Abstract

Mathematics has been quite familiar in our daily life. In the field of education, Mathematics is regularly presented from the elementary up to the higher education level. Nevertheless, Math seems like a haunting danger for most children. The data from The Third International in Mathematics and Science Study shows that in 2012 the Maths intelligence of Indonesian secondary students ranked at 34 of 38 nations being surveyed. Thus, it is necessary to start introducing Math to children since their early age. However, Introducing and teaching maths for children will be obviously different with that of the adults.

Abstract

The difficulty of finding a job with the level of education and low skills has its own problem in the society. It had an impact on changing the role of women. Not only required to perform internal functions as a wife, but also required to earn a living to support the family as a function of the external economy. One of the efforts that became Labor Women (TKW) as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia, because the income earned from the same job in the country is bigger. In addition they can also be all the pilgrimage (Haji), which will raise their social status in the community when they return to their homeland. This Study combine both qualitative and quantitative method. Results of this study indicatethat the use of their incomes as domestic workers in Saudi Arabia is 25% of the money they spend on the cost of daily living, 18% for renovating the house, 17% to pay off debt, 15% separately childrens school fees and his brother, 14 % for new businesses, and 11% is used to provide working capital loans to families. From this it can be seen that the presence of women who work as migrant workers contribute not only to his family but also to the siblings and other family aggota. In addition they are also able to address problems of families faced before leaving, which is to fulfill the needs of daily life arevery high, it is also a matter of debt that are not able to be paid by the family, and even some of them are capable of air over the business of the original only become laborers farmer and jobs that do not generate large revenues into efforts were quite promising

Abstract

Children in their early childhood have their own world and charecteristic which are different from the adult’s. One of the difference is their language. Through the medium of language, a child is able to build his/her communication with other people (social skill). This situation can be achieved if the education principals of the children have been fulfilled and focused thoroughly. It is essential for parents and educators to comprehend their children’s golden age and to know further about the language development which their children should have in accordance with its steps.

Abstract

The current trends in South Kalimantan has indicated that women moeslem scholars start to emerge from many religious gathering. Their roles as preacher cannot be neglected. This fact, furthermore, is representated in the form of their comprehension to their religion main guidance—Qur‟an and Hadith. From the context of Hadith, the comprehension of women moeslem scholars on the notion that tends to degrade women becomes significant to be investigated through interview and documentation technique, the writer utilizes descriptive method and fiqh al-hadist approach. It is found that the perceptions of women moeslem scholars to the misogynistic Hadith have a similarity that is, not looking these Hadiths as having misogynistic connotations. Among 7 sampels of the scholars being investigated, only one scholar has the impression of “hars” and dictator” from the Hadith. However, the scholar only dares to say “impression”, not the actual fact from the Hadith. Since it is only an impression, the scholar tries to seek for another meaning to delete the impression. The assumption of the respondents from the hadith is much influenced by their perspectives that strongly hold “traditional” values. The traditional values usually look the relationships between men and women hierarchically, that is placing one higher that the other.

Abstract

Moslem recitals (pengajian) as an Islamic educational institution has a very long presence which until now are still survive despite the emerging modern educational institution. Its existance is inseparable from its significant role to modify itself, keep developing and to maintain its principle values. To uncover the survival of the institution, the writer has conducted a study that aims at describing the roles that have been done by Ar-Rahmah Sekumpul Martapura Recitals. Through a qualitative study method conducted in Ar-Rahmah Sekumpul, Martapura-South Kalimantan, it is identified that Ar-Rahmah has not only played the educative role for the women of Banjar, but also maintained the Islamic tradition as well as the role of the economy through cooperation and capital accumulation

Abstract

In the informal education which takes place at home, parents have the central role to consistently educate and shape their children to posses positive traits. To anticipate today’s development of information and global cultural flows, a matrix of family education which is affiliated to the construction of children’s good character becomes urgent. It is hoped that such matrix of family education can be the instrument to filter information and culture. The model ideal family taken as the study sample is the choosen model ideal family that has been selected to represent South Kalimantan in the national level from 2008 to 2012. The selected family is considered to be refresentatif and valid. The result of study points that: the model ideal family has performed a positive character education. It is proved by the fact that the parents have been successful to educate their children.

Abstract

Children are the next generations who have strategic roles on ensuring our nation’s existence. To accomplish it, children need to grow and develop naturally. On the other side, not all of the need can be accomplished; there is still much violence happen on child directed by an adult. There are many cases unveiled because of assumption that is not violence. Even in some society, child abuse is assumed as common because it constitute as cultural norms penalizing child. Islamic education concept is not just an effort to educate intellectually, but it is go with Islamic concept on human and his existence. Therefore, Islamic education as social norms is related with Islam concept on human existence. Islamic education sought to increase understanding and awareness on human equality in the sight of God. Things that make a difference are his or her devoutness. Islamic education is an effort to direct deliberately children development on Islamic values.

Abstract

Parent Management Training, in psychology, is one of the intervention for parents in solving problems, especially parents whose children with opposing behavior disorder. This method of training employs behaviour modification technique and the principals of individual study process in changing behavior, that is, in this writing, children’s opposing behavior. In the Parent Management Training program, parents will be trained to be a trainer or therapist in which the assumption they have is the biggest potential to change the children’s behavior for they have the biggest control to the important aspects in children’s natural environment. Besides that, it will enable the children to actualize their newly learned behavior since they do not have to undergo the process received by the therapists into their homes. The focus in solving problems through the Parent Management Training approach is on dyadic relationship and the behavior symptoms is the base in performing intervention. In this particular intervention, parents and therapists work together, in which parents must be willing to do the program that has been compiled in order to change the target’s behavior.

Abstract

Hadith, as a second source of Islamic laws after the Qur’an, contains various provisions of the laws, including the rights of wifes livelihood. Meanwhile, in the context of law in Indonesia, Compilation of Islamic Laws is used as the legal basis in settling lawsuits in Religious Courts. The Compilation of Islamic Laws is compiled with considering the moeslem scholars thought especially they who adhere to al-Syafi’i notion. The theologians themselves are oriented to the Qur’an and Hadith in defining laws. Then, are there any differences between the laws products in the Compilation of Islamic Laws and the source of Islamic laws especially hadith concerning livelihood issues? It is found that the difference is when the wifes commit nusyuz, their reights will be eliminated. The notion is more likely based on the scholars judgement and it is not clearly elaborated in the Hadith.

Abstract

Many Islamic studies, recently, have emerged along with the rise of gender discourse and women issues in many Islamic and public colleges in the country, including in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. One issue arising is that the women’s reproductive rights in religious perspective seems to be underestimated. This view is of course influenced by the role of Muslimscholars as Muslims role models and mentors. Thus, it becomes significant to investigate the perception of Muslim scholars on the women’s reproductive rights in order to find out their insight and appreciation on women’s rights. The conducted field study employs descriptive method and normative-sociological approach and it is found that the Muslim scholars have relatively the same level of appreciation. According to them, the women’s reproduction rightswhich includes in the period of menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and raising children, is a matter that must be considered and met by the men in the family. Some factors that have influenced the Muslim scholars’ perception are devided in two dimensions—frame of reference which includes education, reading sources, and results of study, and frame of experience which includes self-experience, and the surrounded cultural, political, and social environment
