Abstract

The current national system of education is claimed not to match the field of work. This phenomenon is the reflection of the high level of unemployment graduated from secondary and tertiary level of education. The issue of unemployment seems to be a conti-nuous debate since the graduates wish to be government employees or labours and staff members of companies, without any willing to be entrepreneurs. A survey on the 2009 workforce nationally showed that 64% and 74% of the secondary and tertiary school alumni, respectively, work in government offices private companies. This indicates that the alumni tend to be unemployed simply because they wait the chance to be officers and labours, and reluctant to run their own business.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar matematika antara peserta didik yang diberi tugas kelompok dengan peserta didik yang di­be­ri tugas individu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam pe­nelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas IX. Sampelnya terdiri dari kelas IXB dan kelas IXC. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis data deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa pe­ser­ta didik kelas IXB memiliki nilai rata-rata kemampuan awal 66,57 dan nilai rata-ra­ta posttest 75,53. Sedangkan, kelas IXC memiliki nilai rata-rata kemampuan awal yaitu 72,97 dan nilai rata-rata posttest adalah 51,50. Hasil analisis data inferensial yaitu; normal dan homogen, sehingga untuk pengujian hipotesis digunakan uji t, dan diperoleh thitung = 6,194 > ttabel = 2,000 dengan nilai sig.(2-tailed) < α atau 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil be­la­jar matematika peserta didik kelas IX MTs. Madani Alauddin Paopao Kabupaten Go­wa antara yang diberi tugas kelompok dengan tugas individu. Temuan pe­ne­li­ti­an menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tugas kelompok lebih efektif dapat me­ning­katkan hasil belajar peserta didik.Abstract:This study aims to find out: differences in the learning outcomesamong learners who are given group assignments with learners given individual assign­ments.This type of research is a quasi experimental research. Population in this stu­dy were all students of class IX. The sample consisted of class IXBand class IXC. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and inferential statis­tics.The results of descriptive data analysis showed that the students of class IXB had an average initial ability score of 66,57 and a posttest average of 75,53. Mean­while, class IXC had an average initial ability score of 72,97 and a posttest average of 51,50. The result of inferential data analysis utilizing the normality and ho­mo­geneity test of both classes which were used as research sample proved to be nor­mal and homogeneous. Therefore, the hypothesis testing used t test whih resulted in tcount = 6,194> ttable = 2.000 with sig score. (2-tailed) <α or 0,000 <0,05. Therefore, the H0 is rejected which means that there is a significant difference between group work and individual work in mathematics learning outcome of the students in IX class Islamic junior high school of Madani Alauddin Paopao Gowa regency. Re­search findings indicate that giving group tasks more effectively can improve learners’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is aimed out implementation of govern-ment policy toward private Islamic schools before the role UU SPN No. 20 Year 2003. In reality, the policy of government did not run effectively, even it did not give advantages for private Islamic school, because the application is restricted to curriculum development. The Government has tried to perform several Islamic schools in order to be followed by private Islamic schools such as state Islamic schools, Islamic school for Islamic program, integrated school and so on. How ever, the Islamic private schools cannot run together with state schools because they face problem on financial and facilities of educational standard.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pondok pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan juga sebagai lembaga pengajaran agama dan sosial keagamaan, mulai dikenal di sepanjang pantai utara Jawa seperti di Gresik, Surabaya, Tuban, dan sebagainya. Beberapa ciri khas yang dimili-ki oleh pondok pesantren secara umum yang masih dipertahankan sampai sekarang ini adalah kiai, santri, pengajaran kitab Islam klasik, masjid, dan pondok. Sistem pendidikan dan pengajaran di pondok pesantren diklasifikasi menjadi tiga tipe, yaitu pesantren tradisional, pesantren semi modern, dan pesantren modern.Abstract: Boarding school as an educational institution as well as religious institution and religious social teaching have been known along the northern coast of Java, such as Gresik, Surabaya, Tuban, and other places. Some characteristic possessed by the boarding school in general is still maintained until now such as kiai, santri, teaching classical Islamic texts, mosques, and pondok (a place where santri live). The education system and teaching in boarding school are classified into three types, namely traditional boarding schools, semi-modern boarding school, and modern boarding schools.

Abstract

The management of a faculty should encourage staff participation for a change. A decreasing trend of government financial support for higher education pushes a faculty to be more efficient in financial plan. In line with this, a good faculty should develop harmonious relationship internally and externally. Such is a strong collaboration which may lead to positive process, input, output and outcome. To get a maximum outcome, there are at least five aspects to strengthen; strengthening of steering core, building network, developing resources, diversifying funding base, and developing a culture of entrepreneurship. To achieve these aspects, a dean should play roles as a dove, a dragon and as a diplomat.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study were 1) to find out the level of teachers’ professionalism in MTs at Duampanua District, Pinrang Regency, 2) to find out the level of student achievement in MTs at Duampanua disctict, Pinrang Regency. 3)  to find out the effect of teachers’ professionalism toward student achievement in MTs at Duampanua Distict, Pinrang Regency. This research was descriptive quantitative, with ex post facto design. The location of this research was MTs at  Duampanua District, Pinrang Regency. The population of this research was the headmaster, teachers, students, parents, and other elements in all MTs at  Duampanua district, Pinrang regency, with a sample of 25% of the total population. The data collection methods were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The technique of data analysis was the quantitative using percentage. The results of the research showed that teacher professionalism was good in both aspects quality and quantity. Student achievement was classified high category. The effect of teachers’ professionalism toward the increasing of student achievement  measured by the six aspects was in the high category.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan; 1) mengetahui tingkat profesionalisme guru pada Mad­ra­sah Tsanawiyah di kecamatan Duampanua kabupaten Pinrang. 2) mengetahui tingkat prestasi siswa pada Madrasah Tsanawiyah di kecamatan Duampanua ka­bupaten Pinrang. 3) mengetahui tingkat profesionalisme guru pengaruhnya ter­ha­dap prestasi belajar siswa pada Madrasah Tsanawiyah di Kecamatan Duam­pa­nua Kabupaten Pinrang. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jenis penilitian Ex Post Facto. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah Madrasah Tsanawiyah di wi­layah Kecamatan Duampanua Kabupaten Pinrang. Populasi dari penelitian ini ada­lah kepala madrasah, guru, siswa, orang tua, dan unsur lainnya dalam ling­kup Madrasah Tsanawiyah se Kecamatan Duampanua Kabupaten Pinrang, de­ngan sampel 25% dari jumlah populasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digu­na­kan adalah; observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data adalah persentase kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profesionalisme gu­ru cukup memadai baik dari aspek kualitas maupun kuantitasnya. Prestasi bela­jar siswa tergolong dalam kategori  tinggi. Pengaruh profesionalisme guru terhadap pe­ningkatan prestasi belajar siswa yang diukur dengan enam aspek masuk dalam ka­tegori tinggi.

Abstract

This research is about the development of ICT-based English instructional mate-rials of English for Specific Purpose. The purpose of this study is to determine the type of instructional materials used in English language instruction, develop Eng-lish for Specific Purpose materials that integrate ICT, and assess the effectiveness of instruction by using ICT-based instructional materials as well as the traditional instruction. The method of research was a research and development. The met-hod of data collection were observation, interviews, study the document, port-folio, and tests. The technique of data analysis in this study used mixed method. The Results showed that ESP materials used in UIN Alauddin looked traditional and they were focused more in using textbook, white board, and face to face in-teraction. ICT based instruction has been developed systematically and revised based on recommendation, and the use of ICT based instruction is more effective than the one with printed materials.

Abstract

This article discusses about the pattern of descent of revelation systematics applied in hidayatullah boarding school, Panyula, Bone regency. This research focuses on the implementation of the pattern of descent of revelation systematics in accordance with the qur’anic character building at the boarding school. The researcher collected and analized data by using descriptive qualitative. This research found that hidayatullah boarding school has successfully applied educational methods on quranic based to build students’ character. Based on the descent of revelation systematics, it has regenerated and internalized values as what have been done by the Prophet Muhammad in his first dakwah in Mecca. This research aims to give academic contribution to teachers in order to build Islamic character of the students.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keaktifan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran yang berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik. Secara teoritis, pemanfaatkan jurnal refleksi sebagai strategi metakognitif dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manfaatkan jurnal refleksi sebagai strategi metakognitif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik pada materi Kesebangunan Bangun Datar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 3 siklus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX-A SMPN 2 Winongan. Pada saat proses penelitian, pengamatan dilakukan terhadap pengelolaan pembelajaran dan keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Pada akhir setiap siklus, diberikan tes hasil belajar matematika. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan jurnal refleksi sebagai strategi metakognitif dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IX-A SMPN 2 Winongan pada materi Kesebangunan Bangun Datar. Dengan demikian, disarankan kepada guru khususnya guru matematika untuk memanfaatkan jurnal refleksi sebagai strategi metakognitif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik.                                                                 AbstractThe background of this study was the low activeness of students in learning that impacted on the low learning outcomes. Theoretically, metacognitive strategies utilizing reflection journals can improve the activeness and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to describe the learning that utilizes reflective journal as a metacognitive strategy in improving the activity and the result of learning mathematic material of congruent flat surface. This research was classroom action research consisting of 3 cycles, and the subject was the student of class IX-A SMPN 2 Winongan. In the process, observation of the management of learning and student learning activities was done. At the end of each cycle, a mathematics achievement test was given. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The result of data analysis showed that learning by using reflective journal as a metacognitive strategy can increase the students’ activeness and their learning outcomes of congruent flat surface material. Abstract

In doing daily activities, as individual works in the public relation, sometimes faces some choices. The individual often gets conflict because of the choices. If the conflict appears but it cannot be overcome, it can arise stress. If the individual get long stress, he can be attacked by burnout syndrome. Therefore, everyone need to understand what burnout meant, what the characteristic of someone who gets burnout is, what influencing the appearance this syndrome, what aspects covering and how its psychological dynamic. The important thing explained that the individual can know earlier and avoid the syndrome attack.
