Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research by the student in learning individually andstuden’s comprehension mathematical concept still low at the seventh grade of SMPN 27 Padang.. This research is an experiment research, with random research designon the subject. Research’s population is all of student at the seventh grade of SMPN 27 Padang who registerin academic year 2013/2014. Research’s sample is class VII.1 as an experiment class, and VII.2 as a control class, research’s instrument isan essay test, with reliabilitas test r11 is 0,87. hypothesis result is P-value = 0,003, it means that is smaller than  so hypothesis on this research is accepted. The conclusion that student’s comprehension mathematical that uses Two Stay Two Stray Technique is better than convensional learning by the student at the seventh grade of SMPN 27 Padang.

Abstract

                                                       ABSTRACT This research are motivated by the students comprehension of mathematical concept is still low and students are less willing to share in group. The purpose of this research is to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing the Thinking loud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) technique is better than students comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 27 Padang. this was an experimental research which used pre experimental design: static groupcomparison. The sampling was done by purposive sampling. The  sampling in this research are class VIII.5 and VIII.6. Instrument used is test comprehension of mathematical concept in the form of essay. Based on the result of item analysis, it was revealed that final test item was reliable with r11 = 0,80 and rtable  = 0,388. Hypothesis test used t-test one way with MINITAB software. Based on the math final test result from both of the sample class obtained that tvalue = 2,07 while ttable = 1,65, because tvalue  ttable, then hypothesis was received. It can be conclude that Students comprehension of mathematical concept by implementing Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAAPS) is better than students comprehension of mathematical concept.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis  research was designed to reveal whether the use of Questions Sudents Have (QSH) activee learning strategy could improve the students’ understanding of mathematics concept better than that of conventional laerning strategy in class VIII of SMPN 1 Pancung Soal. This was an experimental research which used random design toward the subject. The population of the research was all of students in class VIII registered in academic year 2013/2014. From the populatin, class VIII.1 was chosen as the experimental class, and class VIII.2 as the control one. The intrument of the research was a post-test in the form of essay whose reliability was . The data gotten in this research was  analyzed by using t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the averange score of the students in the experimental class (67,20) was higher than in the control one (57,87). In addition, the result of the hypothesis test by using MINITAB program indecated that P-value (0,018) was smaller than  (0,05). Hence, it was concluded than the use of QSH active learningg strategy couldd improve the students’ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of conventional learning stratagy in class VIII of SMPN 1 Pancung Soal.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low and the students did not dare to ask and did not want to answer questions from the teacher. This study aimed to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model exchanging greetings and questions technique better understanding of mathematical concepts than students taught with conventional teaching. This research is an experimental study, the research design Against Random subject. The instrument used in this study is the ultimate test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on the results of the analysis of the data found that both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples. Hypothesis test results obtained t = 1,86 and is larger than the table = 1,665 thus reject H0 which means thank H1, the hypothesis in this study received and it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning techniques about exchanging greetings and more understanding of mathematical concepts better than students taught by conventional teaching eighth grade students MTsN Talaok shadow.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of research  caused less active students tend to ask your friends but the results have not been satisfactory and lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students. This study aims is to determine students  mathematical concepts comprehension with peer lesson strategies and worksheets better than math concept comprehension with conventional learning. The research is experimental by using random to the experimental subject. Population is student in the class VIII SMP 13 Sijunjung. The instrument used is examinations winh reliability 0.95. To test the hypothesis used the  t-test with  MINITAB, obtained P-Value 0,005 less than α = 0.05, so hypothesis received. In conclusion, students mathematical concepts comprehension with peer lesson strategies  and  worksheets better than students math concept comprehension with conventional learning. in class VIII SMP 13 Sijunjung.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research background is the students Comprehension of the concepts described by teachers remains low. Learning groups are conducted by teachers has never been in the form of team competition or race group. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying active learning model Learning Tournament type accompanied by the provision of rewards VIII.1 grade students better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning graders VIII.2 SMPN 25 Padang. This type of research is experimental research, the research design Pre Experimental Design: static group comparison. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling or sample aims. The research instrument is the ultimate test in the form of essays with the reliability of the test is 0,88. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using  t test with Minitab Software obtained t > tα is 1,83>1,645. This means that the hypothesis in this research received.

Abstract

                                                        ABSTRACT               This research was based on opinions of the students that mathematical was a difficult, boring lesson. This was supported by the fact that their understanding of mathematical concept was still low. The purpose of the research was to study whether students understanding of  mathematical concept by using Course Review Horay active learning method was better than understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The instrument of the research was an essay posttest whose reliability was 0,83. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, it is found that tcount is 1,85 and ttable is 1,645,  so tcount > ttable  then the hypothesis is accepted. It can be conclude that the students understanding of mathematical concept by using Course Review Horay active learning method was better than understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 18 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concept are still low and students’ not interest in learning mathematical. This research was aimed to determine whether students’ understanding of mathematical concept by implementing the wheel of fortune learning technique better than the students’ understanding of mathematical concept than the implementing of conventional learning in class XI IPS SMAN 16 Padang school year 2013/2014. This was an experimentasl research and applied random research toward the subject. Based on the perceived data analysis, the class sample has normally distributed and homogeneus. Hypothesis test result obstained P-value = 0,009 was smaller than  then reject , so the research hypothesis was accepted.  It can be concluded that the student’s understanding of mathematical concept by implementing the wheel of fortune learning technique better than the students’ understanding of mathematical concept than the implementing of conventional learning in class XI IPS SMAN 16 Padang school year 2013/2014.

Abstract

Abstrak The background of the research is the lack of understanding mathematical concepts student’s in learning mathematic. The aims of this research is to know the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model TTW is better than the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning. Besign of this research is experimental research by random design. The population of research was students of class VIII grade SMP 2 Lengayang Academic Year 2013/2014, which consists of eight classes. Technique of random sampling , the sample is selected as class VIIId as experimental class and VIIIe as control class. Instrumentation of this research is the understanding of mathematical concepts Form of the test used is a form of essays with a reliability test is = 0.81. The technique data analysis is the one parties of t-test. Based on the calculation of the data analysis the class was normally distributed with  = 0.0872  and = 0.1108. Hypothesis testing results obtained  then the hypothesis in this research was received. It can be concluded that the student’s understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning TTW is better than understanding of  mathematical concepts that students applying convensional learning in VIII  SMPN 2 Lengayang 2013/2014.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was motivated by the lack of mathematical concepts understanding in class VIII SMP 18 Sijunjung. Students were less active in following the learning process of mathematics. This study aims to determine how the activity of learning and students understanding of mathematical concepts using Learning Cycle accompanied Handout. This research was an experimental study. Design of research is random subject. The instrument used in this study was the observation sheet activity and the final test of learning outcomes in the form of essays.  Based on the analysis of data observation sheet, this was known that the activity of learning activities of students had increased. The average learning outcomes of experimental class at the end of the test was = 86,81 and the average grade control = 75,38. Through t-test, the results of testing the hypothesis were t-test = 3,8 and t-table = 1,6785. Here t-test > t-table. In conclusion, the students understanding of mathematical concepts using Learning Cycle with Handout is better than the understanding of students mathematical concepts using the conventional teaching.
