                                     ABSTRACT This research was conducted as the students were unable to explain the way a problem solved and they got low understanding on mathematics concept. This research was aimed at revealing whether the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) assisted with quis was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 10 Padang. This was an experimental research which applied random sampling technique. The instrument of the research were a quiz and a post-test which contained conceptual understanding indicators. The result of quis analysis indicated that the studentsâconseptual understanding improved from meeting I to meeting III and decreased in meeting IV. The result of hypothesis test by using t-test showed that in which  indicating that was accepted. Based on this result, it was concluded that the the conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) assisted with quis was better than that of students taught by using conventional leraning in class VIII of SMPN 10 Padang.

ABSTRACTThis research was based on the students who were not interested in math and the students whose understanding of mathematical concept was low. This research is aimed at knowing the students understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of the technique of quick on the draw is better than the students understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of conventional learning. The kind of the research was the experimental research with the random device to the subject class VIII.2 was chosen as experimental class and class VIII.3 as control class. The instrument used was the test understanding of mathematical concept in the form of essay in reliability 0.971. Based on the data analysis result, it was known that two sample classes were distributed normally, homogeny and tcount = 1.74 and ttable = 1.675 because tcount > ttable with  = 0,05 those, the hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, it was concluded that the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept with the apply of quick on the draw technique is better than the students understanding of  mathematical concept with the apply of conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 13 of Sijunjung.

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by less students are responsible for completing the tasks assigned teacher and students are less motivated to follow the learning of mathematics as well as students understanding of mathematical conceptual are still low. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of Prediction Guide strategies could give a better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics conceptual than the conventional one in class VII MTsN Lubuk Buaya Padang.This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in studentsâ understanding on mathematics conceptual. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained t=2,09 was bigger than  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of Prediction Guide strategies could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics conceptual, and better than the conventional one.

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted based on the fact which indicated the (1) low students ability to interact each others, (2) low students comprehension about mathematical concept and (3) low students achievement in mathematical subject. The purpose of this research was to know whether the students treated by Practice-Rehearsal Pairs strategy have better comprehension of mathematical concept than those who are treated by conventional strategy in SMA PGRI 1 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random sampling. The population was the X grade students in which X1 was the experimental class while the X4 class was the control class. The hypotheses was tested by using t-test. It was found that t-obtained (4.67)> t-table (1.67). Thus, the hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the students treated by Practice-Rehearsal Pairs strategy had better mathematical comprehension than those who treated the conventional strategy.

This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of Team Assisted Individualization strategies could give a better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept than the conventional one in class VIII SMPN 1 Mapat Tunggul Selatan. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained t=1,94 was bigger than , indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of Team Assisted Individualization strategies could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept, and better than the conventional one.

This research aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model better understanding of the mathematical concepts of the conventional learning in class XI IPA SMAN 2 Bayang. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained t = 2,71 was bigger than , indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of STAD with NHT cooperative learning model could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept, and better than the conventional one.

ABSTRACTThis research was motivated by the students understanding on mathematics concept that still low thus causing students mathematics learning outcomes also becomes low. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of cooperative learning and asking questions circulate hat techniques better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept than the conventional one in class VIII of SMPN 23 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. Population in this research is all class student of VIII SMPN 23 Padang. Technique intake of sampel conductedat random, choosen as class of sampel is VIII1 as experiment class and of VIII3 as control class. The instrument used in this research is a test in studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept with a reliability test r11 = 0.88 . The data  was analyzed by using t-test. . Based on the result of data analysis known that thitung = 5,37 and ttabel = 1,669 with α = 0.05. So thitung > ttabel it can be concluded that the application of students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning and asking questions circulate hat techniques are better effect on the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept than a conventional one .Â

ABSTRACT This research is caused students low understanding of mathematical concepts are. Because in learning process is still focus on the teacher . The students still have low ability to explore their idea and to arrange the material . So, one of way to solve this problem is by appliying the ability of Clustering .The goal of this research is to know the influence of clustering toward students understanding of mathematics concepts at grade nine SMPN 4 sutera. Metodology research used experimental research. By using type One Shot Case Study. The population of this research is all grade nine students of SMPN 4 Sutera. In collecting the data by using Sampling simple random sampling, the graden nine (IX2) as experimental class. The final tests is analized by using simple regretion analyze. Thus, the research found the coofesien of corelation r = 0,49. It  means the ability of clustering sampling has influence toward students of understanding of mathematics concepts at grade nine student of SMPN 4 Sutera.

ABSTRACT This research were motivated by students comprehension of mathematical concept and studentsâ motivation to learn mathematics that still low. The purpose of this research were to determine whether studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing course review horey methods was better than implementing conventional learning and to determine studentsâ motivation to learn mathematics after implementing course review horey methods in class VIII of SMP Negeri 14 Padang. This was an experimental research which used purposive sampling. The sample was VIII.6 as experiment class and VIII.4 as control class. The instrument used were final test and motivation questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using t-test for final test and percentage techniques for motivation questionnaire. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that sample has normally distributed and homogeneus. Hypothesis test results obtained that  was greater than  then  was rejected. Questionnaire analysis result obtained that score of all indicators with positive statement was increased. It can be conclude that studentsâ comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing course review horey methods was better than implementing conventional learning and studentâs motivation after implementing course review horey method was increased in class VIII.6 of SMP Negeri 14 Padang school year 2013/2014.

ABSTRACT The background of this research is the comprehension of the studentsâ mathematical concept that are still low. Not only that, but also the process of learning is still contred to the teacher it self. The purpose of this research is to know about comprehension of the studentsâ mathematical concept by applaying Market technique toward comprehension of mathematical concept is better than studentsâ conventional learning at the eight grade SMPN 1 Sipora Kabupaten kep.Mentawai. The kind of this research is experiment reserch. The population of this research is the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Sipora Kep. Mentawai who registered in 2012/2013 academic year. The sample classes that choosen are two  classes, where VIII.1class as class experimental class and the VIII.2 is control class. The instrument of this research is the concept comprehension test in essay that has reliability 0,8883. Based on the data analysis, mean of  experimental class was 80,61 and class control was 71,03. can  concluded that the comprehension of the studentsâ mathematical concept by applaying the market technique toward comprehension of mathematical concept is better than conventional learning at the eight grade SMPN 1 Sipora Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai.
