Abstract

                                     ABSTRACTThe research was based on students matematic concept comprehension still low of XI IPA  grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman. The purpose of this research is to find which one is better between the using in “Bisnis Berisiko” Technique with student’s work sheet compared with conventional learning in student’s understanding of learning mathematics. This is the kind of experiment research, with the subject random. The population of this research is all of XI IPA grade students SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman that consists of and clasres. The sample is taken randomly and XI IPA.3 as a experiment class and XI IPA.4 as a control class. The instrument of this research is the find test with indicator consept understanding and sclaring based on analytic “rubric”. The form of test is a essay concept with reliable test  is 0,78. The analysis data used is the test of t with MINITAB software. Based of result in analysis data found that two sample classes are distributed normally and having the homogeny variation in a level 95%. The hypothesis testing find P-value = 0,023 and it’s smaller than at  = 0,05. So, it’s can concluded that the student’s concepts understanding by using “Bisnis Berisiko” technique is better than the conventional learning in XI IPA grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Bisnis Beresiko Technique better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with the application of conventional learning. This type of research is experimental, the research design random design to subject. The population in this research is the students in grade VIII SMPN I Sutera. Sampling was done by random sampling, that is similar to the decision classes VIII.3 as eksperimental and VIII.1 as control. The instruments that is used in this essay test. Results of data analysis that the two classes are normally distributed and homogeneous samples and t test results obtained P-value=0,02 is less than α=0,05, so that hypothesis is approved. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Bisnis Beresiko Technique grade better than students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning models VIII grade SMPN 1 Sutera.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted due to the students’ less confidence to express ideas, inability to work in a group and low understanding on mathematics concepts. The aim of the research was to reveal whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by Numbered Heads technique cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Hiliran Gumanti. By using random sampling technique. The instrument of the research was a post-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the value of tcalculated  was bigger than ttable. This result signified that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Numbered Heads technique cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The research and development were motivated of intructional materials used in teaching proces, it is not accordance with the characteristics of the students. Textbooks used by student do not understand and facilitate the student to perform self-regulated learning. Solution offered to this problem is the development of realistic based modules for material fractions. This development aims to determine the validity of the module realistic basic for material fractions. This study used model of 4-D which consisted of 4 phases: definition, design, development and disseminate. The stages through which this reasearch is only the third stage of development. Stage development had validated. Module 3 validated by validators of mathematics and Indonesian. Descriptive data were analyzed with validation results are very valid in terms of content and construck. This means Module Based on Realistic Mathematics Learning Material On Class V MIN Korong Gadang has valid to be used as teaching materials.

Abstract

 ABSTRACTThis research was conducted due to the student’s low understanding on mathematics concept. This was aimed at revealing whether the use of Trading Places active learning strategy could improve the students’ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one in class XI IPS of SMA PGRI 1 Padang. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class XI registered in Academic Year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was an essay test whose reliability was 0,836. The result of data analysis indicated the average score of the students’ understanding on mathematics concept in experimental class was 60,04 and in the control class was 48,96. As the result of hypothesis test showed that P-value < α, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, the use of Trading Places active learning strategy could improve the students’ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one in class XI IPS of SMA PGRI 1 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low in class XI Science SMAN 15 Padang become the background for this study. The study aims to determine whether the ability of the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying quick on the draw better than the ability of the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in class XI Science SMAN 15 Padang. This study is a randomized study design experiments to sabjek. Analysis of the data using one-way t test with MINITAB program. Based on the analysis of data obtained P-value = 0.008 means less than α = 0.05 level, so it can be concluded that the ability of understanding mathematical concepts students with a quick on the draw better than the ability of the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional teaching students of class XI Science 15 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACH The background of The research was. This research  is motivated by the difficulty students answer the teacher’s question about the subject before and the lack of students understanding in mathematical concept with applying active learning strategy by Index Card Match to be better from the students mathematical concept with apply conventional learning at grade seventh of MTsTI Batang Kabung Padang of academic 2013/2014 years. This research is experimental research with the random design of subject. The population is the student seventh of MTsTI Batang Kabung Padang of academic 2013/2014 years. The sample has to with randomly the instrument are quiz and test. Based on the result of the research, quiz result increased each meeting. Based result of data analysis, it is know sample class is distribute normally and homogenously. So the hypothesis of the research will accept that mean is the understanding of student mathematical concept with apply active learning type Index Card Match with quiz is better from conventional learning at grade seventh of MTsTI Batang Kabung Padang

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was background by the understanding of students’ mathematic concept which was still low and the responsibility of students who lack the given task during the learning process takes place. This case saw from the result of learning math by students grade eight at SMP N 17 Padang academic year 2013-2014. The purpose of this research was what is the understanding of students’ mathematic concept which applied the active learning strategy type learning tournament better than applied conventional learning for students grade eight at SMP N 17 Padang. This research was experimental research and the research design was random sampling. The population was all of students grade eight at SMP N 17 Padang academic year 2013-2014 which was divided into eight classes. The technique to collect the sample was random, and chooses class VIII 4 as an experimental class and VIII 5 as a control class. The research instrument was understanding test of mathematic concept. The test that used was essay with reability 0,777. The data analysis technique was the one-sided t test with Minitab. Based on data analysis, have known that the sample class did have normal contribution. The result of hypothesis test found p-value = 0,045 little than normal standard = 0,05. So, the hypothesis was accepted. The conclusion was the understanding of students’ mathematic concept which applied the active learning strategy type learning tournament better than applied conventional learning.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on the student’s understanding on mathematics concept was still low and the low curiosity of student to the subject material. This research was aimed at revealing wheather the use of Prediction Guide technique could give a better effect on the student’s understanding on mathematics concept than conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 6 Lubuk Basung. This was an experimental research which used random desain toward  subject. The instrument of the research was test on mathematics concept. The data then was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the  data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. The result of hypothesis test showed that p-value (0,023) was smaller than indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Hence, it was concluded that the application of Prediction Guide technique could improve the students’ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional learning.
