Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the development needs of the STILLaLI Model. This study discusses the students’ profile of critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills in the Biology Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar. This study used quantitative descriptive research with 46 students as respondents. Critical thinking skills data was collected using a test technique, and creative thinking skills data was collected through surveys. The results showed that critical thinking skills were in the less critical category with an average score of 53.09, while creative thinking skills were in the creative enough category with an average score of 58.02. It is necessary to develop a learning model that is able to improve the critical and creative thinking skills of students of the Biology Education study program at UIN Alauddin Makassar, namely the STILLaLI Model. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan Model STILLaLI. Penelitian ini membahas profil ketrampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi pendidikan Biologi UIN Alauddin Makassar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan 46 mahasiswa sebagai responden. Data keterampuilan berpikir kritis dikumpulkan dengan teknik tes. Data keterampilan berpikir kreatif dikumpulkan melalui survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada kategori kurang kritis dengan nilai rata-rata 53,09, sedangkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif berada pada kategori cukup kreatif dengan nilai rata-rata 58,02. Perlu dilakukan pengembangan model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Biologi UIN Alauddin Makassar yakni Model STILLaLI.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explore student perceptions of learning with synchronous, asynchronous, and blended learning approaches. This study is quantitative descriptive research with a survey approach, which refers to the National Student Survey, consisting of 9 aspects: teaching methods, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, academic support, organization and management, learning resources, learning communities, student opinions, and overall satisfaction. The participants were 120 students. The results showed that the mean scores of the synchronous approach were higher on teaching methods, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, learning resources, and overall satisfaction aspects; blended learning on organization and management, learning community, and student opinion aspects; and had the same on academic support aspect. Although the findings are limited, they can be used to inform and improve future pedagogical approaches in optimizing more effective student learning. Recommendation for further research requires guidance in designing learning by collaborating asynchronously and synchronously by paying attention to these aspects. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi mahasiswa tentang pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pembelajaran sinkronous, asinkronous dan blended learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantiatif dengan pendekatan survei yang merujuk pada National Student Survey, terdiri dari 9 aspek: metode pengajaran, peluang belajar, penilaian dan umpan balik, dukungan akademik, organisasi dan manajemen, sumber belajar, komunitas belajar, pendapat mahasiswa, dan kepuasan secara menyeluruh. Sebanyak 120 mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pendekatan sinkronous lebih tinggi pada aspek metode pengajaran, kesempatan belajar, penilaian dan umpan balik, sumber belajar, dan kepuasan secara keseluruhan, dan blended learning pada aspek organisasi dan manajemen, komunitas belajar, dan pendapat mahasiswa, dan keduanya sama pada aspek dukungan akademik. Walaupun temuan terbatas akan tetapi dapat digunakan untuk menginformasikan dan meningkatkan pendekatan pedagogis masa depan dalam mengoptimalkan pembelajaran mahasiswa yang lebih efektif. Rekomendasi penelitian selanjutnya perlu adanya panduan dalam merancang pembelajaran dengan mengkolaborasikan asinkronous dan sinkronous dengan memperhatikan aspek-aspek tersebut.

Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to improve the competence of MIPA (Mathematics and Natural Sciences) teachers using Information Technology (IT)-based learning media. A participatory action research (PAR) was conducted on twenty-five teachers from 3T regions (Frontier, Outermost, and Least Developed) of Konawe Kepulauan Regency. The findings revealed that: 1) The initial comprehension of MIPA teachers was in the low category, with an average score of 43.84. 2) The competence level of MIPA teachers after training was high, with 81.12. 3) Training using IT-based learning media effectively improved teacher competence, particularly the professional competence of teachers in the external domain. The main implementation constraints encountered by teachers were a lack of knowledge about software application installation procedures and a lack of optimality in utilizing the various features possessed by each application. Therefore, IT training is needed to improve teachers' professional competence in optimizing the use of various applications in the 3T area. Abstrak: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru MIPA (Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam) dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis Teknologi Informasi (TI). Penelitian tindakan partisipatif (PAR) dilakukan terhadap dua puluh lima guru daerah 3T (Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal) Kabupaten Konawe Kepulauan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pemahaman awal guru MIPA berada pada kategori rendah dengan rata-rata skor 43,84. 2) Tingkat kompetensi guru MIPA setelah pelatihan termasuk tinggi yaitu 81,12. 3) Pelatihan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis IT efektif meningkatkan kompetensi guru, khususnya kompetensi profesional guru pada ranah eksternal. Kendala utama implementasi yang ditemui guru adalah kurangnya pengetahuan tentang tata cara instalasi aplikasi perangkat lunak dan kurang optimalnya penggunaan berbagai fitur yang dimiliki setiap aplikasi. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan IT diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan berbagai aplikasi di bidang 3T.

Abstract

Abstract: The increases of the internet era have become stronger. The development of technology on the internet is marked by social media usage. This research aimed to analyze YouTube gaming contents’ impact on children’s development. The methods used in this research were descriptive methods and literature studies using socio-pragmatic analysis and transactional techniques based on a qualitative approach. Six YouTube content videos were used as object materials for analysis in this research. Researchers used socio-pragmatic analysis techniques to analyze the data. The results of the research showed that there were impolite speech acts in the behavior of streamers when presenting gaming content that affected a child's development, and there were several negative impacts of online game addiction, such as online game syndrome and activity of slamming smartphones for online game addicts when they lose. Abstrak: Peningkatan era internet semakin kuat. Perkembangan teknologi di internet ditandai dengan penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak konten game YouTube terhadap tumbuh kembang anak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan studi literatur dengan menggunakan analisis sosio-pragmatis dan teknik transaksional berdasarkan pendekatan kualitatif. Enam video konten YouTube digunakan sebagai bahan objek analisis dalam penelitian ini. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis sosiopragmatik untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tindak tutur tidak sopan pada perilaku streamer saat menyajikan konten game yang mempengaruhi tumbuh kembang anak, serta terdapat beberapa dampak negatif dari kecanduan game online seperti sindrom game online dan aktivitas membanting ponsel untuk pecandu ketika mereka kalah.

Abstract

Abstract: The relationship between continuity and differentiability in graphical problems are two concepts that students are pivotal in understanding derivative concepts. However, researchers rarely pay attention to how students understand the relationship between Continuity and differentiability or vice versa. This study investigates students' understanding of the relationship between continuity and differentiability. This study is exploratory and focuses on the meanings students construct. The participants were 195 third-year undergraduate students from various Indonesian universities. A questionnaire and interview were used to collect data. Ten of the participants agreed to an in-depth interview for exploration and clarification. Thematic analysis was used to deduce patterns from participants' responses based on the findings. The results indicated that students construct three types of meanings when they solve problems: physical, analytical, and covariational. The findings could serve as a conceptual framework for future learning processes emphasizing continuity and differentiability. Abstrak: Hubungan antara kontinuitas dan diferensiasi dalam soal grafis merupakan dua konsep yang sangat penting bagi siswa dalam memahami konsep turunan. Namun peneliti jarang memperhatikan bagaimana siswa memahami hubungan antara Kontinuitas dan diferensiasi atau sebaliknya. Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengetahuan siswa tentang hubungan antara kontinuitas dan diferensiasi. Penelitian ini bersifat eksploratif dan berfokus pada makna yang dibangun siswa. Pesertanya adalah mahasiswa S1 tahun ketiga dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia yang berjumlah 195 orang. Kuesioner dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Sepuluh peserta menyetujui wawancara mendalam untuk eksplorasi dan klarifikasi. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk menyimpulkan pola tanggapan peserta berdasarkan temuan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa membangun tiga jenis makna ketika mereka memecahkan masalah: fisik, analitis, dan dan kovarian. Temuan ini dapat berfungsi sebagai kerangka konseptual untuk proses pembelajaran di masa depan yang menekankan kontinuitas dan diferensiasi.
