Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted based on the fact which indicated the students low motivation to rehearse the learning material which emerged the students difficulties to do the mathematical questions. The purpose of this research was to know whether the students treated by college ball strategy have better comprehension of mathematical concept than those who are treated by conventional strategy. This was an experimental research which used random sampling. The population was the VIII grade students of MTSN Talaok Bayang. The VIII.5 was the experimental class while the VIII.3 class was the control class. The instrument was final test. The hypotheses was tested by one tailed test. It was found that t-obtained > t-table. Thus,it can be concluded that the students treated by college ball strategy had better mathematical comprehension than those who treated the conventional strategy.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was done based on the ract which indicated the low students ability in solving mathematic questions. Then,the students did not want to share each other. The purpose of this research was to know whether the VIII grade students of SMPN 2 East Pasaman Rao treated by Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) technique and students worksheet have better mathematic problem solving than those who are treated by conventional learning. This was an experimental reserach which used random sampling.The instrument was problem solving test. The hypothesis was tested by one tailed test by using MINITAB.  Hipotesis test result obtained p-value = 0,000. It was found that the hypothesis was accepted. Thus,it can be concluded that the students treated by Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) and students worksheet had better mathematic problem solving than those who treated the conventional learning.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT The background of this research  is students are still low to understand  the concept of mathematic and they don’t want to ask some question, share opinion about the material  that have been not understood yet. To solve the problem, teacher should apply active learning like learning tournament strategy. The purpose of this research is to know the students in understanding mathematic concept by applying learning tournament is better than convensional learning strategy. Kinds of this is experiment  research. The population in this research is grade nineth SMPN 2 Ranah  Pesisir. Instrument that used in this research used essay from reliability 0,93. The technique of data analysis used  T-test one side. Based on the result of hypothesis obtained T-table = 1,6735 T-count = 3,86 so Tcount > Ttable. There for hypothesis is reviced at level confidence 95%. In conclusion students mathematic concept by applying learning tournament strategy is better than convensional learning strategy in class grade nineth SMPN 2 Ranah Pesisir.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Base on background knowledge of this research was students’ understanding of mathematical concept that still low and the material that students have was lost from their mind. This research is to determine whether students’ understanding of mathematical concept by using a strategy Hollywood square Review better than students’ understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional strategy at X Grade of MAS PLUS Padang Ganting. Type of this research was experiment. Population in this research was students at X grade of MAS PLUS Padang Ganting, and sample of this research was students class X1 as experimental class and X2 as control class. Post-test was as instrumentation in this research, with realibility 0,88.From the data analysis get mean score from students’ achievement in experimental class was 71.96 that high  rather than in control class that was 48.57. data analysis was done by using hypothesis testing. Tcalculated= 3,6 and ttable= 1,68. so, we can conclude that students’ understanding of  mathematical concept that used Hollywood Square Review better than conventional strategy  at X Grade of MAS PLUS Padang Ganting.

Abstract

                                                          ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research was to reveal whether the  by the mathematics understanding of the students taught by Practice Rehearsal Pairs active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research. The population of this research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 1 Sipora Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was a test  whose reliability 0,847. Based on the result of data analysis it was figured out that the average score of the students’ conceptual  understanding in the experimental class was 75,80 and in the control class was 64,98. The result of hypothesis test showed that P-value (0,005) was smaller α = 0,05, therefore it was concluded that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Practice Rehearsal Pairs active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning students in classVIII  SMPN 1 Sipora Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is allow comprehension students’ mathematics concept and many students that are less responsible for the tasks from the teacher. The aim from this research is to know the comprehension students’ mathematics which uses Bisnis Berisiko Technique more better than the comprehension students’ mathematics which use a conventional learning at VIII grade students MTsN Koto Baru Dharmasraya.  A kind of this research is experiment with random design to subject. The instrument is a comprehensions students’ mathematics test in the essay form with reliability of the test is . Based on analysis data obtained the average value of the experiment class higher than the control class. The hypothesis which use t-test, the result is    and , because of , so that the hypothesis research is accept. The conclusion from this research is the comprehension students’ mathematics which uses Bisnis Berisiko Technique more better than the comprehension students’ mathematics which use a conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research is about students understanding of mathematical concepts is still low. The aims of this research is to know the students understanding of mathematical concepts by strategis to find the information is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by strategis the information conventional learning in VIII grade SMPN 4 Sutera. The kind of this research is experimental research by random design towards the subject. The population in this research was students in VIII grade SMPN 4 Sutera in school year 2013/2014. The sample Class were chosen is VIII.4 class as experimental class and VIII.2 class as control class . The instrument which was used is final test which is essay  from with reliability is  0.7403. Based on calculations of data analysis using t-test of the side obtained = 2.29 and = 1.645 . So  >  thus it can be concluded that students understanding of mathematical concepts apply strategies the information is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in VIII SMPN 4 Sutera.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research is the comprehension of mathematical concept of students grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talamau is low. The aim of this research are to know how students activities in learning process and is the comprehension of mathematical concept by apply Everyone Is a Teacher Here strategies is better than students comprehension of  mathematical concept by apply conventional learning in grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Talamau Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. The type of the reseach is experiment. The sample study is class VIII.3 as experiment and VIII.1 as control class. The research instrument is a observation paper and test comprehension concept. Comprehension of the concept of test data analysis obtained an average of the concept of comprehension test are 68,33 for experiment class and 55,76  for control class. The analysis was done with help of software MINITAB obtainer P-value = 0,0444 is smaller that  = 0,05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the students who used active learning strategy type Everyone Is a Teacher Here better than students comprehension in mathematical concept in conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAKThe background from this research is a low comprehension students’ mathematics concept in class VIII of SMPN 6 Pariaman. The aim from this research is to know the comprehension students’ mathematics which use Learning Starts with A Question (LSQ) more better from a comprehension students’ with use a conventional learning. A kind from this research is experiment with random design to subject. The instrument is study comprehension mathematics concept test like essay with reliability test is  = 0,83. Analysis data technique which use is t-test in one side with MINITAB. According to the hypothesis, the result P-value = 0,011 more smaller from α = 0,05, so that the hypothesis research is accepted. The conclusion from this research is a comprehension students’ mathematics with use Learning Starts with A Question (LSQ) more better from with use conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research background is the students do not active and do not comprehend about mathematical concept which illustrated by the lower score of mathematic that the eight grade students achieve at SMPN 1 Tandun. This study aims to determine how the activity and the students learning concept comprehension after using College Ball strategy for eight grade students at SMPN 1 Tandun. The type of the research is experimental research by random the subject. The population of the research consist of 7 classes of the eight grade students at SMPN 1 Tandun, in this research the researcher used random sampling to collect the sample, for both experimental and control class. The experimental class is VIIID class and the control class is VIIIB class. The instrumentations of the research are observation and test. The form of the test is essay with the reliability 0,86. The result based on observation is the increasing and decreasing of students’ activity. Furthermore, based on t test by using MINITAB which the confidence level 95% in hypothesis testing can be collected p-value 0,003, it is smaller than . thus, in brief the students’ mathematical concept comprehension by using College Ball strategy better than conventional learning for eight grade students at SMPN 1 Tandun, Rokan Hulu district.
