Abstract

Abstract: The language arising from interaction between individuals gives a meaning that the relationship of language and culture has its own influence for the habit of thinking and behaving individually. This is because language is a means of expressing the mind so that it reflects the individuals self-image of the behavior he is showing. Language is a means of thinking and communication for the individual, so communication skills can be defined as language skills. In the context of education, language is the medium of instruction, while in the realm of guidance and counseling, language is a reflection of the counselees mind by reflecting from his world view, so that by understanding the language, the counselor will understand the counselees perspective. Language is closely tied to individual feelings and activities or behaviors. In the context of guidance and counseling, the language used by counselors can be a weapon and should be used wisely. The language should be cohesive, coherent, accurate, and meaningful in the process of guidance and counseling services to enable effective communication between counselors and counselors. The direction of research that will be done more emphasis on the topic of language use by the counselor and the language response of the counselee as an effort to examine more in the use of language appropriate to the educational situation.Keywords: Language, Communication, Education, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

MEA be one challenge for the country of Indonesia. One way to prepare qualified human resources through education. The parties have a role to address the various challenges that arise and thrive in the world of education in Indonesia in the era of MEA is BK teacher/ counselor . Effective counseling interventions need to prepare qualified human resources in the face of the MEA , the Solution Focused Brief Career Counseling . In the counseling intervention , students are required to be able to immediately solve the problem of his career and making career choices that match their interests , talents and expertise so as to compete in the world of work.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of group guidance in improving students self-esteem SMAN 1 Cariu Bogor. The research method used is quantitative method with quasi-experiment approach. The study population was 148 students of class X. Samples taken by using sample quota samples were 16 students, divided into two groups; experimental groups and control groups. Self-esteem instruments are used to find out the students self-esteem level by 20 items. Data analysis techniques using percentage of questionnaire results. The conclusion of this research is the effective group counseling service in improving students self-esteem.Keywords: guidance group, self-esteem.

Abstract

This study aims to know parents perception toward the implemetation of inclusive education of elementary school in Lampung. This study used survey method.  411.005 parents who speread into 5900 elementary school  in 2016 were taken  apart as population of the research. The research sample were 399 parents in eight regency/ city in Lampung. In collecting  the data, the researcher employed open- ended questionnaire.  The data were analysed using percentage formula. The research finding shows that 74% parents agree to the application of inclusive education in elementary school, whereas 26% parents disagree with performance of inclusive education in elementary school. The most reason agree on the implementation of inclusive education states that every child has the same rights, while the most reason that disagree with the implementation due to fear of negative impact when their children mixed with  special needs children.

Abstract

Abstract: This article describes and discusses (1) understanding of "niche", (2) niche counselor in Indonesia, (3) niche counselor on formal education, (4) niche counselor "to come" in Indonesia. Constraints to realize the role of school counselors, among others, principals and subject teachers who do not understand the function of guidance and counseling. Many school counselors who are not graduates of Guidance and Counseling but are merely odd or functional. Many and almost average in school School counselors do not have adequate facilities to work ideally, so the counselors performance is less than optimal. School counselors are not considered important by students and educational components in schools. To overcome these obstacles required the participation of both governments, ABKIN, own counselor, and community environment, especially the school environment. From the counselor and the institution that shelter it needs to show good performance and from other components need to give trust and opportunity to the counselor to show its performance.Keywords: Niche, Counselor, Formal Education

Abstract

Traumatic experience makes a person unhappy and often overwhelmed with excessive fear. They need counseling for relieving the symptoms of the traumatic experienced. Sandtray therapy is a therapeutic technique that utilizes the sandtray as a medium in the therapeutic process. Integration sandtray therapy with solution focused brief counseling approach can help traumatized children to become more adaptive to the symptom of trauma and the purpose of counseling is to increase the resilience. Counselors use questioning techniques to help children traumatized by sandtray therapy with a solution focused approach with the aim of finding exceptions and setting of goals of counseling by the client to overcome the symptom of trauma. Trauma therapy model by integrating solution focused brief counseling with sandtray therapy that consists of creating stabiltas sense of security, reconstructing the trauma story and  improve relations with the society.

Abstract

Culture values have big effort toward individual mind set. In family life, there is a culturein educate their children that need their parents’ thoughtfulness and control in childhooddevelopment stages. Individual character building started from parenting thatimplemented on their children by their parents. The objective of this research explainedabout parenting profile of lampungnese in educate pre-school children. Method of thisresearch was qualitative descriptive. The data were taken by interview includedobservation and document data (triangulation). The result shown that Lampungneseparents had authoritative parenting character. Abstract

Abstract: The self-concept of underachiever students is students’ incapability in recognizing and estimating upon himself. Underachiever students are students who have high potential but high learning achievement is low or under the potential and self-concept it has. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of classical guidance services to students who have self-concept of underachiever. This research uses quantitative approach, pre-experiment method with one group pretest design - posttest design. The sample of research students of Class VIII Junior High School Al-Fajar Pringsewu number was 13 students conducted by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that classical guidance services proved to be effective in improving self-concept of underachiever students.Keywords: Classical Guidance, Self Concept Student Underachiever.
