Abstract

Parent Management Training, in psychology, is one of the intervention for parents in solving problems, especially parents whose children with opposing behavior disorder. This method of training employs behaviour modification technique and the principals of individual study process in changing behavior, that is, in this writing, children’s opposing behavior. In the Parent Management Training program, parents will be trained to be a trainer or therapist in which the assumption they have is the biggest potential to change the children’s behavior for they have the biggest control to the important aspects in children’s natural environment. Besides that, it will enable the children to actualize their newly learned behavior since they do not have to undergo the process received by the therapists into their homes. The focus in solving problems through the Parent Management Training approach is on dyadic relationship and the behavior symptoms is the base in performing intervention. In this particular intervention, parents and therapists work together, in which parents must be willing to do the program that has been compiled in order to change the target’s behavior.Keywords: parent management training, intervention, oppositional deviant disorders.Parent Management Training sebagai salah satu intervensi dalam penyelesaian masalah bagi orangtua, terutama yang memiliki anak-anak dengan gangguan perilaku menentang. Metode pelatihan ini yang banyak menggunakan teknik modifikasi perilaku dan juga penerapan prinsip-prinsip yang berupa proses belajar individu dalam merubah perilaku, khususnya yang dimaksud dalam tulisan ini ialah perilaku menentang anak. Pada program Parent Management Training ini orangtua akan dilatih sebagai terapis atau trainer dimana asumsinya mereka memiliki potensi paling besar untuk merubah perilaku anak, karena mereka mempunyai kontrol yang paling besar terhadap aspek penting dari lingkungan alamiah anak-anak. Selain itu, juga akan mempermudah bagi anak-anak untuk mengaktualisasikan perilaku baru yang mereka pelajari, karena mereka tidak harus menjalani proses yang diterima oleh terapis ke dalam rumah mereka. Menyelesaikan permasalahan melalui pendekatan Parent Management Training ini penekanannya pada hubungan dyadic dan melalui simptom perilaku untuk menjadi dasar dalam melakukan intervensi. Dalam intervensi ini orangtua dan terapis saling bekerjasama, yang mana pihak orangtua tentunya bersedia melakukan program yang telah disusun untuk merubah perilaku yang menjadi target.Kata kunci: parent management training, intervensi, gangguan perilaku menentang.

Abstract

Children are an mandate from Allah to all parents. They must give them a good education in order to be good Muslims and they worship to Allah. Parents are the first teachers who have a responsibility in developing children’s psychology both of spiritual and physical needs. In this case, parents have main position in forming the children’s character. This era, there are children do many deviations more and more. It indicates that there is something lack in model of nurture by the parents. The model of nurture applied by parents to their children determines the children’s character. The model of nurture in characters building had taught by prophets. Allah had delegated all prophets to the world by giving a main mission that is the character building. Islam is present as a movement to complete the human’s character. Islam explains that a good education is the children’s right to their parents. The good education means here is an education based on the Quran and the purposes to build the Muslim personality, who totally allows to the God, by guidance had taught by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). This writing is aimed at describing education method and concept in progressing character building for children, which had done Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and it will be related to Psychology.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the psychological condition of inmates during being in Narcotics Correctional Institution II Karang Intan, Martapura, South Kalimantan. The research method used is qualitative research. Method of taking data by using interview and observation. The main research subjects were two prisoners, HRS and BSR were supported by two informants, prison officers and counselors as a complementary source of data. From the results of research can be described psychological condition of inmates are divided into four aspects, namely cognitive aspects, affective aspects, social aspects and psychomotor aspects (behavior). The research findings can be summarized as follows, on the cognitive aspect can be described prisoners are susceptible to cognitive dysfunction this is related to the ability his perception, the ability to catch and often lose concentration, while the affective aspects of deep sadness, suspicion and excessive alertness, And anxious, to social aspects show behavior tend to withdraw from association among fellow inmates, often sat pensive and become loners or close themselves. In the psychomotor aspect can be seen from maladaptive behavior, can manisfestation in the form of behavior of sleeplessness, lack of spirit and loss of interest, even the desire to hurt until the desire to end life.

Abstract

Belief or self efficacy is owned by someone to do an action influences activities and efforts of someone in facing difficulty of finishing of certain assignment. Especially, college students who are in Program Khusus Ulama in IAIN Antasari, they need to have a belief with theirselves to finish the final assignment as a schedule decided. With this reason, to increase the self efficacy this study designed an Achievement Motivation Training (AMT). It is a training oriented to increase motivation to achieve some goals had have decided by individuals based on their ability. The research subject invited to know theirselves more through self evaluation based on other people assessment. Then, deciding some goals wants to reach and deciding a strategy and a target based on their ability achieved from result of self evaluation. Sample of this research was 10 people and to decide experiment participation by random sampling. This training was for college students of Program Khusus Ulama of Tafsir Hadis department in Faculty of Ushuluddin and Humaniora. The conclusion is that Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) has effects to increase self efficacy of ollege students of Program Khusus Ulama. The score of Self Efficacy showed that students’ self efficacy proven higher than before they follow the AMT.

Abstract

This study aims to determine work-family balance strategies in women who have a dual role especially in Banjar women and to know the factors that influence the achievement of balanced work family. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with interview data collection methods. The research subjects were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study are related to strategies in balancing work and family that are done by the subject, namely 1) making the best use of time, time management, completing work on time, separating work and family matters, making special schedules to spend with children and other family members every Saturday Sunday or holiday, and prioritize important days for families and children such as child shows and others that indeed our existence becomes important for our families 2) monitor the family while working for example by making a single call to the child to check the situation even there are parents or household assistants who guard them, 3) share roles with husbands. Furthermore, the factors that influence the achievement of balance are 1) partner support 2) commitment at the beginning of marriage 3) the same experience of the husband. The implication of this study is that it can provide an overview related to work-family balance strategies in women who have multiple roles. Work-family balance is important for everyone because if the multiple roles run are not balanced then it is likely to lead to family and work conflicts.

Abstract

Peristiwa melahirkan bayi dan menjadi ibu untuk pertama kali bagi setiap wanita menandai dimulainya suatu transisi. Perubahan yang terjadi di masa tersebut adalah perubahan drastis yang terjadi dalam hidup seorang wanita dan umumnya akan mendatangkan masalah psikologis bagi para wanita itu sendiri, khususnya bagi wanita yang memutuskan untuk tetap bekerja. Sebagai ibu dan wanita yang bekerja, tentunya tidaklah mudah untuk menjalani perannya sekaligus, hal ini membutuhkan usaha yang cukup besar untuk dapat menjalankan peran-perannya tersebut. Maka dari itu wanita yang menjadi ibu sekaligus bekerja perlu melakukan penyesuaian-penyesuaian agar dapat menjalaninya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dinamika proses penyesuaikan diri wanita yang bekerja pada peran barunya sebagai ibu serta faktor-faktor apa aja yang mempengaruhi proses penyesuaian diri tersebut. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga orang wanita bekerja yang baru memiliki anak satu (usia anak ≤ 1 tahun). Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus sedangkan metode pengumpulan data yaitu dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi sesudah menjadi ibu yang dimiliki subjek berbeda-beda, karena ada perbedaan individual yang dimiliki subjek itu sendiri, namun mereka sama-sama berusaha untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan tersebut. Sedangkan faktor yang mempengaruhi proses penyesuaian diri tersebut yaitu faktor internal (terkait dengan pribadi subjek penelitian) dan faktor eksternal (lingkungan di luar diri subjek).
