Abstract

Abstract: Philosophy and science into light for the human civilization. Both have a different starting point, the philosophy developed using speculative-reflective approach, while science using deductive-inductive approach. Relations binding both like two sides of a coin. Philosophy gave birth to science and science contributed to philosophy. Besides, philosophy and science have the same goal of seeking the truth for the sake of the welfare of mankind. The results generated from both truths are relative and relative so that people will always explore, revise, and reconstructed the philosophy and knowledge that already exists, the goal is to find a new truth. Education and guidance and counseling is one branch of the ideas of philosophy and science. The goal of both is to develop human potential and to make a prosperous and happy human life. Oriented education in the process of making a man of what their condition becomes the condition of how it should be. Guidance and counseling as a branch of science education have different characteristics with education itself. The education process emphasizes the cognitive aspects of counseling and guidance while stressing the affective aspect. Making philosophy as a way of thinking and placing science as a way of knowing in education, guidance, and counseling is something mandatory so that the orientation and objectives of both can be achieved.Keywords: Philosophy, science, education, guidance, and counseling

Abstract

This article discusses the concept of quality and reliability of qualitative research in counseling and guidance. In accordance with the principle of qualitative research that "researchers as instruments" or self-reflection, this implies the criteria for assessing the quality of qualitative research in counseling and guidance. The subject of this article is to examine how to conduct qualitative research that has a good level of validity and reliability, especially in guidance and counseling research. In addition, it examines the criteria of Credibility in qualitative research guidance and counseling. Criteria for the reliability of qualitative research in counseling and counseling include social validity, subjective and reflexivity, data exhaustion and, interpretation. The last subject is to examine how strategies improve the quality of trustworthiness of qualitative research in counseling and guidance.Keyword: Qualitative Research, Quality Credibility, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Behavior of aggression is one of the troubled behaviors that teenagers do today. This is shown by teenagers by intentionally harming others, both physically and verbally. This research is quantitative descriptive research. The populations in this study are students of Muhammadiyah Vocational High School in Yogyakarta city amounted to 306 and the number of samples as many as 160 students. The result of data analysis shows that (1) very high category is 5%; (2) high category is 26%; (3) medium category is 40%; (4) low category is 21%; and (5) very low category is 8%. Keywords: Behavior of Aggression, Students of Vocational High School

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of group guidance with sociodrama technique to overcome bullying behavior and develop group guiding model with sociodrama technique to overcome bullying behavior. In the research development of group guidance model with sociodrama technique to overcome bullying behavior using procedure used refers to research development. The results of research conducted, referring to the test criteria then 0.000 <0.05 then Ha accepted and Ho rejected so that it can be said that there are differences in the level of bullying behavior in students between before and after treatment. From the average score can be seen that the average score of bullying behavior after the students treated is lower than the average student bullying behavior score before being given treatment.Keywords: group guidance, sociodrama, bullying

Abstract

Resilience skill is defined as the ability to cope with challenges for dynamics life. Referring to the understanding of Islamic teachings, the resilience skill of surahah Ad Dhuha  perspective is different from the general understanding of resilience.  Resilience has two interconnected dimensions namely dimensions in difficult circumstances and dimensions in capacious condition, which are considered as one unity of connectedness. The eleven  verses of Surah Ad Dhuha has the meaning of resilience as well as resilience skills which definitely important to those who choose the path of religious life, this is explained at each step of the verse.Keywords: resilience skills, surah Ad Dhuha

Abstract

The phenomenon of behavior hurt others as if no longer a new story. The act of attacking directly or indirectly leads to criminal acts that can injure the victim either physically or psychologically. This study aims to provide an overview of aggressive behavior in junior high school students. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. This research uses data collecting tool in the form of aggressiveness scale. Subjects in this study were junior high school students consisting of DIY. Subjects were taken by using simple random sampling technique. This research uses data analysis technique with standard deviation formula. The results of this study indicate the aggressiveness of junior high school students in DIY in very high category of 1%, high category 13%, moderate category 37%, low category 43%, and very low category 6%.Keywords: Aggressivities, Behaviour.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of group counseling with paradoxical intention technique to reduce student verbal aggression. Researchers utilize quasi-experiment method and pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study is students of SMPN 2 Buay Runjung OKU Selatan Period of 2016, which classified in high verbal aggression after filling self-report verbal aggression scale. The data were analyzed with Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Based on Wilcoxon singed rank test Z -2,534 with asymp. Sig 0,012, it meant group counseling with paradoxical intention effective to reduce student verbal aggression.Keywords: Group counseling, paradoxical intention, verbal aggression.

Abstract

Students are at the stage of the final teenage development task. At this stage, one of the teenagers developmental tasks is to choose, prepare to run a job and make career planning. Career selection requires more careful preparation and planning than just getting a temporary job. Career planning is influenced by career development which is a series of changes that occur at every level of life. Student Motivation in Participation It is an encouragement from students to follow lectures in accordance with their wishes, their wills, and be able to see their interests, talents and ability to plan for the future. Based on the calculation results obtained that the correlation shows the probability 0.000 <0.05. This means that there is a significant relationship between student motivation in following the lecture with career planning.Keywords: Motivation, Career Planning

Abstract

Hamka is a scholar and intellectual who mastered various fields of science, including tasawuf, education, literature, culture, tafsir, jurisprudence, journalism, politics, and so forth. This expertise is what makes researchers to examine his thoughts in terms of each experts expertise. It is also the background of researchers to consider the thought Hamka reviewed through psychology and counseling. His thinking is about the personality who is reflected from his various works. This study uses literature review approach to review Hamka thinking about personality, so that analysis technique used content analysis. Sources of data used are scientific works written directly by Hamka discussing about the personality, and supported by other relevant works. Hamkas thoughts about personality are explained through four things that she thinks to have a major effect on ones personality. Four things are things that can cause personality, things that can strengthen the personality, things that can weaken the personality, and things that can improve the personality.Keywords: Hamka, Personality, Psychology and Counseling

Abstract

Acts of drug abuse now in a critical, even already spread among students. One of the attitudes that should be developed by students to avoid drug abuse is assertiveness. To develop assertiveness, Counseling teachers/ counselors can train them in group guidance services. This paper uses experiment methods with one group pretest and posttest design. Samples are students who have low scores on assertive behavior. Instrument assertiveness use a questionnaire with Likert scale. This research uses t test statistic analysis. Too many nouns The result of research shows that there is the influence of group counseling service toward assertive behavior for prevention of drug abuse got t test (7, 043) >t table(1, 83) with α=0,05.Keywords: Group Guidance, Assertive, Drug abuse
