 ( efficient ). Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in the village of West Kwanyar, Kwanyar District, Bangkalan. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance and financial feasibility of agro-industries of prawn cracker. The sampling method in this study use a purposive technique that is implemented in the West Kwanyar Village, Kwanyar District. The analysis used was a qualitative descriptive analysis to determine the performance profile agro prawn crackers, while the agro-industry analysis of the financial feasibility of prawn crackers use quantitative descriptive analysis is the calculation of BEP, R/C ratio and ROI. The technique of data collected by through observation, questionnaires, interviews, literature study and documentation. Based on research result shows that the performance profile of agro-industrial scale prawn crackers is a household that is using the loan capital as initial capital to start a business, yet have a business license so that the market is still in the vicinity of Sub Kwanyar by using two channels, the first manufacturer to distributor and then to the consumer and finally manufacturer to market directly to consumers. Is financially feasible to develop agro-industry that is obtained from the calculation of cost and revenue analysis, analysis of BEP (Break Even Point), R/C Ratio (Revenue Cost Ratio) and ROI (Return on Investment).Keywords: the performance, agro-industry, financial feasibility

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui posisi bersaing jahe instan produk CV. Intrafood dan strategi bersaing yang dapat direkomendasikan untuk meraih keberasilannya. Metode dasar yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Penentuan lokasi penelitian ditentukan dengan metode purposive, yaitu CV. Intrafood Surakarta. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis Perceptual Mapping. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa jahe instan produk CV Intrafood berada pada peringkat ke-2 dari produk empat jahe instan yang diperbandingkan. Atribut yang dapat dijadikan kekuatan utama dalam meningkatkan pemasaran jahe instan produk CV. Intrafood adalah manfaat produk. Sisi yang paling lemah adalah atribut desain kemasan dan kinerja produk dalam kemasan.Kata Kunci: Jahe Instan, Strategi, Perceptual Mapping

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to examine the effect of farming in the drawdown area of the Multi-purpose dam of Wonogiri to the welfare of the farmers and their families. About 63 farmers who engaged in a contractual arrangement with PT. Jasa Tirta I, represented by the Division IVwere selected for the field survey and interviews. The compelemntary data was collected through a series of Focus Group discussins (FGD)The study indicates that (a) the drawdown farming contributes 25,54% to the annual household income which is higher than the contribution of the farming outside the drawndown area. A large amount of drawndown income is primarily contributed by the corn aside from paddy and soybean; (b) the drawdown farming offers 28,11% to the total expenses of the household food consumption in a cropping season. This figure is higher than the contibution offered by farming outside the drawdown site, that is about 26,09%. Keywords: farming in the drawdown area of Multipurpose dam, income contribution

Abstract

ABSTRAKTeknologi pertanian diharapkan dapat membantu petani untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Berbagai teknologi pertanian telah diperkenalkan dan disebarluaskan kepada petani, tetapi sebagian besar petani pedesaan masih dianggap tertinggal dari masyarakat lain. Kajian ini bertujuan  mempelajari kegagalan penyebaran teknologi pertanian dalam mengentaskan kemiskinan di daerah pedesaan. Berdasar kajian ini nantinya diharapkan mampu merumuskan strategi dari asepk sosiologis terkait penyebaran teknologi pertanian. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor sosial, ekonomi dan kelembagaan perlu mendapat perhatian lebih dari pembuat kebijakan baik di tingkat nasional dan lokal dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan dampak diseminasi teknologi pertanian dalam peningkatan kesejahteraan petani di daerah pedesaan.Kata kunci: Adopsi Teknologi Pertanian, Pendekatan Sosiologis, Pembagunan Pedesaan.ABSTRACTAgricultural technology is expected to help farmers to improve welfare. Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini  adalah mengidentifikasi proses keputusan pembelian  dan menganalisis atribut yang dipertimbangkan oleh konsumen dalam pembelian mi instan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bangkalan. Sampel diambil  dengan metode Cluster Sampling. Data dianalisis dengan metode diskriptif kualitatif dan konjoin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses keputusan pembelian mi terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu pengenalan kebutuhan, pencarian informasi, evaluasi alternatif, proses pembelian, dan perilaku pasca pembelian. Sedangkan kombinasi atribut yang diinginkan oleh konsumen dalam pembelian mi instan secara berurutan adalah kemasan plastik, harga Rp. 1.750, bentuk  bulat, bentuk kemasan kotak, rasa gurih, berukuran  100 gr, dan berwarna kuning.Kata Kunci : Preferensi Konsumen, Mi Instan, Konjoin ABSTRACTThe Goals of this research are to identify the process of purchasing decision and analyze the attribute which is considered by consumer in purchasing instant noodle. The Samples are taken with cluster sampling method. The data are analyzed with the qualitative descriptive and conjoint methods. The result shows that the process of noodle purchasing decision consists  several stage. They are the need introduction, the information seach,  the purchasing process, and the behavior after purchasing. While the attribute combination which is wanted by consumer in instant noodle purchasing are the plastic packaging, the price approximately Rp. 1,750, the rounded shape, the square packaging shape, the savory flavor, the size approximately 100 gram, and the yellow color.Keywords : Consumer preference, noodle instant, conjoint
