Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between family support and self-care adherence in diabetic ulcer patients. The research design was a cross sectional study, the sample was 53 diabetic ulcer patients undergoing wound treatment at health service facilities in Poso City. The research results showed that of the 10 respondents (18.9%) who received high family support, 9 respondents (17.0%) were compliant with self-care and 1 respondent (1.9%) was not compliant with self-care. Of the 43 respondents (81.1%) who received low family support, 5 respondents (9.4%) were compliant with self-care and 38 respondents (71.7%) were not compliant with self-care. The results of statistical tests using the Fisher's exact test obtained a p value = 0.000, indicating that there is a significant relationship between family support and compliance with self-care for diabetic ulcer patients. The conclusion is that family support is related to compliance with self-care for diabetic ulcer patients. The higher the family support, the higher the level of compliance with self-care for diabetic ulcer patients, so it is recommended for nurses to educate families to provide support for patients.

Abstract

One of the parameters of CT-Scan that is of particular concern is the radiation dose. Receipt of excessive radiation dose in patients will cause cancer. It is necessary to minimize the radiation dose received by patients in each examination by comparing the optimization index called Diagnostic Reference Level (DRL). This study aims to determine the local DRL value on CT-Scan at RSIY PDHI and compare and analyze with the national DRL value set by BAPETEN. This research is quantitative study with an experimental approach that aims to analyze the CTDIvol and DLP values on CT-Scan at RSIY PDHI. The DRL value is determined by determining the 75thpercentile value of CTDIvol and DLP values in CT-Scan examinations. This study was conducted on head examination in 156 patients without contrast and 2 patients with contrast, abdominal examination in 54 patients without contrast and 7 patients with contras, and thorax examination in 2 patients without contrast and 1 patient with contrast. In this study, the local DRL value of RSIY PDHI was obtained, with CTDIvol values in head, abdomen, and thorax examinations without contrast of 55,1; 12,5; and 5,4 mGy, respectively. And examination without contrast obtained values of 38,4; 10,2; and 4,47 mGy respectively. The DLP values in head, abdomen, and thorax examinations without contrast are 1122; 601; and 150 mGy.cm respectively. Examination with contrast obtained respectively 781; 479; and 151 mGy.cm. The DRL value obtained is categorized as safe because the local DRL value of RSIY PDHI has a lower value than the national DRL value set by BAPETEN.

Abstract

The problem of CED in adolescent girls not only impacts individual health, but also has long-term consequences, especially in terms of reproductive health and the quality of future generations. Adolescent girls who experience CED are at risk of giving birth to children with low birth weight (LBW), which in turn can increase the risk of stunting. Therefore, efforts to prevent CED from adolescence are very important to break the chain of intergenerational nutritional problems. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of nutritional knowledge and BMI status on the risk of CED in adolescent girls. A cross-sectional study was used to analyze the phenomenon of an increasing trend in the incidence of CED based on Body Mass Index and a description of the knowledge possessed by young women at a certain point in time. This research involved 40 teenage female respondents aged 17-19 years (late adolescent age group). The results show a significant relationship between BMI and CED risk, with a p value of 0.011. All young women who had a BMI in the thin category were identified as having a high risk of CED, while the majority of respondents with a normal BMI (68.2%) were not at risk of CED. These results indicate that BMI status is a strong predictor factor in determining the risk of CED

The data collection technique was purposive sampling with a total sample of 60 respondents. The analysis used several statistical tests, including Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney, and Independent T Test. The results of the research showed that the effectiveness of video media on knowledge was 97.38% and was in the effective category, while the effectiveness of booklet media was 83.34% and was in the effective category. The effectiveness of video media on attitudes was 81.91% and was in the effective category, while the effectiveness of booklet media was 58.47% and was in the category effective enough. Conclusion: The effectiveness of video and booklet media is not significantly effective in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women with an effect size of 0.03. The effectiveness of Video and Booklet media is significantly ineffective for the attitudes of pregnant women, or in other words, it has a small effect size with a value of 0.23. The effectiveness of Video and Booklet media is significantly ineffective for the behavior of pregnant women with a large effect value of 0.25. It is recommended that future researchers be able to examine the effect of the education provided on increasing blood glucose levels in pregnant women after the intervention
