Abstract

In this study, a research has been conducted from July until December 2013 in order to determine The Relationship Among The Principals Leadership, Supervision and the Teachers Work Satisfaction Towards The Work Performance of The Science Teachers in Timika Adventist Academy. Furthermore, descriptive analysis was used during the process of research. The population of this study is the science teachers of Timika Adventist Academy with 23 teachers as sample. The instrument being used in collecting the data is quetionnaire and the data analysis uses SPSS version 16.0 application. The result of the reseach show that the principal leadership has a significant influence toward the science teachers’ work performance about 73,10%. While the supervision done by principal toward the same teachers contributes 55,10%. The rest about 72,42% is the contribution of the teachers work satisfaction. In conclusion all togather, the principal leadership, supervision, and the teachers work satisfaction have significant influence toward the Timika Adventist Academy science teachers’ work performance about 84,10%. Those factors respectively has role in achieving an optimal teachers work performance. Keywords: Principals leadership, supervision, work satisfaction.

Abstract

For lecturers, in terms of designing learning strategies should consider the input characteristics such as the tendency of learning styles, motivation and other factors. Therefore important for teachers to be aware of her teaching style for there is no gap between lecturers and students. For students hendanya realize the type of learning style that is owned in order to choose the most effective way of learning according to need. Has done research on the effect of learning styles on student learning outcomes in course of basic physics II on physical education courses that aim to determine the effect of learning styles on learning outcomes in student of basic physics II. The population in this study were all students of physical education courses the second semester of 2009/2010 and the force is the total sample of 31 students. Data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires and documentation. Analysis using SPSS. Results showed that learning styles possessed by students of physics education courses the second semester is a type of visual learning style. Learning styles have significant impacts on student learning outcomes with t statistic p-value of 0.000 (

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk menelaah perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman dan komunikasi antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran fisika dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu diungkap pula sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika dan perkembangan karakter siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Bina Taruna Papua Masni. Sesuai dengan desain yang digunakan dipilih 2 kelas sebagai sampel dari 3 kelas yang dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas pertama sebagai kelas ekperimen dan kelas kedua sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas ekperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dan kelas control memperoleh Pembelajaran Konvensional. Pengumpulan data hasil penelitian menggunakan instrumen berupa soal-soal tes kemampuan pemahaman dan Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi, angket skala sikap siswa, dan angket perkembangan karakter siswa. Data yang diperoleh dari tes kemampuan pemahaman dan Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi dianalisis secara kuantitatif, sedangkan data hasil angket skala sikap dan angket perkembangan karakter di analisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman dan Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi yang lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran konvensional/biasa. Analisis data angket skala sikap memperlihatkan bahwa siswa bersikap positif terhadap pembelajaran fisika, baik terhadap pelajaran fisika, model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, maupun terhadap soal-soal pemahaman dan Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi. Hasil analisis angket perkembangan karakter menunjukkan bahwa karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa berada pada level Mulai Berkembang, sedangkan perkembangan karakter kejujuran dan kedisiplinan siswa berada pada level Membudaya. Kata kunci :Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Kemampuan Pemahaman Fisika, Kemampuan Berfikir Tingkat Tinggi.

Abstract

The use of modules in the process of learning can improve student learning outcomes, because through the use of the module, students are able to learn independently and do not always depent on the teacher and other parties. This study is a research and development ( R & D) which aims to develop learning modules exiunine the effectiveness of chemistry and the use of modules in the learning press. The design used is one type of equivalent pretest -postest design. The study sample was 46 students were devided into two group : the experimental group of 23 students who use the learning modules and 23 students as a control group without using the module studi.Result showed that there were significant differences between the learning outcomes of students who learn to use the module with students learn without the use of modules. It can be seen the result of the analisys of diferent test N- over all gain, the value obtained is 0,000 significance smaller than 0,05 (p < 0,05). Therefore, the value of N- gain over all in the experimental class that is 0,72 higher than the control clas is 0,68 ( 0,72> 0,68), it can be concluded that the terning module using chemistrycan inprove understanding concepts students learn in order to obtain optimal result. Abstract

This Research is suppose to : (1) know model application type TAI on learning cooperative to improve the active learning and understanding concept on math of student in grade XI software engineering in vocational school 1 Jayapura (2) know the distinguish active learning between class which using model cooperative learning type TAI to class which using model conventional in grade XI of software engineering in vocational school 1 Jayapura. This Research using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. We take the population in all grade XI of vocational school 1 Jayapura 2012/2013. We use sampling purposive technique in this research. Software engineering A dan B grade XI as a class control. Collecting data using test method and untest. Technique analyse by normality test, homogeneity test, N Gain and difference test and hypothesis test by Independent t-Tes. The Result indicate that there are increasing concept understand on items of line and deret after applying the model cooperative learning type TAI grade XI software engineering in vocational school 1 Jayapura and the distinguish active learning between class which using model cooperative learning type TAI to class which using conventional learning of software engineering student grade XI in vocational school 1 Jayapura. In other word, application model cooperative learning type TAI of student software engineering grade XI in vocational school 1 Jayapura 2012/2013 able to improve the active learning and understanding concept on math. Abstract

The aims of this research is to determine the chemistry instructional model to improve student learning outcomes, communicative and self confidence character’s for XI grade of senior high school on teaching solution chemistry. The 3 experiment class as a samples were taken by purposive random sampling respectively from 3 units of state senior high school (SMA Negeri) in Medan. These experiment class were taught by various teaching model. The experiment class-1 (Ec-1) taught by direct instruction strategy, experimen class-2 (Ec-2) by problem-based learning without media and experiment class-3 (Ec-3) by problem-based learning using the Internet media. The achievement test about solution chemistry used as instrument to know student outcomes, and quisionary and observation list used as intrument to know how communicative and confidence student characters. The one-way ANOVA in SPSS 19 for windows program used to hypothesis testing at α = 0.05 level of significance. The results shows (1) There is a significant differences of students learning outcomes between students which taught by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (2) There is a significance differences of student communicative character between students which taught by by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (3) There is a significance differences of student self confidence character between students which taught by by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (4) There is a significant corelation between student communicative character with student learning outcomes in class who taught by problem-based learning using internet media. (5) There is a significant corelation between self-confident character with student learning outcomes in class who taught by direct instruction, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning using internet media. Abstract

This study aims to Know (1) The application of problem-based learning model through experimental method with a lecture on the differences in the activity of learners grade XI on the concept of magnetism in SMAN 1 Sentani. Abstract

The research of the effect of teacher certification allowancess and work motivation on senior high school mathematic and natural science teacher performance in Jayapura regency. This research aims to know the effect of certification benefits (X1), work motivation (X2), and with the same allowances teacher certification (X1), work motivation (X2), on senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers performance in Jayapura regency (Y). Type of the research is a quantitative from of correlation. Sampling technique us saturated sample. The results showed (1) there is strong relationship between the variables of teacher certification (X1) to performance benefits of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency (Y) at r = 0,595. While the donations of teacher certification to the performance benefit of senor high school mathematic and natural science techers in Jayapura regency at r square = 0,354 = 35,40%. (2) There is strong relationship between the variables of work motivation (X2) to the performance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency (Y) at r = 0,679, while the donations of work motivation to the performance benefit of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency at r Square = 0,461 = 46,10%. (3) With the magnitude of variable allowances teacher certification (X1) and work motivation (X2) to the performance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency (Y) at r = 0,709, this means there is strong relationship between teacher certification allowances and work motivation jointly on the performance of teachers of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency, The magnitude of teacher certification allowances and motivation to work together on teacher performance and motivation work collectively equal to the perormance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teacher in Jayapura regency at r square = 0,502 = 50,20%. The result of this study showed the significant effect between teacher certiication allowances, work motivation and the madnitude of teacher certification allowances and work motivation to the perormance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in jayapura regency. Abstract

This study aimed to determine : (1) distinction of students biology learning outcomes who follwed guided discovery learning model with direct instructional (conventional) (2) The diffrences of students learning outcomes in bilogy who has higher motivation, medium, and poor in learning, (3) There is interaction of learning model with motivation level on bilogy class. From 3 (three) propoded hipotesis the results showed that (1) there is significantly diffrenent between guided discovery learning model with drect intrucstional model, value sig 0,001 < α 0,05. (2) there is significant interaction between level of students motivation in learning biology learning outcome, value sig 0,002 < α 0,05, and (3) there is no interaction between the model of learning with the students level of motivation, value sig 0,611 > α 0,05. Abstract

This Research is suppose to : (1) To know the relationship between Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Motivation Student Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City, (2) determine the relationship between Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Student Results Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City (3) determine the effect of Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Motivation Student Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City. (4) Effect of Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Student Results Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City. The results showed that: (1) there is a weak relationship between Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Motivation Student Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0,386 with a coefficient determinant of 14,9 %. (2) there is a weak relationship between competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Student Results Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient of 0,231 with a coefficient determinant of 5,4 % (3) Based on the hypothesis testing results obtained with the t test value of t (5,165) > t table (1,701) which states that in the study of Ho rejected and Ha is accepted, there is effect of Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Motivation Student Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City (4) Based on the hypothesis test results obtained with the t test value of t (5,165) > t table (1,701) which states that in the study of Ho rejected and Ha accepted, means that there is a significant effect of Competence Pedagogic Teacher Chemistry against Student Results Class XI Science from high school in the Village of Sentani City. In other words, pedagogical competence chemistry teacher affects motivation and learning chemistry, but its influence is weak.
