Abstract

The presence of homeless children has been commonly visible in big cities in Indonesia. Children are a gift and trust of God that in them inherent dignity as human must be respected. Children’s rights are part of human rights as contained in the 1945 Constitution, Law No. 39, 1999 on Human Rights, The President Decree of The Republic of Indonesia No. 36, 1990 on the ratification of Convention on the Rights of the Child. The phenomenon of homeless children in Indonesia, especially in big cities such as Banjarmasin, is increasingly complex. This writing is to find out how the religious education takes part in the homeless children’s everyday life in Banjarmasin.Keywords: homeless children, children’s rights, religious educationKeberadaan anak jalanan sudah lazim kelihatan pada kota-kota besar di Indonesia. Anak merupakan karunia Allah dan amanah yang dalam dirinya melekat harkat dan martabat sebagai manusia yang harus dijunjung tinggi. Hak asasi anak merupakan bagian dari hak asasi manusia sebagaimana yang tercantum dalam UUD 1945, Undang-Undang Nomor 39 tahun 1999 tentang Hak Asasi Manusia, dan Keputusan Presiden RI Nomor 36 tahun 1990 tentang pengesahan Convention of the Right of the Child (Konvensi tentang Hak-hak Anak). Fenomena anak jalanan di Indonesia, khususnya di kota-kota besar seperti Banjarmasin sudah semakin kompleks. Tulisan ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana pendidikan keagamaan pada anak jalanan di kota Banjarmasin.Kata kunci: anak jalanan, hak asasi anak, pendidikan keagamaan.

Abstract

In the informal education which takes place at home, parents have the central role to consistently educate and shape their children to posses positive traits. To anticipate today’s development of information and global cultural flows, a matrix of family education which is affiliated to the construction of children’s good character becomes urgent. It is hoped that such matrix of family education can be the instrument to filter information and culture. The model ideal family taken as the study sample is the choosen model ideal family that has been selected to represent South Kalimantan in the national level from 2008 to 2012. The selected family is considered to be refresentatif and valid. The result of study points that: the model ideal family has performed a positive character education. It is proved by the fact that the parents have been successful to educate their children.Keywords: Model Ideal Family, character, parents.Dalam pendidikan informal dirumah tangga, yang sangat berperan mendidik akhlak anak-anak agar mempunyai kepribadian yang mulia dan berakhlakul karimah adalah orangtua, yang terdiri dari ayah dan ibu secara kontinu dan konsisten. Dalam mengantisifasi perkembangan informasi dan arus budaya global yang semakin maju dan berkembang sekarang ini, perlu suatu acuan pola pendidikan keluarga yang berapiliasi pada pembentukan akhlakul karimah pada anak, agar mereka dapat menjadikan pedoman hidup dan menjadi kannya sebagai alat pemilter budaya yang sedang berkembang, justeru itu sebagai pola pedoman yang dianggap intensif adalah keluarga sakinah teladan. Keluarga sakinah teladan yang dijadikan sampel kasus adalah keluarga sakinah teladan yang terpilih mewakili provinsi Kalimantan Selatan ke tingkat nasional dari tahun 2008 sampai tahun 2012, yang dianggap refresentatif dan valid. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Keluarga Sakinah Teladan telah mempunyai Pola Pendidikan Akhlak yang sangat positif. Hal dibuktikan atas keberhasilan orangtua mendidik anak-anaknya.Kata kunci: Keluarga Sakinah Teladan, akhlak, orangtua.

Abstract

Forming a happy family is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand , but a struggle that requires sacrifice and awareness is high enough. Women have an important position in the family life and was instrumental in creating a happy family. This study tried to describe about the pursuit of womens organizations that Sakinah Family Aisyiyah in coaching in South Kalimantan. The formulation of the problem studied is how the concept of harmonious family by Aisyiyah South Kalimantan , and how the pursuit of womens organizations in fostering harmonious family. The result showed that the concept of family Aisyiyah known as the "happy family" and gait Aisyiyah South Kalimantan region in fostering harmonious family is optimal, it can be seen from the development activities carried out by a happy family of five assemblies primarily sermons assembly with a happy family coaching program seed.Keywords: women, Aisyiyah, happy family .Membentuk keluarga sakinah tidak semudah membalik telapak tangan, namun sebuah perjuangan yang memerlukan pengorbanan dan kesadaran yang cukup tinggi. Perempuan mempunyai kedudukan penting di dalam kehidupan keluarga dan sangat berperan dalam mewujudkan keluarga sakinah. Penelitian ini mencoba mendeskripsikan tentang kiprah organisasi perempuan yaitu Aisyiyah dalam pembinaan Keluarga Sakinah di wilayah Kalimantan Selatan. Rumusan masalah yang diteliti adalah bagaimana konsep keluarga sakinah menurut Aisyiyah wilayah Kalimantan Selatan, dan bagaimana kiprah organisasi perempuan tersebut dalam pembinaan keluarga sakinah. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa konsep Aisyiyah tentang keluarga dikenal dengan istilah “keluarga sakinah” dan kiprah Aisyiyah wilayah Kalsel dalam pembinaan keluarga sakinah cukup optimal, ini dapat dilihat dari kegiatan pembinaan keluarga sakinah yang dilaksanakan oleh lima majelis terutama majelis tabligh dengan pembinaan keluarga sakinah sebagai program unggulan.Kata kunci: perempuan, Aisyiyah, keluarga sakinah.

Abstract

Children in their early childhood have their own world and charecteristic which are different from the adult’s. One of the difference is their language. Through the medium of language, a child is able to build his/her communication with other people (social skill). This situation can be achieved if the education principals of the children have been fulfilled and focused thoroughly. It is essential for parents and educators to comprehend their children’s golden age and to know further about the language development which their children should have in accordance with its steps.Keywords: children of early age, language, parents/educators, golden age, developmentAnak usia dini memiliki dunia dan karakteristik sendiri yang jauh berbeda dari orang dewasa. Salah satunya melalui berbahasa, seseorang atau anak akan dapat mengembangkan kemampuan bergaul (social skill) dengan orang lain. Hal ini dapat tercapai jika prinsip-prinsip pendidikan anak usia dini dipenuhi dan diperhatikan dengan seksama. Perlu bagi orang tua maupun pendidik untuk memahami masa golden agenya anak-anak dan mengetahui lebih jauh tentang perkembangan bahasa yang seyogyanya sudah dimiliki anak sesuai dengan tahapan-tahapan mereka.Kata kunci: anak usia dini, bahasa, orangtua/pendidik, masa keemasan, perkembangan.

Abstract

The people of Banjar have a unique customs their series of wedding procession. The process begins with basuluh, that is to find information on the woman who will be proposed. After basuluh, the couple should go through a series of procession such as, respectively, bedatang—the prospective groom and his family come to meet the family of prospective bride and propose the bride, beantaran jujuran—the groom gives dowry, a set of prayer tools, and women’s fixtures for the bride in which both bride and groom are represented by their family, wedding ceremony, and the reception. In the process of beantaran jujuran, a representation from each family delivers marriage advice (papadahan) and rhyme for both the prospective bride and groom.This study determines to analyze the significance of beantaran jujuran and the content of papadahan and the rhyme delivered in the process of beantaran jujuran, as well as the dowry handing over. From the gender analysis point of view, beantaran jujuran in the custom of Banjar people is dominated by women—the bride or the bride’s mother. Moreover, the significance of the rhyme and the marriage advice in the papadahan tends to be reserved for the prospective bride, giving the impression of gender bias.

Abstract

Gender Issues is still a thing inherent in family life. It also can be found, in the social construction, attitudes that are unfavorable to women, like for example women marginalization, women’s position subordination, or women’s labeling that they are irrational. Those treatments have made women losing their rights in the decision-making in the family or social life. Thus, various efforts are needed to improve gender equity. The communication of Dakwah in the novel of Ainun and Habibie can be one of the efforts to achieve it. The novel of Ainun and Habibie firmly reflects Habibie’s attitudes and perspective on gender. His expression of appreciation and respect to women is clearly pictured in the sentence like: “hidden behind the success of a figure two important women’s role—a mother and a wife. Habibie, quoting Ainun’s expression: “The big you and the small I”, clearly describes Ainun as a wife who can create harmony and balance in their family life, and with her modesty giving the front position to her husband. The ‘Ark’ of Habibie and Ainun has managed to shift the state of the family—from nothing to everything, in many ways.

Abstract

The Rejection of the Moslems jurists and scholars on women’s involvement in politics has occurred since the age of classical Islam. Domestication and restrictions on women in the history of Islam has encouraged women to demonstrate their capability in politics. Employing qualitative method and ecofeminism philosophy approach, this study is conducted to answer the question to what extent the success of women in politics. The result of the study shows that the Moslems women have successfully gained a historical recognition for their ability to take significant role in politics both in Islamic world and Indonesia. In addition, the characteristics of Moslems women’s role in politics turn out to lead to masculinity, which tend to follow the men’s style. Moreover, feminism is an alternative of counterweight to the dominance of masculinity contained in a patriarchal political system.

Abstract

Reading is one of the important aspects in learning. Another important aspect in learning is learning media. The use of learning media in the teaching and learning process may generate desires, interests, motivation, and stimulate learning activities for students. However, most teachers today teach in a conventional learning with no use of learning media.Employing experiment method, this study is conducted to determine whether there is a difference in the academic achievement between students taught using the story books media compared to students taught without using the story books media. The subject of the study is the 4th grade students of MI Al-Istiqomah Banjarmasin. The data is drawn from the score of pre-test which is done before the process of learning and the score of final test.The result of the study shows that there is a significant difference between the academic achievements of students who are taught using the story books media compared to the students taught with no use of any media in their reading comprehension subject. This is indicated by the mean score of the final test—the study result in the experimental class is better than that of the controlled class. Thus, it can be concluded that learning with using the media of story books can improve the students’ study result. In addition, the learning media can be an alternative for the teachers in the process of teaching and learning.

Abstract

Some studies on the implementation of gender mainstreaming program in Indonesia, especially in the field of education, indicates the failure of Indonesian government. An obscurity of concept of structured gender role in Indonesia is associated with the term of “pengarusutamaan gender” which is adapted from English language—gender mainstreaming. In the reality, there is a misconception and conflict in elaborating the case of gender bias and stereotypical gender role. Gender inequality and traditional roles of each gender has rooted in the idea of Indonesian society, culture and religion; and it has accumulated become a major obstacle.
