This research is based by the comprehension of students are low so that the result of studentâs mathematics results are below minimum completeness criteria, lacking of student motivation in learning process, and learning is centered on the teacher. The purpose of this study was to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts by applying ROPES instructional model teaching using guided teaching better than an comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional teaching students in class VIII SMP 3 Payakumbuh. This research is experimental research. The population is a student from class VIII SMP 3 Payakumbuh Academic Year 2013/2014 consisting of 6 classes. The techniques of sample collection taken by randomly. The instrument that used was a test student comprehension of mathematical concepts in the form of an essay test with the reliability of the test r11 = 0,813. The result of hypothesis test obtained  and  because the  more than  then the hypothesis in this research received. In conclusion, studentâs comprehension of math concept that apply active learning ROPES instructional model teaching using guided teaching is better than conventional learning.

The background of this research is the studentsâ mathematical concept understanding that is still low. The purposes of research are to know how the development of the studentsâ mathematical concept understanding is and to know whether the studentsâ mathematical concept understanding by applying the cooperative learning model of Think Pair Square type with quiz is better than that by using the conventional learning. The type of research is an experimental research with Random to Subject design. The population of research is the grade-XI social-class students of SMAN 1 Painan of the year 2012/2013. The technique of sampling is applied randomly and the chosen samples are XI social class 4 as an experimental class and XI social class 2 as a control class. The instruments used in this research are quiz and final tests of mathematical concept understanding. The form of tests used is essay and the test reliability is 0.9. The technique of data analysis is t-test of one side with MINITAB. Based on the analysis of data, it is known that both sample classes are distributed normally and homogenous at α level of 0.05. The hypothesis tests are indicated that P-value is similar to 0.030, meaning less than 0.05, so that the hypothesis of this research is accepted. Then, it can be summarized that the studentsâ mathematical concept understanding by applying the model of cooperative learning of Think Pair Square type with questionnaires is better than that by using the conventional learning with trust level of 95%.

Background of this research based on studentsâ understanding of mathematical concepts was lack at grade IX SMPN 1 Bayang. This case was expected because of the learning process was centered on the teacher, students are not accustomed to discuss and construct knowledge during the learning process. One way to overcome this problem was implemented an active learning strategy Group To Group. This study aims to determine students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategy Group To Group.  Active learning strategy Group To Group was better than studentsâ understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning class IX students of SMPN 1 Bayang. This research was experimental research, with design of randomized trials on the subject. The population in this study was class IX SMPN 1 Bayang Academic Year 2013/2014. Sampling technique was randomly, one class be experimental class IX.2 and another class be control IX.4. The instrument of this research was final test with indicator concept understanding. The technique of data analysis was t-test formula with MINITAB. Based on data analysis was known both of classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples and the result of hypothesis test used obtained P-value < α, so hypothesis research was accepted. Inconclusion students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategy Group To Group was better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning class IX studentsâ of SMPN 1 Bayang in Academic Year 2013/2014.

The introduction of this research  by the lack of studentâs mathematical problem solving. It can be supported by the result of examination of students SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan academic year 2012/2013, based on the percentage of studentâs succeed in the first semester. Furthermore this research has purpose to find out mathematical in problem solving at eightth the grade of SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan by using cooperative learning strategy type Snowball Throwing is better than use conventional strategy.The design of this research is experiment. It seems that there are experiment and control class. Sample at this research took the population as all of eightth grade SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan students and the sample was VIII4 as experiment and VIII3 as control class. The instrument use here was a essay form and the reliabilitytest was 0,63. The result of hypothesis testing with one side oft test, at hypothesis the ttest greater than ttable,it can be concluded that students mathematical in problem solving use Snowball Throwing us better than conventional strategy at class student of eightth grade of SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan.

The research was motivated by student comprehension mathematical concept was low, and the smart students  didnât want to share their knowledge with other students, so the  result in learning mathematic class of students  X SMAN 1 Canduang was low in academic year 2012/2013 . The purpose of this research to find out whether students comprehension mathematical concept by implementing cooperative learning model TPS was better than of used comprehension mathematical concept with conventional learning in class X SMAN 1 Canduang. The type of research was experimental research, the design of randomized trials on the subject . The population of this research was students of class X of SMAN 1 Canduang 2012/2013 academic year consisting of four classes. The ttechnique was random sampling , the sample was selected as the class, as a class experiment X3 and X2 as the control class . The instrument used in this study was written test essay form with reliability 0.72. The data of tests students in comprehension mathematical concepts was derived from the results of the final test comprehension mathematical concept. Based on the results of a quantitative analysis , the test of data to comprehension mathematical concepts , it is known that the two classes were normally distributed and the sample was not homogeneous on the real level α was 0.05 . Hypothesis was testing using the t test of the parties, obtained t was 5.354, so the research hypothesis was accepted . It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model TPS was better  than students to comprehension mathematical concepts with conventional teaching class X SMAN 1 Canduang.

The background of this research is because the low understanding in mathematics of VII grade students and caused by a centered-teacher learning. The purpose of this research is to find which one is better between the using in srategy active learning type Peer Lesson whit quis compared with conventional learning  studentâs understanding of learning mathematics in SMPN 1 Lengayang. This is the kind of experiment research, with the subject random. The population of this research is all of VII grade students SMPN 1 Lengayang. The sample is taken randomly and VII.2 as a experiment class and VII.4 as a control class. The instrument of this research is the find test with indicator consept understanding mathematics. The form of test is a essay concept with reliable test is 0,844. The analysis data used is the test of t with MINITAB software. Based of result in analysis data found that two sample classes are distributed normally and having the homogeny variation in  = 0,05. The hypothesis testing find P-value 0,004 and itâs smaller than at . So, itâs can concluded that the studentâs mathematics concepts understanding by using srategy active learning type Peer Lesson whit quis is better than the conventional learning in VII grade students of SMPN 1 Lengayang in a level 95%.

The background of this research was students mathematic concept understanding still less. The purpose of research to know what was understanding of students mathematic concept at class XI IPA SMAN 1 Lengayang that used recitation method more effective than students mathematic concept understanding toward used learning conventional. The type of this research was experimental research with randomly subject. The population of this research were students class XI IPA had registered at 2013/2014. Sample was take randomly, it choose class XI IPA 1 as experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as control class. The instrument used in this research was test with concept indicator understanding in essay with reliability was 0.908. Based on the result of data analysis get mean score of students in experimental class was 77.45 highery then control class was 64.93. From MINITAB result get p-value = 0.000 was smaller than  = 0.05. So, students mathematic concept understanding that used recitation method better than students mathematic concept understanding with used teaching conventional

Students comprehension of mathematical concepts is one of the factors that affect the learning outcomes of Mathematics. Students comprehension of mathematical concepts are still low in the SMPN 11 Padang seen from the results obtained studying Mathematics. The research aims to determine whether the students comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply SAVI approach with techniques Numbered Head of Structured better comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional learning students at class VII SMPN 11 Padang. This type of research is experimental research, the design of randomized trials on the subject. The research instrument was a test of comprehension of mathematical concepts. Form of test used is a form of essays with a reliability test = 0.945. Based on hypothesis testing with MINITAB obtained P-value = 0.017, it can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply SAVI approach with techniques Numbered Head of Structured better comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional teaching students in class VII SMPN 11 Padang with level 95 %.

This research was background by student understanding of mathematical concept is still low. This matter seen at result learn class student mathematics of VII which enlist in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung School Year 2013 / 2014. He aim of this research model is to know the understanding of mathematical concept by applying model study with cooperative type NH accompanied by quiz better than student understanding of mathematical concept conventional study in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung. This type of this  research is experiment. Research with random sampling techniques. Population in this research is all class student of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung school year 2013 /2014 except class VIII1 representing preeminent class. The selected class of sampel is VIII4 as experiment class and of VIII5 as control class. Instrument used in this research is the tes of  understanding of mathematical concept. Form of tes the used is form of esai with reliabilitas test is r11=0,92. Technique analyse data  used in this test is t. According to result of data analysis known that both class of sampel have normal distribution and is not homogeneous at real level = 0,05. Result of hypothesis test obtained by t=3,73 bigger than ttable=1,23 hence hypothesis at this research is accepted. So that can be concluded that student  understanding of mathematical concept by applying model study with cooperative learning type NH accompanied by quiz better than student understanding of mathematical concept with conventional study in class of VIII SMPN 1 Pulau Punjung.

This research aims to determine: 1) how the progress understanding indicators of students comprehension of mathematical concepts in class VIII SMPN 1 Rao Utara by applying active learning strategies questions students have type accompanied of quiz; 2) the studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts in class VIII SMPN 1 Rao Utara that apply active learning questions students have type accompanied of quiz was better than studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply conventional learning. This design of this research was experiment with a random research on the subject. Population of this research was student`s at grade VIIIÂ SMPN1 Rao Utara. Results of hypothesis testing with one side of t- test it was obtained that thitung was greather than ttabel, then the hypothesis in this research received. In conclusion, studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply active learning The Learning Cell type accompanied by quiz was better than studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply conventional learning.
