Background of this research the interest of students in learning mathematics is still less so the comprehension of mathematics concepts is low in VIII grade and it can be seen from math quiz point in VIII grade at SMPN 5 Padang academic year of 2013/2014. This research aimed to determine whether students comprehension of mathematics concepts by implementing cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together using Comic better than conventional learning in VIII grade at SMPN5 Padang. This type of research is experimental research using design randomized trials on the subject. The research population was a VIII grade at SMPN 5 Padang academic year of 2013/2014 except class VIII1 and VIII2 because it has a different Minimum Completeness Criteria. Technique sample using randomly, using class VIII3 as experimental class and class VIII5 as control class. The research instrument was a test of comprehension of mathematics concepts using the reliability = 0.78. The data analysis technique used is the one side t test using MINITAB software. Based on the analysis of the data found that the two sample classes are normally distributed and homogeneous at significance level α = 0.05. Hypothesis test results obtained P - value = 0.000 is less than α , the research hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematics concepts by implementing cooperative learning Type Numbered Heads Together using Comic better than conventional learning in VIII grade at SMPN 5 Padang.

This research are  motivated by the lack of teachers who raise students  knowledge to express opinions / ideas regarding the content to be learned. One method to overcome this problem is to adopt a strategy of Generative Learning. This study aims to determine the students understanding of mathematical concepts using Generative Learning Strategy was  understanding of mathematical concepts was better  than students who used conventional teaching seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Padang. This type of research is experimental research study design for subjects randomized. The study population was all students in class VII SMP Negeri 10 fields listed in the school year 2012/2013. Random sampling technique and terplih VIIg class as the experimental class and the control class as a class VIIe. The research instrument is essay test with a reliability test was 0.90. Based on the analysis of the data found that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples. Hypothesis test results obtained P-value <α. Thus, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using Generative Learning strategies are better than student understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional teaching seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Padang.

Studying process which is taken place at SMPN 2 Sungai Beremas is tending to one way process, teacher is a centrall of all learning process. Teachers dominate all activities at class, and still many students cheat when doing exercise. This is why hasnât understanding mathematic concept well, proved by so many students got low mart. So this research is aim to know studentâs understanding of mathematical concept by using cooperative learning types Student Teams Achievem Division (STAD) with student work sheets is better than cooventional ways. The kind of research is experimental research. the population in this research is the eight class student of SMPN 2 Sungai Beremas academic year of 2013/2014. The sample is taken randomly, the experiment class is VIIIB and the control class is VIIIA. The instruments in this research is mathematical concept understanding test like essay. The result of research shows that students understanding of mathematical concept using cooperative learning types Student Teams Achievem Division (STAD) with student work sheets is better than conventional ways. Hypotesis test is using minitab with t-test, obtained P-value = 0,024 Â = 0,05 whichis specified, then it can be concluded that studentâs understanding of mathematical concept using cooperative learning Student Teams Achievem Division (STAD) with student work sheets is better than conventional ways that is used in control class.

The backgraund of the research is the comprehension of the concept is still low on mathematic on grade eight in SMP Negeri 2 Sijunjung. The aim of the research is to know whether the implementation of conceptual comprehension of Give The Money learning stategy is better than conventional. This is an experimental research, by designing random research on the subject. Technique of sampling is grade VIII1 as the experiment class and grade VIII5 as control class. The instrument of the research is final test by using conceptual comprehension and rubrik test analytical. The test is essay. Technique of analysis is t-test. Based on the result of analysis data, it is known that both samples normal and homogen up to 95% accuracy and the result of hypotesis of p-value is 0,018 and the p-value less than 0,05. So this hypotesis of this research is accepted. It can be concluded that conceptual comprehension of mathematic by using Give The Money strategy is better than by using conventional from students grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Sijunjung.

The research was motivated by the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students at SMP 18 Sijunjung, one attempt to do is to apply the technique with verbal football quiz. This study aims to determine how the development of students understanding of mathematical concepts during the learning process using the technique of verbal football with quizzes and whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying techniques accompanied verbal quiz football better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts using conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research on the subject with a random design. The population in this study were students of class VIII. Class is class VIII.A sample as the experimental class and the control class VIII.B class. Instruments used in the study were quizzes and final test and the test used is a form of essay with reliability = 0.90. Data analysis technique is to use a one-way t-test, with , so it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using verbal techniques accompanied quiz football better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning.

Background of this research was students understanding of mathematical concept and students rarely make a summary of the materai provide by the teacher. Study was to examine students understanding of mathematical concept using a model of cooperative script with handout is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts using conventional learning ". This type of research is experimental research, wich used subject random. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP 2 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan in the Academic Year 2013/2014. The result of hypothesis test was accept  = 0.045 < α = 0.05, so hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that understanding of mathematical concepts in aplliying cooperative Script with Handout better than the understanding of mathematical concept students in conventional learning.

The research was motivated by the students comprehension of mathematical concept at eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Lembah Melintang is still low. It is caused by the learning process still focuses on the teachers and group learning is not maximized. This research aims to 1). Determine how the development of students comprehension of mathematical concept in the experimental class, 2). Determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concept by using technique of Two Stay Two Stray with Speed Test was better than students comprehension of mathematical concept that apply conventional learning at eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Lembah Melintang. Type of this research is experimental research by using randomized control group only design. Based on the value of speed test students comprehension of mathematical concept was increased at each meeting and the results of the data analysis obtained from the average of results of studentâ learning in the experimental class was 69.35 higher than the control class was 58.97. It can be concluded that students comprehension of mathematical concept by applying technique of Two Stay Two Stray was better than students comprehension of mathematical concept that apply conventional learning.

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dan siswa tidak terbiasa berdiskusi secara berkelompok.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMPN 25 Padang dengan menerapkan Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif Tipe Group To Group DisertaiHandout lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional.Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian random terhadap subjek.Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 25 Padang Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014, kecuali kelas VIII.4 karena lokal unggul.Untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dilakukan secara acak, sehingga terpilih kelas VIII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII1sebagai kelas Kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah tes pemahaman konsep matematis Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji tâ satu pihak dengan bantuan MINITAB.Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh P_value = 0,000 artinya lebih kecil dari α = 0,05, maka hipotesis pada penelitian diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa menerapkan Strategi Pembelajaran Aktif Tipe Group To Group Disertai Handout lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas VIII SMPN 25 Padang tahun pelajaran 2013/2014..

The research is motivated by reality in the school that the students did not have responsibility in group discussion and studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept that still low. To solve this problem the researcher do the research by applying cooperative learning technique Number Heads Together (NHT). This research is to determine whether studentsâ understanding of concepts mathematical by using cooperative learning technique Number Heads Together (NHT) better than studentsâ understanding of mathematical concepts by using conventional strategy. Type of this research was experiment with research design randomly through subject. Post-test was as instrumentation in this research. Data analysis was done by using hypothesis testing one way. Number Heads Together (NHT) technique is to guide the students to share the ideas and knowledge to achieve the goal of learning. In learning process, this technique also help the students to improve their responsibility. If the studentsâ responsibility in learning had been appeared, it means the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept also improve. The result of hypothesis testing got P-value was small than            , 0.002<0.05 so hypothesis was accepted. So, we can conclude that studentsâ understanding of mathematical concepts that used cooperative learning technique Number Heads Together (NHT) better than conventional strategy at XI SMKN 4 Padang in academic year 2013/2014.

This research is backgrounded by the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts and students prefer to ask other students Students more quiet deep lawsuit handcuffing. This research aims to know is students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Group to Group with LKS type better than student understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning. This research is experimental, with random designs on the subject. The population in this research were all students of class VIII SMPN 1 Ampek Nagari Lubuk Basung. The selected sample class VIII.5 class as the experimental class and the control class VIII.3 class. The instrument that used in this research is the final test in the form of essay with the reliability test was 0.456. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the average outcomes of student learning in experimental class was 77,79 bigger than the control class 67,68. hypothesis testing using t-test with the help of MINITAB, obtained p-value = 0.021 is smaller than α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Group To Group with LKS type better than student understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning.
