Abstract

ABSTRACT The main factors which can determine preserves success fishes out is  store feeding in quantity, quality and the right time. Artificial feeding is one of production cost which largish effort preserve fishes out. One of effort to decrease feeding cost is by using artificial feeding it self. The alternative cheap feeding but it has nutrient content that suitable with fish’s needs. One of fish meals by using waste food that can use as a feeding is tofu waste. Tofu waste is waste of tofu makings that can use as raw material of feeding fish. Raw material of feeding fish is easy to find it. We can find it in tofu company with the price cheap relative. To increase fish meals material quality from tofu waste this was done fermentations by use EM4  (Effective Microorganisme 4). The purpose of the research is to know the effect of feeding tofu waste was done fermentations by using EM4 to growth Cyprinus carpio L. The experimental design that is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 6 repetitions. By treatment: A (control), B (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 10%), C (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16%), and D (by giving tofu waste was done fermentation 24%). Based on the research result we can conclude that tofu waste was done fermentation can increase growth Cyprinus carpio L. By giving tofu waste was done fermentation 16% with commercial feeding can get same growth if we compare with tofu waste was done fermentations 10% and 24%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bayam ungu (Alternanthera brasiliana Kuntze.) efficacious for treating various diseases . Parts  used  are the leaves.  Spinach  purple   has a chemicals  such  as  tannins,  saponins,  and flavonoids. Escherichia coli is a bacteria found in that stout opportunist in human colon as normal flora. Escherichia coli suspected as a cause of diarrhea that sometimes arise in humans and animals . Research has been conducted in order to determine the inhibitory infusa purple leaf spinach (Alternanthera brasiliana Kuntze.) on the growth of Escherichia coli. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Basic Biology Education Program STKIP PGRI West Sumatera in January 2013 , using a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replications with each infusion concentrations were 10 % , 20 % , 30 % , 40 % , 50 %. Analysis of the data showed that treatment with each test level α f 5 % and followed by BNT test. The results showed that infusion violet leaf spinach (Alternanthera brasiliana Kuntze.) could inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBactrocera dorsalis is one of the flies that are very harmful for horticulture crops. Farmers usually use chemicals to control the flies, but the way this has a negative impact on the environment. So needed another way to use a more environmentally friendly attractants such as plants that contain methyl eugenol, such as clove (Eugenia aromatica L.). Based on these problems then do research on the effect of extracts of clove (Eugenia aromatica L.) Against Fruit Fly Bactrocera dorsalis Hend. visit. This research is experimental, with 4 treatments and 6 replications. The study was conducted from July to September 2013. Data from studies conducted with mixed analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the F value obtained is greater than F table, means treatment gives significant effect on the number of flies that enter the trap. So proceed with Test BNJ 5 %. From BNJ test shows that treatment A (1 ml), B (2 ml), and treatment C (3 ml) having the same effect on the number of fruit flies that enter the trap. While treatment D (4 ml) was able to make a lot more fruit flies trapped. It can be concluded that the higher dose of clove extract on the treatment given, the more potent for berkunjungnya fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis in a trap.

Abstract

Abstract:Role of ants in nature can provide positive and negative effects on animals and humans. Positive benefits such as its role as a predator, decompose organic matter, pest control and even help pollination. Changes in forest areas into agricultural land, plantations often change roles Ants become pests. Changes gambier plantation forests to affect the existence of Ants. Composition studies Ants ( Hymenoptera : Formicidae ) in the Garden Ground in Kanagarian Siguntur Young Gambir subdistrict Koto XI Tarusan South Coastal District which was held in August- September 2013. This study uses a descriptive survey method. Sampling sites in this study consists of two stations that I garden Gambir station and the second station nearby forest garden gambir.pengambilan samples wa conducted by Ants Pifall trap vessel fitted with a tin roof that had been attached to the rafters. The distance between the zinc roof and land surface 15 cm, which consists of 3 substations. Distance between subsasiun 20 m. Based on the research that has been done on the composition of ants ( Hymenoptera : Formicidae ) in Garden Gambir subdistrict Kenagarian Young Siguntur Koto South Coastal District XI Tarusan inferred composition of ants were found in the garden belonging to the Gambir 4 subfamily, tribe 9, 14 genera, 18 species and as many as 106 individuals. Anoplolepis gracilipes density is 13,80 is the highest compared to other species , and a low of Leptogenis dinimus is 1.61. While the highest frequency is Anoplolepis gracilipes is 20.28, while the lowest was 2.37 Leptogenis dinimus. Soil physico-chemical factors have an important role for the existence of such ant soil temperature, soil moisture content, soil pH, and soil organic C content. In such circumstances gambir garden is perfect for the presence of ants.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIn achievement a learning objektives not only be affected by methods used the teacher. But also influenced by the teaching object used in the learning process. For that, we need some development teaching object from of student work sheet which aims to determine the validity and practicality student work sheet developed. This type of research is development with procedural models which aims to produce a product. The product was developed using a three stage from four-D models namely define, design, and develop. The study subject consisted of four validator and 20 students of class XI IPA3 from SMAN 4 Solok Selatan. Research data is the primary data by analizyng the validity and practicality of the developed student work sheet. From this study the object produced student work sheet tissues in plant for SMA class XI first semester. Student work sheet prodeced valid categorized by the validator to the value of 86,83% and categorized by teachers with the practical value of 87,64% and categorized  by the students with the practical value of 87,52%. Thus, it can be concluded that the student work sheet development tissues in plant object for class XI SMA semester 1 had a valid and practical.

Abstract

Student work sheets are sheets which contains tasks that must be done by learners. Tasks instructed in sheet activities must have clear basic competencies to achieved, and allows teachers to direct student in learning. Based on observations and interviews that have been conducted in SMPN 1 Palembayan, teaching material in the form of worksheets on the digestive system have been used in learning, but it less attractive in color and is to yet equipped contextual images. The aim of this study, work produces students works sheet images based on the digestive system material and know its validaty and practicality. This research used 4-D models with three steps are define, design, develop. and disseminate  phase is not performed in this study. Type of data is the primary data obtained directly from lecturers, teachers and students through a questionnaire validity and practicality. Analysis of the data used descriptive analysis. Student works sheets Research results this worksheet has validity in form that criteria valid (84,87%), and the practicality criteria are very practical by on teacher (90,83%) while practical criteria (83,63%) by student it can be concluded that student worksheet produced stated valid and practice.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is knowing the standarisation of lesson plan that have been made by biology theachers at senior high school grades XI and XII in Sawahlunto city based on rules in IPKG-1. This research is description research that is using total sampling technique. The completing result of senior high schools lesson plan in Sawahlunto city for grades XI at present component is 48,83%, and then at grade XII at present components is 66,81%. After that the result of senior high schools lesson plan for grade XI is 66,92% with standart enough criteria, in other hand at grade XII is 71,72% with standart enough criteria. The result can be concluded if the biologys lesson plan of senior high schools at grade XI and XII in Sawahlunto city standarisation is enough.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBatu Busuak  forest area is located in the district Pauah of Padang. On July 24th landslide and flood have been destroyed to the forest and caused the forest structure changes. Based on above reason it is important to analyze the forest structure in Batu Busuak Padang. in order to clarify vegetation analyzes we applied transect along undegraded and degraded area using the quadrant method. The tree composition at degraded areas was 22 families, 49 species and 200 individuals. Further more 31 families, 84 species and 200 individual were found at degraded area. Areca chatecu has the highest important value index on degraded area was 20.64%. Porterandia anisophylla was the lowest one (1.7%). Xerospermum sp has the highest important value index at undegraded area (15.27%) and Micros florida was the lowest one (1.24%).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lesson Plan (RPP) is essentially a plan that describes the procedures to achieve a learning organization specific competencies. To find out standardization Lesson Plan (RPP) is to the lesson Plan (RPP) biology class at eleventhSMAN Tanah Datar regency with IPKG-1. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the standardization of RPPand RPP components made by biology teachers ofSMAN semester classes in Tanah Datar.This research is a descriptive study by collecting lesson plans from classroom biology teacher at SMAN Tanah Datar. This sampling technique is Stratifed Random Sampling. The result of analysis we found that the Lesson Plan (RPP) biology class in SMAN Tanah Datar on standard criteria.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Earth-worm is an invetebrate animal which has many functions in other creature’ lives, such as: to improve soil fertility, to be medicines, food, and cosmetics. But, the population of this creature is being threathened to decrease dractically because of the effect of any poisonous chemical subtances herbicide paraquat for instance. In line with this case, it has been done a research about the Effect of  Herbicide Paraquat Towards Fecundity and Lay Rate of  Earth- worm eggs (Lumbricus rubellus). This research was an experimental research. Treatment concentrations which werw done in this research were 0 %, 0,1 %, 0,2 %, 0,3 % and 0,4 %. The  data  in  this  research  was  gotten  through  various  analysis  and  continued  with  the advanced test DNMRT. From this research, it was found that the number of production and lay rate of earth-worm cocon for every treatment which was given herbicide paraquat from the highest concentrations were different with the  number o production and lay rate or earth- worm cocon which was not given herbicide paraquat. In analyzing the data in this research, it was found that F count > F table standard α 5 so that it can be concluded that herbicide paraquat which was sprayed into earth-worm food cause the fecundity and lay rate of earth-worm cocon (Lumbricus rubellus) to decrease. It is suggested from the result of this research that people should not use herbicide paraquat because it can decrease the fecundity and lay rate of earth-worm cocon.
