Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was based on the the students’ low understanding of mathematical concept and the studens still not   commonly involved in problem solving. The purpose of this research wasto know what are the student’s understanding of mathematical concept by usingPBI learningbetter than student’s understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The research population was a class X student of MAN Kajai Kec. Talamau Kab. Pasaman Barat. Sample of the research was X.A as experimental class and X.B as control class. The instrument used is an essay test with reliability 0,96. The techniques of data analysis were done to used the t-test a side. Based on analysis result Tvaluewas 1,792 and Ttable was 1,710 then the hypothesis in this research was accepted. Therefore it was concluded that the students’ understanding of mathematical concept by usingPBI  learning  better than the students’ understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning in class X MAN Kajai Kec. Talamau Kab. Pasaman Barat

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted based on the fact indicating that the students’ understanding on mathematics concept was`stiil low, and their learning activities were not optimal yet. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of True 0r False active learning strategy could give better effect on the students’ understanding on mathematics concept than that of the conventional learning, and to see its impact on the students’ learning activities. This was an exsperimental research which used random design toward the subject. In this research class XI IPA4 was`chosen as the experimental class, and class XI IPA1 as the control class. The instruments used in collecting the data were post-test and observation sheet. The test was in the form of essay whose r11 was 0,841. The data gotten was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it was found that P-value (0,000) was smaller than α (0,05) indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it was concluded that the use of True or False active learning strategy could improve the student’ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional learning in class XI IPA of SMAN 2 Bayang.

Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students understanding on mathematics concept that still low and students not interest in learning mathematics. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of bingo review strategies could give a better effect on the students’ understanding on mathematics concept than the conventional one in class VIII of MTsN Bariang Rao- Rao. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in students’ understanding on mathematics concept. The data  was analyzed by using t-test assisted with software MINITAB. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained P - value = 0.000 was smaller than α = 0.05,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of bingo review strategies could improve the students’ understanding on mathematics concept, and better than the conventional one.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The background of this research was students compr ohension of mathematical concept still low, and when did on exercise in, learning process, the students often come to another friends. This research aim to know the students comprehension of matematical concept by applied cooperative learning technique two stay two stray with speed test, beetter then the students comprehension of mathematical concept by applied conventional learning at eight grade of SMPN 1 Panti. This research was an experimental. Population was eight grade of SMPN  1 Panti school year 2013/2014 VIII.4 as experimentall class and VIII.5 as control class. Instrument in this research was final test in essay from with reliability = 0,89. Based on data analisis know that both of class was homogeneous and have normal distribution at trust level 0,05. From the hypothesis test, got P-value was 0,004 it means small than so the hypothesiss accept. It can conlude thant students comprehension of mathematical concept by applied cooperative learning technique two stay two stray with speed test better than conventional learning at eight grade of SMPN 1 Panti 2013/2014

Abstract

AbstractThe research was basic on  the teacher as a center of learning process. The students had low motivated to ask the questions and gave their reason to the materials.The goal of this research was to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts with the application by using active learning strategies LSQ was better than comprehension mathematical concepts by applying Conventional Teaching of second year students at SMPN 16 Sijunjung. In this research, the researcher used experimental method. The population of this research was the second year students of SMPN 16 Sijunjung. It was chosen by using random sampling technique, the experimental class was VIII2 students and the control class was VIII1 students. The instrument of the research was the final test with indicator of comprehension mathematical concepts in the form of essay with a 0.93 reliability test. The data analysis technique used is t-test. The result of this research processed with t-test was obtained tcount = 4.28 and  ttable = 1.677 It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using active learning strategies LSQ type was better than students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning second grade students of SMPN 16 Sijunjung.

This research was aimed at revealing whether the use of Listening Team active learning strategy could give better effect on the students’ understanding on mathematics concept than that of the conventional learning in class XI IPS SMAN 2 Bayang. This was an exsperimental research which used random sampling technique. In this research class XI IPS.3 was`chosen as the experimental class, and class XI IPS.4 as the control one.the instrument of the research was a post-test. The test was in the form of essay whose r11 was 0,819. The data gotten was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the result of hypothesis test, it was found that P-value (0,000) was smaller than α (0,05) indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it was concluded that the use of Listening Team active learning strategy could improve the student’ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional learning in class XI IPS of SMAN 2 Bayang.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLearning methode beetwen teacher and students that doesn’t make students learn into a group, make a comprehension of mathematics student’s concept in a lower rank. According to this, by implementing cooperative learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type which is expected can help the comprehension of mathematics student’s concept. This research is aims to know the comprehension of mathematics student’s concept by implementing cooperative learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type better than comprehension of mathematics students concept by using conventional learning. This research is an experimental study with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Sampling select randomly to class VIIIa as experiments class and class VIIIb as control class. Instrument of this research is comprehension of mathematics students concept from essay test which is test reliability is 0.92. Based on the results of data analysis with test  t ³  retrieved 4,440 ≥ 1.6966 then accepted . So, it can be concluded that comprehension of mathematics students concept by implementing cooperative learning Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type be tter than comprehension of the mathematics student’s concept by using conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT         The background of this research was the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students and students would rather sit down and resolve the problem that was given to the teacher or a friend bench next to his friend, in discussing the matter dominated by active alone. This study aim to determine whether students mathematical understanding of the concept of class IX SMP 2 Mungka Fifty city districts with implementing Learning Strategy  Team Game Tournament  Type Kooperatife beter than convetional learning. Based on the analysis of data it was known that the two classes were normally distributed and homogeneous samples at significance level α = 0.05 and the results obtained from testing the hypothesis P-value = 0.023. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts apply Kooperatife Learning Strategy Game Tournament Team Type better than conventional teaching students IX SMP 2 Mungka City District Fifty Lessons Year 2013/2014.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research was the students’ comprehension of mathematic concept still low and the students did not want to ask about the materials that they have not comprehend yet, it could be seen from the result of the second daily test mathematic students at seventh grade of junior high school Semen Padang in year 2013/2014 The kind of this research was experimental research and the design of this research was randomly towards the subject The instrumentation of this research was the comprehension of mathematic concept test Based on the hypothesis test obtained t-table score = 1,67 and t-value= 4,47 because tvalue > ttable, so the hypothesis that the researcher used is accepted which was the believable level was 95 percent. The conclusion of this research was the students’ comprehension of mathematic concept that can using the cooperative learning that type Numbered Heads Together that using quiz was better than students’ comprehension of mathematic concept that using conventional learning at seventh grade of Junior High School Semen Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRAK This research was grounded by the students’ low understanding in mathematics concept and their less chance to share information and ideas with peers. This research was aimed at reveal whether the use of Two Stay Two Stray technique could improve the students’ understanding in mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 15 Padang. As class VIII.1 was an excellent class, it was excluded. The sample was taken by using random sampling technique. Choosen as class of sampel is VIII.3 as experiment class and of VIII.5 as control class. The data of the research was gotten from post-test. It was an essay test that consisted of 5 items whose reliability was 0,92. The result of hypothesis test showed that the value of thitung (2,8693) was bigger than ttabel (1,67) in which α=0,05. This result indicated that the use of Two Stay Two Stray technique could improve the students’ understanding in mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one in class VIII of SMPN 15 Padang.
