This research is motivated by the studentâs understanding of mathematical concepts and learn the spirit students of SMPN 27 Padang grade VIII is still low. This study aims to determine whether studentsâ understanding of mathematical concepts with Sucker Ball game better understanding of the mathematical concepts that students apply classroom learning in the conventional SMPN 27 Padang grade VIII.This type of research is experimental, with the design of randomized trials to subjek. The population in this study were SMPN 27 Padang grade VIII that consists of seven classes listed in the school year 2013/2014. This technique take was randomly sampled, which was selected as the sample classes are VIII.3 as an experimental class and VIII.4 as control class.The instrument used in this study is a test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Form used is the essay test with a reliability test was 0,92. Data analysis techniques used were the t test of side. Based on the analysis of the data found that the two classes are normally distributed and the sample is not homogeneous. Hypothesis test results obtained t calculated= 2,47 and t table= 0,607, because t calculated > t table, so the hypothesis in this study was received. So it can be concluded that the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concepts apply sucker ball game better understanding of the mathematical concepts that students apply classroom learning in the conventional SMPN 27 Padang grade VIII academic year 2013/2014

This research is based by the lack of understanding of the mathematical concepts that still low, reading comprehension of student with subject matter, textbook owned does not used properly, and student lest to practice or given opportunity for deliver about their understanding with reading topic. This research is aimed at knowing wheather the understanding of the mathematics concept of the students who are treated by used Reciprocal Teaching approach is better than understanding of the mathematics concepts of the students with conventional teaching. This type of research is experimental. The population of research is student class VIII SMPN 1 Gunung Tuleh West Pasaman 2012/2013 academic year that consist of 5 class. The technik data collection have done is random sampling, the class had choosen VIII4 for ekspriment class and class VIII3 for control class. Instrumen that used of post test with indicator concept understanding. Hypothesis test result that gotten P-value is 0,007<a, so it means that hypothesis is accepted, consequently it can be concluded that the understanding of the mathematics concept of the students who are treated by used  Reciprocal Teaching approach is better than understanding of the mathematics concept of the students with conventional teaching class VIII SMPN 1 Gunung Tuleh Kabupaten West Pasaman.

This research was conducted based on the fact that the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concepts was still low. The students were less inclined and get bored to be engaged in a group discussion. The aim of this research was to see whether the use of Course Review Horey cooperative learning model gave better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics in class VIII of SMPN 12 Padang. This experimental research applied random design toward the subject. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 12 Padang. The instrument used was a post-test whose indicator was conceptual understanding. The data then was analyzed by using one way t-test. After the model applied, the average score of the students in the experimental class was 75,96 and the standard deviation was 17,32, and the average score for the control one was 56,34 and the standard deviation was 15,97. The result of the post-test indicated that tcalculated (4,63) > ttable (1,67). Thus, it was concluded that the use of Course Review Horey cooperative learning model could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concepts better than that of the conventional one in class VIII of SMPN 12 Padang in Academic Year 2012/2014.

 This research did based on the studentsâ problem at grade VII SMPN 29 padang in learning mathemathics which make the students get overwhelmed in finishing the task if the teacher give different exercise with the example given by the student.The type of this research is experimental research in which the research subjects are chosen randomly. The sampling methods did randomly. There are two classes that become tha sample they are VII7 as exerimental class and VII6 as control class.The instrument used by the researche is quiz and mathematics concept comprehension test by using essay form with the reablility test is .the data analysis that is used is one side t test. Based on the result of data analysis it is known that both of sample classes is normal and homogen distribution in the real degree α = 0,05. the result of hypothesis testing got from P-value = 0,001 is lower than α = 0,05, therefore the hypothesis, in this research, is accepted

This research was conducted based on the phenonema indicating  that the students have no concern with learning that their understanding of mathematical concept have low, that can be seen from the completion percentage of II-semester examination points of VII- and VIII-grade students. The purposes of this research are to know the student activities by applying the guided-note-taking-type active learning strategy and the student understanding of mathematical concept by using the active learning strategy with Guided Note Taking type was better than the student mathematical concept apprehension by applying the conventional learning of the VIII-grade students of SMPN 28 Padang. This was experimental research. The instruments used in this research are observation sheet of student activities and final tests.  The results of student activity analysis show that the activities risen  an improvement, and from the hypothesis testing it is obtained that P-value is 0.009 so that H0 is rejected and the hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the student activities can improve by applying the guided-note-taking-type active learning strategy and the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by using this strategy was better than that by using the conventional at the VIII-grade of SMPN 28 Padang.

The low students achievement in mathematics learning on MTsN Batang Kapas will become the background in this research. So, the purpose of the research is to find out whether does comprehension of mathematical concepts of students by using strategy learning cycle give significant effect better than mathematical concepts of students by using conventional study. The design of this research is experimental research. The population in this research is all of students at eight grade MTsN Batang Kapas in 2012/2013 academic years. Researcher thought the way of choosing sample by using random sampling, which is the sample of class VIIIA and VIIIB. In this case, the instrument that the researcher will use is comprehension of mathematical concepts. The form of this test is essay, which is the reliability of this test is r11=0,85. Technique of data analysis will use ttest. Based on the hypothesis testing, P-value=0,035 < α=0,05. So, this hypothesis is accepted. It means comprehension of mathematical concepts of students by using the strategy learning cycle better than comprehension of mathematical concept of students by using conventional study.

The Background of this research was the comprehension of mathematical concepts. This research therefore aims to determine how studentsâ learning activities with the implementation of active learning strategy The Power Of Two with student work sheet types and to determine whether student comprehension of mathematical concept by applying active learning strategy types The Power Of Two was better than the student comprehension of mathematis concepts with the application of learning conventional class IX student of SMPN 2 Dua Koto. This type of research was experimental research. Population in this research is class IX student of SMPN 2 Dua Koto consisting of three classes. The sampling technique is done randomly, which was selected as the sample classes are class IX 3 as the experiments class and class IX 1 as the control class. The instrument used in this final test with indicator of comprehension the concept. Form of test used was a form of essay with a reliability test was 0,709. Hypothesis testing use a t-test with the  of the software MINITAB. Based on the analysis of the data found P-value was less than , then this hypothesis is accepted. Thus concluded that the student comprehension of mathematical concept with application of active learning strategy types The Power Of Two with student work sheet was better than the student comprehension of mathematis concept with coventional learning in class IX SMPN 2 Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman.

This research of background is the important of mathematics concept comprehension studentâs, and the unusually of studentâs discuss with their friend. This research to determine how indicator of studentâs concept comprehension about studentâs mathematics concept by using active learning strategy type The Learning Cell, to determine  what is mathematics concept comprehension of studentâs by using active learning strategy type The Learning Cell better than studentâs mathematics concept comprehension using conventional. The kind of this research is experiment, by using random sampling research. The formulation is all of IX SMPN 1 Batang Kapas and the sample is IX.5 as experiment class and IX.4 as control class. The instrument that is used in this research are quiz and test. The function of quiz is to see the development of studentâs mathematics concept comprehension indicator an the test used to see mathematics concept comprehension that consist of seven items in essay form with reability 0,98. Based on the quantitative analysis that is done on normality test by using MINITABâS program we can get p-value 0,713 for experiment class and p-value 0,909 for control class, soo the hypothesis using t test by significant 0,05. Based on description of data and hypothesis test, can be conclude that the studentâs mathematics by using active learning type The Learning Cell is better than studentâs mathematics concept comprehension by using conventional learning studentâs.

Background of the research is the understanding of mathematical concepts eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Talamau still low. This is because students are embarrassed to ask and collectively with teachers and students prefer to ask friends rather than to the teacher. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts using peer tutors teaching handout accompanied a better understanding of mathematical concepts than students using conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talamau. This type of research is experimental research. The study population was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Talamau listed in the school year 2013/2014. Samples were VIII1 class as the experimental class and the control class VIII3. The research instrument was a final test, the reliability is 0.887. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average student learning outcomes experimental class was 57.71 higher than the control class is 45.10. Data analysis was obtained  = 1.72 is greater than = 1.68. Thus, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using peer tutors with teaching handouts better than students with an understanding of mathematical concepts using conventional learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talamau.

This background research is based on the studentsâ concept comprehension of mathematical which still lower so as impact it makes low  their learning result to the students at Junior High School  Muhammadiyah 6 Padang in seventh class. This research aims to know what is comprehension of mathematical studentsâ concept by applying model study of type cooperative of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) better than comprehension of mathematical studentsâ concept with conventional study at students Junior High School Muhammadiyah 6 Padang in seventh class. The type of this research is an experiment research with take of random to subject. Research population is all students Junior High School Muhammadiyah 6 Padang in seventh class, period 2012 / 2013. Intakes of samples are conducted randomly. Chosen class is class of VII.2 as experiment class and class of VII.3 as control class. Research instrument is final test which in form of essays with reliabilities test is 0,91. Technique analyses data which is use test of t one side constructively MINITAB. Based on the result of hypothesis test obtained P-value equal to its 0,008 meaning smaller than α that is 0,05. So that can be concluded that comprehension of mathematical studentsâ concept by applying model study of type cooperative of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) better than comprehension of mathematical studentsâ concept with conventional study at student Junior High School Muhammadiyah 6 Padang in seventh class.
